We have a small vineyard producing our own wine on beautiful remote Flinders Island. We have a 7 bedroom house for our working friends to share. We require 2 days work per week in exchange for accommodation. Our picking time is late March through April where many people in our small community give us a hand but we could do with a few more hands to help. The other 5 days per week could be spent exploring our island and joining in with our community. Pruning follows soon after that so volunteers welcome.

We are set in a beautiful rainforest alongside Wellington Park.
we have access to some great mountain walks with picturesque scenery and abundant wild life. In winter we can be covered with gorgeous snow.
Our house is close to self-sufficient but not quite there yet.We have solar power and fresh mountain water.
At present the accommodation would be a single room(double bed) in the house with shared facilities. We generally eat vegetarian food but are not strict about this. We have a dog and 10 chooks.
Due some ill health we require some assistance with labour and building.

Lovely modern home in bush setting 10 mins drive from GPO. On bus route. Peaceful and secluded. A busy family of 5 with 2 school aged children. Extensive native garden area.. Jobs include garden maintenance, animal care (chickens), housework, assisting with landscaping and building projects. The main tasks this summer will be lots of weeding and clearing/pruning to help get the garden back on track. You will need to be able to work independently and enjoy physical outdoor work. An improvement in fitness guaranteed!

We generally ask for 4-5 hours in exchange for accommodation and meals as negotiated. We do not supply meals on days off - but of course you are welcome to use facilities to supply and prepare your own if you are around.

Hours are flexible and negotiable depending on individual needs. We will be busy coming and going with work, managing our kids schedules in the holidays etc. We usually try to all share the evening meal together. Staying with us would suit independ... more inside

Hello happy travellers,

We are a family of 4 (4 year old boy, 9 year old girl) living 20 mins out of Hobart, in a suburban area on the edge of the bush, near a river and 5 mins from Kingston Beach. There is a major bus route nearby.

We live these principles:
Wellness: Raising healthy & well-balanced children, healthy home-cooked food, non-smoking
Sustainability: Learning to grow organic vegetables using permaculture principles, composting toilets, building with recycled materials, saving energy.
Happiness: Balancing hard work and enjoyment, community involvement, time in nature, living simply and comfortably.

Given that we are a very children-oriented family, you'll need some interest or experience in interacting with young children. My 4 year old will want to discuss dinosaurs with you, and my 9 year old will want to play the piano for you.

We would like your help with:
If you're an OUTDOOR person --
- Gardening (vegetable and ornamental)
- Fence repair
- Painti... more inside

We are interested in finding a helper(s) to assist us look after our property - helping in the vege garden, bush, fencing and building maintenance and with housework.

We are a registered cattle property but we have sold most of our cattle recently due to the very dry conditions.

We are located in an open forest and temperate rain forest area in the Coal River wine region of Tasmania. Our property has some hills and includes a secluded and beautiful little rain-forested valley with tall trees, a dense under-story and ferns. This area is known as a Devil nursery and we have a healthy Devil population. We also have quolls in the area. There are also plenty of wallabies, wombats and other native animals.

As a retired couple and are finding it harder to look after our property. We love having younger people around us again since our own children have left home however we only accept a few helpers in any one year.

Preference is given to helpers that are non-smokers and all h... more inside

Hello, nice centrally located property in West Hobart. Walking distance to town, water front and most of what Hobart has to offer.
Big back yard where a lot of vegies grow.

I need a few people to help with some backyard excavations
shortly start building a studio on the back of the property and look for one or two helpers.
How you can help is by doing some digging, garden work, or work around the house, while I am doing the digging. ;-)

Looking for 1-3 helpers during summer and autumn. At the moment we would love to have those who have experience in building, woodwork, rendering or cob building. Any handy man skills are welcome as we are building our new ceramic studio using natural building methods.

If you feel attracted to alternative life-style with a lot of potential to be creative then this is the place for you. Both of us are professional ceramic artists. Our small property is 40min drive South of Hobart in the picturesque Huon Valley.

We live in an old house and work most of the time in our studio or building a new one (natural building techniques). Also have a veggie garden, many fruit trees, and chickens not to mention the visiting possums and wallabies during nighttime. So, as you can imagine there is plenty of work around (some jobs can be demanding) –gardening, building, renovating, helping out in the studio and of course housework.

In exchange for 4-5 hours work daily, we provide you with se... more inside
