At the moment, we're looking for someone to tackle our vegetable garden, preferably someone over 25, with experience of gardening, and a French speaker would be a bonus to brush up our French!
We are a large family living in Limerick city, four people living at home at present. (more during the summer), including a dog and guinea pigs. We have a large garden about 20 mins walk from the city centre, and a comfortable home.
Limerick is well placed to explore the west of Ireland, with bus links to the counties all around us. The city itself is a nice size, with the Shannon river close by.
We are architects, currently working from a building in our garden which some of our lovely past HelpX workers helped to turn into an office.
Accommodation offered for one person or a couple, meals included - we buy as much organic produce as possible, and cater for wheat/dairy/egg intolerances, as well as trying to eat raw regularly - green smoothies in the morning a speciality!

Based in west Wicklow, I am semi-retired. My husband still works. We have two grown up daughters who come and go mainly at the weekend. I love gardening especially perennials and unusual bulbs but need help with it. I am looking for someone to help with general gardening tasks such as weeding, planting, dividing etc and some general house maintenance tasks starting in January 2018 in exchange for board and accommodation. I have a double bedroom available with a shared bathroom. Some horticultural experience/knowledge required. 1-2 weeks per visit. Approx. 20-30 hours work per week, weather dependent. No smokers please.
We live approximately an hour's drive from Dublin with beautiful local hills and lakes for exploring. There is a bus service into Dublin City centre. We love to hike and do a bit of cycling. We also have a place on the west coast of Ireland which we may need a hand with during your stay. We have a dog, an old cocker spaniel, in case anyone is allergic to dogs.

I'm Elizabeth and recently I have had some helpX-ers working with me in restoring the gardens, back and front. I now need one person with construction experience in either or both woodwork and in building small walls.
Current needs are:
(1)constructing a 'laundry shelter' so I can dry my clothes outdoors.
(2) building small walls around raised beds.
(3) there is also some garden maintenance needed including some lifting/carrying soil
(4) The decking surfaces need maintenance
Let me know which of these tasks you are interested in helping with.

The accommodation I offer is a room, with TV and internet, and I would like you to work an average of 4 hours a day (28 hours over the week) Since some work is outdoors I need a person who is flexible depending on the weather. My helper will have taken English lessons and will have experience in understanding and speaking simple English. Please let me know how long you attended classes.
I will provide your food, but since I am a not... more inside
