Hi,
My name is Sally and my husband is Ralph.
We have lived in Burgau, South Western Algarve, Portugal for more than 38 years.
Ralph had a stroke 5 years ago and is in a wheel chair, so most of my time is taken up looking after him.
We have a lovely 4 bedroomed Retreat called Salsalito, which closes at the end of October until the end of April.
We are looking for a person who is fun with a good sense of humour to keep on top of the outside, clearing leaves, weeding, netting the pool, general gardening.
The accommodation is taken up with the guests this time of year, so somebody who has a caravan or tent.

We are 10 minutes walk into the fishing village of Burgau, 5 mins by car to Luz and 10 mins by car to the Historical town of Lagos.
There is a bus stop right outside our driveway.
There are lovely walks along the cliff tops and bird watching is very popular.
The west coast is close by for surfers.
There is a surf and Yoga school in Burgau.
We can provide a double bed... more inside

Can you help? Unfortunately this week our swimming pool was damaged so we need a strong person to help Rob repair it. He will have to dig up some of the tiles to fix it. We are also hoping to alter a wall. You don't necessarily need building experience, just a willingness to work along with him and some labouring work. This job is taking priority. Our guest room is available until June 20th.

We are a married couple enjoying living in and updating an old farm cottage. We have installed some solar power, a wood burner and plumbing, so the essential services are there but we would be pleased to have some help to tidy up the cottage and garden/grounds. We have worked hard in clearing 15 years of overgrown foliage. Typical jobs we are working on include: building a rockery, sorting an overgrown flower bed, raking into piles for future bonfires, splitting and moving logs, and general maintenance such as preparation and painting iron gates, iron furniture etc, We have a double ... more inside

We are a small farm working with horse riding holidays and we've just opened a small school to teach some horse riding with non aggressive methods. We've already bought and recovered more than 20 horses that were basically abandoned or miss cared and we really love our work! We are looking for some helping hands that could stay with us for some time or perhaps even in a long term! We prefer Portuguese speaking people but not mandatory.

I'm Tania and i'm living in a small farm situated in a valley 5 minutes from Tomar.
I need help with general farm and gardening work, as for the last 2 years I have been so busy raising a little baby on my own, that the farm became slightly neglected.
Now I really want to get back on track and I am looking for energetic and inspired people that can help me not only with physical work, but also giving ideas and suggestions on how I could improve the land and make it as self sustainable as possible.

I can offer a room, shared toilet and kitchen (in my house), 3 vegetarian meals a day, trips to the lake with the kids when its hot, portuguese or italian lessons, yoga daily practice, occasional riding lesson in a farm nearby and visit the beautifull city of Tomar.

In exchange I ask for minimum 4hours work per day, 6 days a week.
Work can include general gardening/farming work, building and repairing (i started making a greenhouse out of reclaimed windows but it needs some t... more inside

We are a young festivally-outdoorsy-fun-having type couple. :) lots of loves for sewing, art, glitter, cooking, walking, nature, yoga. We love learning! We like to go to markets& socialise with people there as well as having people over at ours / going to parties but we also like to have our own space & quiet.

Our quinta is a beautiful 8 hectare site right alongside the Mondego in the bottom of a valley. Being right on the river means we can swim to cool off in the heat! You can also do fishing & cray fishing. We're right on the edge of the serra da estrelas so the area is really beautiful. There is also an excellent community of english speaking people here too so It's a good combination here of nature-seclusion & socialising/events.

We've got looaaads going on right now & are looking for as many hands on deck as possible!

looking for help with/opportunities to learn;
-carpentry; building yurt bases, outdoor kitchen, mini house, teepees
-planting; vegetable & herb beds a... more inside

This is not a job, this is a life experience.
We are looking for people who would like to live in a farm and help rebuilding it while learning how to work online and helping others on their personal projects.

We live as a community . We help each-other and we share the costs of living.
There is no rent but we split the bills and grocery shopping among everyone living in the farm.

You have to help with basic things around the house such as gardening and some construction and being part of the projects we may have going on.
