We live in the beautiful Yarrow Valley 10 minutes from Selkirk, in the country of the Scottish Borders, Scotland (1 hour train journey from Edinburgh to Galashiels or Tweedbank, then bus onto Selkirk, where we will pick you up. Johnny is a tree surgeon and Lulu runs the holiday let business. The businesses are very varied and there is always something different to do each day whether clearing, building, making, sanding, gardening, strimming, cleaning, painting, joinery, furniture making and more.

Qualified joiners would be fantastic, for projects in our Yurt and Shepherds Hut area in the woods. Needing a shower block and loo facility :) We are wanting to make a log cabin in the woods too, so anyone who has the skills to build and make a camping area would be much appreciated.

We would love to welcome you into our house, there is lots to do when not working, beautiful walks from the door and a tennis court, with a loch 20 minutes up the valley for a swim!

We are a family of four live in a large house with gorgeous garden, loch and small farm and we are looking to diversify and set up a business at home. We are looking for someone or a couple to work alongside us from September onwards, ideally for a couple of months but less time also an option!

We have a never ending lists of jobs to do such as helping in the garden, weeding the loch, logs to prepare for the Winter, painting a fishing hut, copious washing and hosting friends amd families staying over the summer. Our two daughters are great little helpers too! Grandad lives in a flat attached to the house and Granny lives in a house by the loch.

We are trying to establish appropriate new business ventures for our small holding and have a few projects underway. We would like 1 or 2 people, or a couple, to come and experience life here. Last summer we hosted a couple from Pamplona who were a huge success and we helped them improve their English enough to both get the teaching ... more inside

Now looking for help in the Autumn to put the garden to bed.No availability over the summer but may update later.

Ard Daraich has two self catering units and a plantsmans garden that is open to the public.
We need help with the garden especially in the spring and autumn. We also appreciate help with the changeovers in the holiday houses and have a large wild garden, open to the public, free-range hens, small vegetable patch and poly tunnel full of herbs and salads.

Help is needed with all this and in our "down to earth" lifestyle there is never a quiet moment! Whether firewood collection, foraging for mushrooms, shell fish or seaweed, collecting eggs from our rare breed flock of hens or picking soft fruit in season, there is always a job to be done!

We are an artistic couple who love people and offer hospitality to a high standard. Our volunteers will need to enjoy a changing environment with mixed demands in a stunning part of the world. Outdoor work is part of our life.... more inside

We are passionate about remaining in the EU with our European friends and neighbours!
Devon - general help with garden, clearing ground, weeding, firewood, fencing., a little help in the house with cleaning etc.

We would love to meet someone who is able to help us with mostly outside jobs. Some of the work is quite hard so you must be strong and fit, and willing to work in all weathers! Also routine jobs like feeding / cleaning out hens, weeding and tidying.

We are musicians (traditional/folk) living in the South Hams of Devon - an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are self employed in musical instrument repairs and always in need of more time for our business - the reason we need some help. We live in an old cottage in a village with a bakery and a pub.

We are looking for someone to help who is strong and able and thoroughly practical.

Currently building Base for Yurt and a Compost Toilet....carpentry skills would be helpful but not essential!...

Hello!
My name is Emma. For nearly 5 years now I've looked after 22acres of enchanted land on the beautiful Blackdown Hills in Devon. I'm gently turning the land in to an off-grid Nature Based Healing Retreat. There is weeding, planting, building gateways, compost loos that need creating....the list goes on!! It is magical there. We've already created a small orchard and a nuttery - I teach basket making there and have a passion for wild food foraging which I also teach people.

I need help!...working on the land and with the computer side of things....I am looking for genuine, hard working, honest, English speaking, happy, fun and inspired individuals to assist me.

My accommodation is simple....I live with my beloved cat, 6 miles from the land on a farm in absolutely stunning rural surroundings...in an old and cosy static caravan among a small community. The ... more inside

We're a multi-generational household looking for someone helpful and relaxed to come and stay for a week or so. There's lots to get involved with including various garden projects, hanging out with a 1 year old, helping with some housework and potentially sharing permaculture-inspired design ideas for our beautiful but underused space.

In return for an average of 5 hours work a day (we can be flexible with how this is spread through the week) we can offer you your own room, meals together in the evening and all your food while you're in the house in a peaceful rural location with frequent trains to London half an hour's walk away (always happy to give you a lift into town if we're around).

Our house is friendly and warm and a bit of a mess and there are often people popping in and there's a barbecue and a firepit and we'll drink together and we eat meat and we have a mad cat - if all this sounds like your cup of tea get in touch :-) We have been 'helpers' ourselves during l... more inside
