We have a home that fronts onto a lake and is surrounded by trees that is idyllic in its setting. The house is only 10mins from the Atlantic Ocean. Great for surfing. Ive recently started to do airbnb. And this is going quite well so far.

The grounds around the house are natural and wild with decidious trees, a stream, lake fronted and has plenty of wildlife as residents..

I'm looking for 1 or 2 people. Firstly someone with landscape architecture skills to design and create an informal amenity garden AND a garden area for growing organic food. The site is almost 1 hectare in size and is almost like a blank canvas. So the person will have artistic license to create/change and grow as they see fit. Also there will be some light household duties and possibly some construction work if the person has the requisite skills. But mostly it will be outdoor work.

I'm also looking for someone with building , carpentry and construction skills. I want to make changes to my house which wi... more inside

We are not looking for helpers until may 2019.We own a 34 acre farm overlooking the sea at Rathlackan co mayo. I am an artist and Siobhan is a conservation architect and together with our daughter Muirenn (8) we live in a large 17th cent farmhouse which we are restoring. We keep a flock of rare breeds of sheep . We usually try to grow as much of our own food as possible and to reclaim the the long neglected farm land.We will also soon start to harvest wild flowers and blossom to make our award winning vinegars. With the spring food festivals approaching we need help about the house and with the vinegar making.

As members of WWOOF Ireland we have been hosting woofers for three years. We continue to host woofers but could also do with someone to help indoors as well. Everyone dines with the family, and has their own room.

I'm a flute teacher and sculptor with a wide interest in the arts and also in nature, wildlife, Buddhism and psychology, yoga and meditation. I can offer a stay in a large, comfortable house in a beautiful part of West Cork not far from the sea. Accommodation and food in return for some help gardening and inside work, e.g. painting and decorating. Preference given to artistic and/or musical people (I have a good concert grand piano and room to paint/sculpt). Non smokers are preferred. Please contact me for further details and a link to photos of my place and the area, which is between Schull, Durrus and Ballydehob. The nearest towns are Bantry and Skibbereen and both are served by a regular bus from Cork. I have 2 mountain bikes that helpers are welcome to use too. You can see what it's like here if you go to my website page.

Some time out....
Lady Horticulturist(BSc Degree CIT)/also qualified Healthcare Assistant, Dog lover, can offer homestays in comfortable cottage to other Women only. Overlooking a beautiful valley, the small cottage is set on a southfacing acre in beautiful rural, peaceful countryside with rolling hills. It is ideal for taking some time out, walking along quiet country lanes edged by red fuchsias, orange Crocosmias and wild flowers in late spring and summer. Two lakes are nearby, stunning long beaches about a 25 minutes drive away. There is a small vegetable garden that needs to be planted, about 6 metres by 4 metres. It is covered with old straw at the moment, the soil is good. The garden has not been used for 3 years as i had been abroad a lot for the past few years, and then had an operation. Some seed sowing, and plants in pots need tidying and planting out, too. A shed might need to be painted with lime/whitewash inside and outside it. The grass needs cutting with a mulching mo... more inside
