Nestled against a hill, next to a state forest with a second to none view of the sea and surrounding farms, this isolated small farm, is looking to produce all its own organic food in a plastic free environment. You will have you own room and there is also plenty of places to camp if you fancy putting up a tent.

We are looking for short term international volunteers who are interested in fencing, gardening, creating a permaculture garden and clearing out some sheds. There is no public transport so having your own car is a plus but not necessary. If you have an interested in native birds and animals then this place will surprise and delight you. The season to see whales and seal pups is from May to September. Adult seals you can see all year around. The beaches and surf in this region are amazing as we are situated at the end of the Great Ocean Road, 40 kms south of Port Fairy. Looking forward to meeting you.

House in bayside suburb of Hampton, Melbourne.
You can have a single room with en suite or double room with shared bathroom.

I teach piano in a front studio of my house. I am looking for help with gardening and general maintenance around the house. 3 hours help per day over 5 to 7 days would suffice. Helpers to cook their own meals.

I am also keen on travelling and enjoy meeting new people from other countries.

I am about 1km from the beach and also about 1km from Hampton train station. There is also 1 spare bike to use and a local beach bike path.

Come help us turn our ramshackle garden into an organic, permaculture dream!!

We are Pete, Vicky, Morris (our dog). We're also expecting a baby soon! Vicky works full time at a not-for-profit organisation campaigning for a more progressive Australia (working on issues like climate change, refugees and social welfare). Pete is a newly trained-up social worker. Morris is an incredibly friendly white staffy who is universally loved by all he meets.

We live in a part of Melbourne, Australia called the Dandenong Ranges, an area with a bunch of forest national park.

We moved out here from the city recently and we are still getting our garden sorted! We have a block that's nearly an acre, with heaps of potential...But there is a tonne of clearing and other big landscaping to do before we can fulfil our dream of having a permaculture food forest, flower-lined paths, a massive veggie patch, a fernery and lots and lots of edible plants throughout the whole garden.

We hope you'l... more inside

Benalla is in north-east Victoria and we would be delighted to show you some of the attractions. It can be reached by train from Sydney and Melbourne.

We have purchased this wonderful property in a green rolling hills area, dairying all around us, and it is our challenge now to improve the property by planting indigenous trees and nurturing them, along with our many fruit trees and establish the shade/hot house. We are about to commence some out buildings for entertaining and we would love to have a couple of strong men, preferably with some rural experience to stay with us, enjoy our magnificent way of life, village at the end of the driveway, and while with us to explore the surrounding areas to Wilson's Prom and Phillip Island. We have 2 comfortable single beds in a separate private area and you will have your own kitchen area, or you can join us for your meals. Geoff loves to be working with some helpers.
If you think you are relaxed and friendly, prepared to put in some good work time, then there will be play and suggestions for more adventures in the area....please apply

We are a retired couple who love all things to do with the visual arts & music. We live in a large converted warehouse style building which has an open plan living area, two lofts and several bedrooms plus a recently opened art gallery. There is also a large garden on approx. half and acre with lots of fruit trees, a chicken house, pond and bamboo forest and very friendly dog named Krug!

We are living the dream here in Hepburn (approx. 1.2hrs from Melbourne). Our place is close to a general store (a few mins walk away) Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, several cafes, restaurants and a pub across the road.

In return for 4 to 6 hours of help per day we will proved accommodation, meals and vibrant conversation. We would love a hand with:

Painting
Taming the garden
Establishing veg plots

"Namaste"!
I run a Yoga Ashram and Ayurvedic Wellness Centre at home. Very spacious and comfortable residence. Accomodation and nourishing meals will be provided in exchange for help in the Home and Garden at least 6 hours a day, 6 days a week. Handyman/woman, couple with carpentry, gardening, painting housekeeping experiences welcome.
Property adjoining Golf course and Winery. Serene and peaceful. Plenty of shopping options available nearby.
30 minutes from Melbourne city and 15 minutes from Tullamarine Airport.
Given that this is a yoga and spiritual environment, do ideally prefer non-smoking, non-alcohol consuming helpers. Helpers are welcome to participate in Yoga sessions.

"Om Shanti"

I will be intermittently going over to SA to help my elderly mother so please contact me to arrange a mutually convenient period of stay. I won't be going over to SA till the end of the year.

The block of land is in a semi-rural zone adjacent to Maroondah dam catchment and Yarra Ranges National Park. Only 5km east of the township of Healesville in the Yarra Valley which is a wine and grape region.
Healesville is a tourist town surrounded by mountains. The Healesville Sanctuary is about 7km away with many Australian native animals.

Home is owner built earth wall home that has solar hot water (wood heating in winter)and grid connected PV. It is situated in a small semi-rural subdivision on a no through road.
The property has many fruit trees and large organic vegetable patch and is self sufficient in firewood.

As I am single and as I get older I need help in the home (cleaning/cooking leaves me free to do other things) and in the garden, as well as unfinished projects on/ar... more inside

Accommodation here is self contained and separate from my house, in amongst the trees and bush of Warrandyte. Morning walks with the dog along the Yarra River are a beautiful start to the day. The area is surrounded by State Parks, and includes the Yarra River so it is very peaceful, and good for swimming in summer. There is a lot of gardening and many odd jobs for you to help with and plenty of time to explore the Yarra Valley. At times help on community art projects may be useful. The weekends are kept free for sailing! If you are handy on a boat that would be a great bonus, but not at all necessary. (Those who prefer to stay on dry land are welcome to travel across town with us and explore the bayside areas)
It is a healthy property and seeks helpers who don't smoke or have unhealthy habits. Food options are varied and there is the choice to eat with me in the house or cook for yourself. Our local shops are five to seven minutes by car and this is also where a bus into... more inside
