*********** I will be looking for help again this spring ********* time to get the allotment going ******* my offer is well suited to a couple *******
I am a busy environmental professional who has worked all over the world, but am now trying to create my own little Eden at home.
I am offering a home stay - the room is a modest double suitable for an individual or a couple - in the fantastic city of Bristol. Bristol has a really vibrant culture, with a strong maritime history and lively music, arts, festival and local food scene.
I am looking for help from an energetic individual or even better a couple of HelpXers to lend a hand with my home and garden renovation, and allotment maintenance. The kind of tasks that need doing is help with exterior painting, shed roof repairs, digging and weeding, and sorting out the allotment water saving and irrigation system.
My home is situated in north east Bristol, and is on the Number 6 bus link into the centre of the city which takes... more inside

We have a log gasification boiler heating system and a lot of land.
We need help managing fuel for our log gasification boiler heating system [basically toting and stacking logs] and general strong help around this overgrown homestead and woodlands. We can provide ACCOMMODATION ONLY [ with perhaps the odd group Banksfoot meal or baking treat thrown in for fun]
and therefore ask for less hours per week than others- one 8 hour day per full week's stay.
If you are staying in a caravan, we would ask one 8 hour day for a full week's stay. Electricity or logs for your own fire are fine but will 'cost' extra hours.

You will have your own great big Georgian room [huge windows], a bed, sheets and towels, amazing views, spa bath tub and wifi tv heated shed.
You will have your own fridge/use of our kitchen so you can feed yourself.
The farm is situated right on the Roman Wall Walking route. Local sites include various Mile Castles [Our farm hosts the tallest bit of the wall still st... more inside

We are looking for someone to help out with basic jobs around the house such as a bit of gardening, cleaning, washing.... and the most important job which is to spend some time interacting, playing games and generally 'hanging out' with at least one of the children. We have two boys who are 9 and 11 years. We home educate our children, although my husband works full time and I am finding it difficult to keep on top of everything daily and still give them the attention they need so really looking for help with that. We are a happy and active family who enjoy travel, music and having fun. We would be looking for someone to interact with us as a family and in return we offer a nice room with a comfortable double bed and food. We request no smoking in and around the home and this is not a post for those who wish to party. Bridgnorth town is in walking distance and is quite beautiful and is set in the green lush rolling hills of Shropshire. We would be able to drive you to local ... more inside

Hello!

I am Nico, a full-time traveler (although now full-time web developer) from Barcelona.
I have traveled for +40 months and am now in London living in an old Victorian house of Nick, a cool guy who picked me up hitch hiking last year.
I mentioned I wanted to come to England so he offered me to stay at his place in exchange for very little work.
I have received so much help during my travels that now I have "my own place" I can help other people. I was always so glad when people offered me a bed, but it takes so little effort to help travellers that I feel bad for not having people over every single day...

At the end of May 2016, when I moved in, Nick and I started to fix the house and make it more friendly to live in. We had the idea that people could come and help us refurbish it in exchange for accommodation. It is an old Victorian house in Zone2 of London, and Nick and I (Nico) have completely refurbished one room (the one you'll stay in) by knocking down a wall and... more inside

17th Century former farmhouse with large overgrown garden that needs restoring!
We moved here last August and there is a lot to be done! We mostly need help with reclaiming the wilderness that is our garden. Also the house needs some updating, like wallpaper removal and painting.
We live on the edge of a small village but only 15 mins drive from the nearest town with shops and all you would need.
We have two dogs (Border Collies), a cat, chickens and runner ducks who lay tasty eggs!

We have spent 2 years on major house/garden renovation, trying to make our lifestyle as low impact as we can, & I am now at the stage of needing some help: to clear &terrace & plant a very steep bank, get in place rainwater harvesting system, chicken pen, fruit trees, wood store & lots more. I am offering all food & accommodation for approx 6 hours/day. Day off/ week. Min 1 week. Beautiful location few minutes from beach. Bikes & kayaks available. Wi-fi, TV, table football, red squirrels, lots of birds, fantastic walking. Hard physical work, fit people needed!
We are about 10/15 mins walk from the village shop which is really well stocked. There is also a Post Office/cafe/ bar. Ventnor, a small town, is about 20 mins cycle along the partly closed to vehicles road, or about 1 hour walk along the stunning coastal path. The surfing is apparently quite good when conditions are right.
'Phone reception at the house is poor to non existent, but people seem able to connect to the wi... more inside
