We have a large family house that we run as a B&B in the Summer. However in the winter it is just our home. We need help painting it and sprucing it up.
We provide meals and /or food depending on whether helpers like to cook .
The time we need this help is in late November and early December.( 26th Nov - 7th Dec)
We look for a 1 -2 week stay and we drive our helpers to the mountains if they would like to hike on their time off.
We offer a large bedroom with 4 single beds and two ensuite bathrooms for our helpers.
Wicklow Town is a seaside town that is close to the sea, mountains and Dublin.

We live in an old farmhouse in the beautiful countryside of West Cork, about a mile from a small village with good pubs! We are a lesbian family. Our two lovely girls are aged six and nine. The area where we live is very beaitiful, full of musicians, artists and writers. In terms of what we are hoping for, there are lots of things you can help us with! So a couple or pair of friends would be ideal. We prefer helpers with experience of helpx or childcare.
In terms of help, we are always looking for help in the garden, with the animals and vegetables, and in the house with housework and childcare. Home maintenance, possibly some painting etc around the house would be great. Plenty of more creative projects possible (but not necessary!) such as stone work, murals etc for those who are interested, and we value your input and ideas.

We have had a number of helpxers over the past year and it was a very positive experience for us, and there are a several families who take helpxers i... more inside

This is a Georgian mansion in the Dublin mountains and the city's south suburbs. At present, we host private parties and family occasions. The property is a very large beautiful old building. Help is required for general maintenance including housekeeping and gardening. The property is only 25 mins to Dublin airport and similar time into Dublin city centre. There is a regular bus service into the city and beyond just a 10 minute walk away. We have the best of both worlds in a rural haven on the edge of our bustling capital city. Food allowance given so must be prepared to cook for yourself. If you are interested in coming to help us please get in touch. Thank you.

I would love help with my long narrow garden which opens onto another larger area of land where I have a polytunnel and raised beds. I have 4 very shy cats who sleep in the conservatory/studio. I am a non-smoking vegetarian/vegan and love preparing food, so you would be well fed - all meatless meals :-)
I have only just signed up on Helpx so for now I can't think of anything else you might want to know. Please contact me if you have any questions and are interested in a week or so in Killyleagh - and see some of this area on the shores of Strangford Lough.
