Hello,
My name is Lucie and I live in a small charming village (less than 30 inhabitants)close to switzerland border, in Jura mountain. It's a wonderfull place surrounded by nature, where mountains fall into the doubs river.
I bought my house 2 years ago, I've spent 2 years renovating it and now I need help into my garden.
I manly need your help to dig up bushes and to use brush cutter (physical work !).
One of my passion (also my job) is cooking edible wild plants, and it'll be a pleasure to share it with you !

My cooking is vegetarian, and I can adapt for specific needs (vegan, gluten free,...)

My place is ideal for hiking and for nature lovers.

Please contact me for more details.

Waiting foward to meet you, I wish you a nice journey,

Lucie

Ken and I (we`re English)live in the countryside near Domfront in Basse Normandie (Lower Normandy). We are retired and live here permanently with our cat, five goats, three sheep, two bossy guinea pigs, and some chickens(we did have llamas but they have gone to live somewhere else - not too far to visit though) All are pets or grass cutters, we don`t eat them.

We need some help partly with the garden, weeding, digging, mowing, edging, that sort of thing. Also with the field, the woodlands (small and damp so nowhere near as grand as it sounds) and the animals.
We can probably cope with any one of these but all at once is too much these days!

You will also need to enjoy working with animals and perhaps be happy for example to clean out the sheep hut or the chickens, help keep the goats supplied with hay, help Ken if any fences need repairing, that sort of thing.

Nothing we haven`t and don`t do ourselves - but we are getting older and no longer get round to doing every... more inside

Bilingual English/french family (deutsch auch verstanden und ein bissi gesprochen)
living in AN OLD STONE FARMHOUSE UNDER RENOVATION WITH A LARGE NATURAL GARDEN.

I need help with various DIY jobs and gardening,
I would like someone to help out for 4-5hrs, 5 days a week in exchange for full board and lodging, I'm a good cook.
Plenty of unskilled help needed... remove the old cement floor in the stable which is quite friable, some shutters to sand down and windows to paint. For one large task I need someone with skills and experience in renovating stone walls. There is always gardening to do, I am experimenting with raised bed, permaculture type ideas and am interested in BRF.
At the weekends you are welcome to stay or have a break to explore the region, if you stay at the weekend I will expect you to share meal preparation & clearing up (or help out with other household tasks).

*IDENTIFICATION
On your arrival, we will ask to see and to copy, your passport or ID.
We hope... more inside

Bonjour!

We are Dalila (French), Pete (English), Emilie (10 years old) and Sidney (7 years old). Our place is an old chateau set in 29 acres of meadow, in the Pyrenees mountains, 1h30 south of Toulouse.

We'd love you to help us with:
- Splitting wood for heating next winter
- Stacking wood
- Tidying up the vegetable patch (weeding, turning soil, etc...)
- Tidy the garden after removing box hedges
- Put floor in the barn

Looking for practical and hard-working people, who enjoy physical work and being outdoors. Ideally a person who can split wood...
You should be fairly independent and comfortable around children as our kids will love interacting with you!

About us:
We've finished renovating the interior of the chateau in 2009, and with sustainability in mind, installed solar panels for hot water, photovoltaic panels for electricity, rain water collection, composting. We're using our own wood for cooking and heating in the winter; and eating fruits and vegetable... more inside

I bought this farm a couple of years ago but life has meant that I am living in Germany for a few years before a permanent return. However we visit a few times a year for a month at a time to carry on the renovation works.
If you want to improve your building and woodworking skills (my profession) this will be the place to come and learn! I could also do with help getting the garden into a usable state.
Get in touch and I can let you know how things are going and if it is possible for you to visit during our time at the house. (July/August 2018 next visit)
I speak English, German and some French.
A word to the pictures...
That's me with the long hair repairing a roof whilst I was Helpxing myself last year. In the background is a stone arch I rebuilt. The rest are from me and my 'new' house (it looks a lot better already)!

Seven years ago I was a marketing student in Spain. Depressed and extremely unconfident about myself, an amazing and horrifying experience took place in my life, taking away from me everything. No more hope, no more dreams, no more sense, no more life.

And then, Life came in. With all its Magic, with all its Love.

I quit my studies, came to France, and travelled for a couple of years around Europe and Asia, following an inner force that guided me towards a more human and nature loving existence. People, permaculture, biointensive gardening, yoga, meditation, healthy food, music, all came into me with such an obvious and important place in what started to become a happy, simple, rich and meaningful path.

Two years ago I bought 1 hectare of magic land, and started to create a food forest. Since march 2017, I have 3 more hectares in which I'm setting a biointensive garden and a food forest combined with a miniature cob village specially created to connect children, but not o... more inside

HI!
fourth season, let`s start again!
i`m florent, 28yo living on my parent`s property with my brother (25) and a few friends sometimes. Its located in Reillanne, in the middle of the luberon region. We grow veggies, have some chickens, all of it means a little bit of work everyday at home.
As we started renovating a house 3 years ago with natural materials as straw, soil and wood, we`re gonna need people to help us on this!
Feel free to contact me to say hi, to stay here and give a hand. We`ll be having fun, going around and sharing things!
I`d like to say a big thank you to Jonas, Janka, Gabriel, Rhys, Anna, Amandine, Vincent, Tina, Max, Damien, Claire and Brett for the work during the 2 last summers! It was amazing!

Bonjour,
nous revoilà pour la quatrième année consécutive!
Je suis Florent, je vis sur un terrain chez mes parents dans le Luberon à Reillanne. Nous avons un jardin et quelques poules dont il faut s`occuper tout les jours.

Update (Sept 2018)
We would like to find a couple of enthusiastic helpers who would be happy to help us in our organic fruit and veg garden, the other gardens and also other jobs around the place including gite/yurt change overs, looking after customers, helping to prepare meals and tidy up in the house and generally just living as part of the family.

There are always projects on the go that you can get involved with also including tree planting, building a puddled pond, building a cob bread oven, renovating an old pigeon tower and flooring a cart shed to make it suitable for group yoga,it will be a really busy crazy time but should be fun as well.

Please see our website and Facebook page for more information on what we are about and get in contact if you are interested.

In return for all of your hard work you can expect to have some great evenings around the camp fire chatting or playing music and enjoying great food and the odd glass of local wine. There will also be... more inside
