Hi Helpers!

There`s a loooooooot of work to improve our "new" home in countryside. You can join and help to take care of the garden, improve the housing, making every kind of works (building, painting, electricity, plumbing, wood-cutting and whatever...).
Actual priority is to clean around, vegetation growing wildly from 20 years.

You can check my CS profile via the web link above to have a more precise idea of my personnality. My partner Viki will be more and often at home too. As a ceramist, we`ll try to provide her a lovely and efficient workyard in a refixed part of the house !

We`d be happy to welcome you as friends and of course... life is not only working! Chilling, having walks, enjoying countryside, cooking together... having good times :)

Since we`re not permanently at home, we prefer to organize your stay a bit on advance, so that you can come when we are at home and discover together how it gets along.

I live a basic self sufficient lifestyle isolated in a forest on the French countryside. I take care of my own food and breed animals for the meat. Not all the way, a supermarket is still part of the foodchain. I started my current lifestyle many years ago with a partner and am continuing the back to nature experience on my own. Living here brings energy and connection to nature and ourself.

I am looking for help in all the things that are part of my daily routine on my place, in my house and around in the forest. If you have a talent for cooking that would be very welcome, please share your knowledge to make me enjoy cooking more. Apart from that your hands and body are welcome for harvesting and preparing vegetables. For chopping firewood together with me (autumn and winter). Clean and maintain to keep everything in good function. To help me with repairs and construct new ideas. To take care of the animals etc. But also you as a person are welcome to communicate and exchange wi... more inside

We live in simple accommodation ourselves with a cold shower using well water and a straw-toilet. Ideally a single person or couple with their own tent or van, happy to cook for themselves most of the time and help out, depending on a helper's skills and preferences. Hello!
My boyfriend Mathieu and I, Silvia, we found our beautiful spot of nature one year ago in the french countryside. Our project is to build our bioclimatic house, wich will be realised with natural materials like wood and straw. We did a lot of experiences like this in the past, traveling around the word. More Mathieu is wooden constructor and i'm architect!
You are welcome to stay with us if you have some experiences in ecological building or if you are curious about, and you want to learn more about!
We provide to all meals during the week(organic and local food mostly) and you will have a kitchen available during the week end .
We can come and get you to the train station in Gourdon (20 minutes from us) or Cahors (30 minutes from us) or in a carsharing/hitchhiking stop point.

We have spent 35 years protecting wildlife. Since coming to France we have created a natural environment for wildlife in our grounds, we live on a beautiful mountain adjoining forest land with fantastic views in the Ariege, Pyrenees. Our aim is to encourage others to be involved. Bonjour!

We are Annie (Australian), Jean-Philippe (French), Martin (10), Tomas (5) and Georges (1). We live in a large 18th century house on half an acre in the small village of Cox about 1 hour west of Toulouse. We speak French and English, and can stumble along in Spanish.

We are looking for practical independent people to help us finish renovating our house and getting our garden into shape. You should be happy spending time in a noisy family, as our boys and the neighbours` kids will be excited to meet you.

Our main projects for this summer are re-tiling the roof, constructing retaining walls for the garden , installing the main staircase, finishing the bathroom, and the vegetable garden.

But we need all kinds of help: plastering, tiling, carpentry, painting, plumbing, garden design/maintenance, clearing out the barns, cooking, playing with kids!

We expect a total of 25 hours work per week. Depending on what big job needs doing next, we can be flexible about the s... more inside
