We could use some help at the moment with various things, harvesting macadamia nuts, firewood, cutting out weed trees, general weeding, beehive maintenance, etc.

In October we are starting with Avocado pollination and could use some help moving hives. Mid to late November will be kiwifruit pollination. Also we will be putting honey boxes on hives.
Mid December to February we harvest and extract honey and would like a couple of keen strong people who are not afraid of bees or heavy work in hot weather to stay for a month or two.

Who we are and what we do;
We are a middle aged couple that run a beekeeping business alongside two kiwifruit orchards.
We live off the grid (solar power) in an earthbrick house with all natural timbers inside.{although not finished yet, still working on that too}.Our shower is outside. Water is heated by the woodstove in the house. Accommodation for helpers is in a caravan. It is comfortable but can get cold in the winter as there is no heating in th... more inside

Hi there,
We own a small farm with a few dry stock, free range chickens and ducks and we grow a lot of fruit e.g. oranges, mandarins and plums as well as our own vegetables. We are almost self sufficient and try to grow our food as organically as possible. There is always heaps to do. We are looking for help with some projects in the garden and vegetable area.
We offer comfortable accommodation and good food for some hours of work. Our helpers should like animals, be not too young and stay about a week. We can pick up from Thames or Paeroa bus station if needed. We are located 1 hour from the most beautiful beaches and close to great activities such as the Karangahake Gorge and the Pinnacles.
Please contact us for further details.
(The small house on the picture is the sleep out.)

Hi,
I think I live at one of the best bush spots in Coromandel Town, surrounded by 170ha of Department of Conservation land with three streams and only 3km's from town. I brought my place just over a year ago and I'm half way through renovating the two small houses on it. I work full time in town and also have a small coffee roasting business I run from home. I love to travel and get away overseas each least once year and have lived overseas.

We are offering a few hours of casual work each week to travelling couples wishing to explore the area. You will need a New Zealand work permit. We would like you to stay at least one week if possible.
If you have a tent of campervan, we will provide you with a site at the holiday park.

You must both be hard working and practical.
At the moment, we need help with cleaning the facilities and units and keeping the grounds tidy.

We are situated in the main street of town just across from the harbour. You have complimentary use of our kayaks to explore the estuary and inner harbour and the use of all the holiday park facilities. Whitianga is a lovely little town and good base from which to explore the rest of the peninsula.

I have a small block of land with a large vege garden and small orchard. I need a couple of willing helpers to help me with some physical work -gardening, mowing, mulching, clearing long grass In exchange for 4-5 hours a day I could provide accomodation and food. Maybe 2 or 3 days work at the moment. I would like a couple or a couple and a friend. I live close to Whangapoua Beach and New Chums Beach which helpers may like to explore in their time here. I look forward to meeting some travellers. Would be good if you have your own transport.

I live in the middle of beautiful, sunny, tranquil valley, surrounded by covenanted bush with a stream running through my land, 15 minutes from Hot Water Beach. Living in a covenanted area includes care-taking for the bush.
I need one or two people to join me to help with house work, including cooking, spring cleaning, maintaining vegetable gardens and orchard (weeding). Also in building a "Memorial Garden" for my wife Mirjam, who sadly passed away in August 2017. Knowledge of alternative power sources (solar, hydro, etc) is welcome. Also tracks through the bush need to be maintained.
Please bring your strength, enthusiasm and peaceful cooperative attitude.
My place is an eco retreat, drug and alcohol free and strictly non smoking.

I live in the bush, in a beautiful environment, with a small orchard. There's always plenty to do, (inside and outside) sometimes heavy work, and I could do with some help.
