We live in a new house on a lifestyle block (6500m2) about 5 driving minutes out of Cambridge at the bottom of a lovely reserve.

We have a very comfortable and spacious guestroom for our helpX people. You share a bathroom with the children but they're not in there much. There is room for up to 3 people.

We have 3 young kids (8 and 6 and a 6 months old baby), 2 dogs, 3 cats, 4 goats and 6 chickens.

Rod is a full-time firefighter in Hamilton and also runs a concrete garden edging business. Susanne also runs a couple of businesses.

Currently we require help with childcare mainly just for the baby as the 2 big kids are at school during the day. Ideally 2 mornings a week so Susanne can go into her office to work.

Besides that, we'd like help with landscaping and general gardening as well as general work around the house.

There is always something going on, with the animals, the children or the house.

We are looking for someone who likes to participate in our e... more inside

We are a community of 14+ people. It started as a family coming together to live communally and we have slowly grown and opened up to share with more people. All connecting into the community whatever amount is right for them.
Together we have many skills we share, Everett is a builder who built his own tiny house, Christine is passionate about healing and permaculture gardening, Penny is a mother of three and enjoys to making wine and preserves.

At the moment we have an amazing project, we are creating a second community, renovating a beautiful old 1920s villa.
So there are lots of different things we could use a hand with, from building, painting, gardening - we are happy to teach and share the journey.

Expect to be surrounded by life, bustle and children. This is a community bringing the heart to the hea... more inside

Hi,
We are a family of 2 adults and 4 children (aged 5, 7, 9 and 11 years old).
I also have a small seasonal flower farm on leased land across the road from our house. At the moment I need help getting the flower farm tidy, and ready for spring. This means jobs like mulching the dahlia beds, mowing, weeding, seed sowing etc.
Other jobs if its too wet would be helping as needed with family life. We are not slave drivers but in return for all your meals, accommodation, wifi etc we would want 4 hours of work.
We have a large spare room for our helpx which would suit an individual or couple.
We enjoy meeting new people and think it is great for our children to interact with people from all cultures.
We are on the very edge of Hamilton but still walking distance to shops. We are close to the famous Hamilton Gardens and central for day trips to Hobbiton, Raglan etc.
We would love to hear from you

Hi there,

We are a NZ/Dutch couple who just moved to rural Waihi.

We run a ceramics business from our property. The last few weeks we have been busy getting the business up and running and have had little time to work in de garden and in the house.

We would like to have some help!!
Jobs could involve, gardening, cleaning, cooking, maintenance etc.

t takes only 15 minutes to drive to the beach and halve an hour to the Coromandel. There is plenty of bush walks close by and on the property we have a pool, tennis court and billiard table.

Looking forward to getting in touch with you. We respond to all emails.
