We are a hill country sheep and beef farming operation with an historic homestead set in a 30 acre arboretum
We are 1 hours drive from Gisborne but only 15 minutes away from beaches at Tokomaru and Waipiro bays.
Most of the work here would involve gardening, painting, carpentry, rock wall repair and working in the bush.
We have many pets including dogs, cats, donkeys, chooks and a pig.
Give us a call
We have many projects that need to be finished before winter. We need 2 or 3 hard working and keen people. If one person could cook as well that would be awesome.

Hi there,

We are a young farming couple in our mid thirties running a sheep and beef farm about forty five minutes from Gisborne town, in a truly beautiful spot. You'll need your own transport to get here. We have 2 cats, 1 dog (7 farm dogs), 2 pet lambs and lots of sheep and cows.

You'll have your own bedroom and bathroom. We have a tennis court and swimming pool which you can use on your down time. Rere Rockslide and the Eastwoodhill arboretum are only minutes away. We also have free Wi fi here.

We have 2 x children and need some help looking after them and around the house and the garden and maybe on the farm.

We're looking for people a week at a time.

Look forward to hearing for you.

Cheers,

Lisa & Tom :)

- Hihiroroa Station - guaranted real farm experience!

Hello travellers from all over the world,

We, Angie and Hamish, would love to welcome you on our farm in the middle of nowhere (45 minutes from Gisborne). You'd have to be prepared for sheep roaming over green hills and a chaos of loveable charming dogs.

We are looking forward to hear about your culture and country, as well as showing you the sweet as kiwi farmlife. Your tasks on the farm might include (depending on the time of year): learning general sheep and cattle handling skills, fencing, gardening, tree planting, dog care, household tasks such as cleaning and cooking which we all share with, like most things on the farm.

Accomadation is your own room in the house. We have Wifi in the house.
Unfortunately, we are not in the situation to cater for vegetarians or vegans
