Our farm and tourist operation needs people who can multitask and undertake a varied role position on a busy 1000 hectare sheep and cattle property which also runs an exclusive lodge. If you have a passion for all things relating to farming, conservation and hospitality, then this is the right place for you. This is a challenging and most rewarding family run business in a beautiful rural setting. We have a lot of projects underway all year round and we would love to have the help and enthusiasm of like minded people; be it creating new nature trails, drenching sheep, working in the maple nursery, helping with our new conservation project which is in the heart of the Kiwiburn music and art festival area. This festival is New Zealand's regional Burning Man Event held each year on the Farm. We are also looking for help building some Forest Cabins and eco toilets. General good fun and hard work. The opportunity for fine and wild times here is yours. Please give us a call on my cellphon... more inside

We are permaculture teachers looking for childcare help about 20 hours a week while I am doing my student teacher placement. Ideally we are looking for someone who would like to earn their Permaculture Design Certificate while they are here with us.

We have 2 children, ages 2.5 and 5 and live on a beautiful 14 acre farm. The job would be a live-in position with specified hours of care (mainly before and after school). About 4 hours per day/ 5 days per week in exchange for room and board.

We run permaculture courses and a forest kindergarten, and there will be 2-4 other interns living on site earning their permaculture design certificate while you are with us. We live 4km from Whanganui and have bikes available for use (and a car to use with the children). We eat vegetarian/ homekill meat. Other interns will be working on the farm, and while there is opportunity for you to be involved on the farm, I need someone who is specifically interested in helping with child care.

Req... more inside

Hi. I live in the heart of Whanganui, 10 minutes from the lovely Castlecliff Beach, 10 minutes from CBD, with my two dogs and grandson. I`m offering a lovely double room in my warm and friendly home for up to 2 people (queen bed) in exchange for 2 hours help per day (can be flexible about times/ days). Use of all the facilities - kitchen, unlimited wifi, etc. Needing general help - garden work, tidying, housework, handyman work - flexible on what helpers are able to do and skills, but need to be motivated and work independently at times. A real homely Kiwi experience!

We are a young couple on a lifestyle block 10 mins drive from Wanganui. We have a lovely 4 bedroom house, 3 children (all at school) and a small block of land. We have been here for 2 years and are slowly working our way through the huge list of never ending jobs (mainly outside jobs)
In winter we hand rear calves (around 120) so we keep busy with that.
We are into all things outdoors, such as hunting and spending time outside.
we are very relaxed and easy going, and have a lovely happy house. I am a great cook/baker and promise you will be fed well!
We have many animals here and pets as well. Fraser is a police Dog handler and we have a lovely German Shepard Dog at home with us, along with 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 pigs and the farm animals.
How many animals we have here depends on the time of year (winter is our busier time)

Jobs that you would be doing would include General gardening and outside maintenance. helping with feeding animals, some cleaning possibly, ... more inside
