Hi there. My wife and I and our children farm mid micron wool sheep and Angus beef cattle. We are looking for assistance with general farm chores ranging from animal feeding, and horse care to gardening, planting, fencing etc. There are some awesome views to the surrounding hills and mountains!!

We prefer a male/female couple (non smoking).
Your expected Work hours 4 hours/day/ mornings on afternoons off/ with some flexibility (max hours for helpx helpers per week would be 30 hours). We supply basic food but you will cook this yourself at the accomodation. Accomodation is private cabin (100 metres from our house) with power, fridge, toilet, shower and wifi. This is suited to couples who like their own privacy although we try to include you with our family when possible (for some meals etc).

Hi there, thank you for checking out our profile. We are a family of three - with my two lovely horse mad girls being 17 and19 years old.
We live 15 min from Rangiora on the banks of the Okuku River and under Mt Thomas which is a must to climb up/walk. We have a track to a river swim hole and its awesome to swim horses in. On our small farm live 18 horses and ponies,10 sheep and four cats. We live a really busy life and pack alot in most days. I`m working part time locally and my daughters are normally busy training ponies after school.

Work can include poop picking, gardening, landscaping, horse care, housework and some general farm work. We have wood to split and stack on a sunny day. so we are waiting for the right helpex with muscle/handyman skills which would be a real bonus right now.
Experience with horses is a plus but not necessary. We can usually arrange a ride. The girls prefer to train their own ponies. However, there is still much to do with the horses on th... more inside

If you enjoy working with horses and an outdoor lifestyle we would like to hear from you.
My husband and I run a small horse and cattle farm, backing on to Forestry and walking tracks. 10klms from Rangiora.10 mins drive from beach.

We need helpers for general farm work- chainsaw and weed whacker experience is a bonus.

Our horses are experienced competitors in Endurance and other deciplines,so helpers must be very experienced in riding in open spaces at pace and on all terrain.

Does exploring the surrounding countryside on horse back and travelling with horses appeal?

The help we require involves day to day care of horses and riding out plus some gardening and farm work.

Accommodation is a private self contained sleepout suitable for couples, your own vehicle is essential as we are out of town.

This is our busiest time of year so if you are keen we have plenty to keep you occupied and would love to hear from you.

We are a remote beautiful large high country Sheep and Beef station (farm) located in the North Canterbury region. Jim and I run the farm with two young male shepherds who live on the property full time. The Lakes Station is home to four large lakes with the Hurunui River running through the middle of the property, there are large areas of native bush, creating the opportunity for you to participate in plenty of outdoor activities in your free time, including hiking, kayaking and fishing.

If you were to stay here your accommodation is in a separate, self-contained unit attached to our farm quarters, which is situated right on the lake. The accommodation is equipped with a small kitchenette and lounge, a queen bed and a bathroom. You would be supplied with food for breakfast and lunch, which you would prepare in your kitchen and sharing an evening meal with our family and farm workers, which would be meat from our farm and vegetables from the large vegetable garden.
