We would like some help over the next couple of months tidying up the garden, mowing lawns, window cleaning and general odd jobs for about 4 hours a day.

We are approximately 6km from Arrowtown so having a car would be helpful. There is a walking/biking track close by if your happy to jump on a bike it is 30 minutes to Arrowtown. You would have your own room and a bathroom, wifi and meals provided.

There is just my husband, myself our dog Gus and a couple of sheep so it is reasonably quiet and very relaxed.

*must be a non-smoker

Big house in Queenstown with the best view!!

Save some money with free accommodation in this popular tourism town, stay close to the centre and to supermarkets and shops and have plenty of free time to explore.

Hi there, we are a young family who own a guesthouse that need some help doing some carpentry, landscaping and painting.

We are open to hosting any couple or single (keen to share the room with one more). We are looking for responsible, reliable people (not party please) and would be great if you have some construction experience, since we are doing an extension of the house.

In exchange for 3 hours help a day you will have accommodation in a large room in a sleepout with a double and a single bed. Food not included but you will have access to the kitchen to cook anything you want and some basics for preparing. Our house is a 5 minute drive to Queenstown, beach and supermarket.

Please send us some info about you and if you have experience in this kind of jobs... more inside

Our property is in Hawea Flat, 15kms out of Wanaka where we grow organic vegetables and live in a straw bale house. Karine has a pottery studio here too. You will need your own car if you want to move around independently.
We like outdoor activities: rock climbing, tramping, cycling, swimming, camping, skiing.
We ask for 4 hours of help per day. You get a combination of meals prepared for you (typically dinner) and food to prepare for yourself. How would you like to stay in your own tree house? It is cosy and comfortable, with breathtaking mountain views. We need a helper in the garden and around the house. Times can vary and be blocked together to give you and us the flexibility to have a day or weekend off.
Wanaka is a centre for outdoor and adventure activities and has spectacular landscape right at your doorstep: lake, mountains, rivers, forests, MTB trails etc.

Barn in the Country.

Dalefield / Shotover River

We have a small farm overlooking the Shotover River with a family of five, one horse, 2 chickens, dog, cat and a bunch of native trees planted.

We also manage a 60 hectare conservation area along the Shotover River.

The farm is 10 minutes out of Queenstown so your own transport is preferred although not essential.

Work is a mixture of odd outdoor jobs ... pruning / gardening / weeding / track maintenance 3 hours a day per person, around farm and home in return for rent. We do not include food but have chickens so there are eggs and a vegetable garden in summer

Typically our HelpX helpers stay for around 1 week.

Accommodation is in a self contained studio barn, well set up with stunning views, bathroom, laundry and WiFi. Lots of cool local walks and a pond you can swim in.

My name is Louise and I run an art gallery with a bar and kitchen. We host musical gigs every week & also Qigong classes on a weekly basis.... often catering for special events and parties. There is a garden where we hold outside musical events and over the Summer months there is always plenty to do....
Jobs could include dishes, bar work, barista, gardening, dog walking, chopping firewood, cleaning. The busiest days are Friday nights so working then is a must. Other days can be flexible depending on jobs or events and if you are around the gallery you will be fed. Bonnie does need a lot of attention every day.
My dog Bonnie, and I live just 10 minutes north on a farm which is truly beautiful and very quiet and rural. We enjoy the beauty and tranquility and hope that our visitors will too. We have a spacious caravan with double bed and sitting room space for our visitors. Shower and washing facilities are available in my place which is a converted woolshed.
