Looking for a fit couple to help with yard work (clearing) as well as house sanding and painting.

I am reclaiming my overgrown and very steep back yard, which was neglected until I purchased the property. We need help clearing the gorse and broom, and so we're hoping to find fit and strong people who don't mind physical work.

In exchange for 4 hours work daily (about 9am till 1pm) you'll have a comfortable room with a double bed, and I provide 3 nice home-cooked meals a day, with free wifi. We have a 9 year old son, so people who enjoy being around talkative kids is an absolute must! Ideally a 3/4 night stay would be a perfect duration.

Hoping to find a friendly couple with good common sense who are fit and physically strong.

This might be worth consideration for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful Deep South; Catlins, Bluff and/or Stewart Island, or those walking the Te Araroa "Cape to the Bluff" NZ walk, and are needing a warm safe Kiwi home with good food :)

We are a young couple who live on a small dairy farm right on the beach in Southern Southland. Both of us have done travelling before we came back to the family farm so are keen to host others in NZ!
We would love some help with any kinds of projects around our house and farm- this could be quite varied from cooking,to feeding calves, gardening/spraying to milking cows and splitting wood. If you have anything in particular skills you think might be useful!
We have a warm house, with plenty of food to share with you! We enjoy BBQ and beers in the summertime and having other friends around as well.
We would love to show you around our local area and farm. We spend a lot of time down at the beach (there is a small hut there you could stay the night at if you like) and enjoy diving for paua and fishing. In our local area there is heaps to explore- waterfalls, sea lions, the petrified forest, lighthouses etc. We have both travelled a lot throughout NZ so can share some of our favourit... more inside

Currently have help until early March thank you .

Hi!

We are a family of 3 with a home-based business looking for some help over the summer period.

We often get called away for work in the evenings/weekends and need someone here with our 3-year-old boy. He is a great natured boy, loves being outside riding his bike and going on adventures. Our son goes to preschool 40 hours a week, so, most days you may not have to care for him much at all, on these days there is cleaning and household chores to get done - it all depends on what happens when the phone rings!

We might need help to cook, do cleaning or help in general with the house chores. Our current helper cleans/ mows lawns /weeds gardens for about an hour or two a day (sometimes more) and does some extra babysitting.

We offer you a large room in central Te Anau including power (not excessive amounts) and wifi. We can include evening meals for extra work if you like.

We are open to discussing couples applicatio... more inside

We live very close (one of the closest houses) to Fiordland National Park. We are next to the start of the Kepler Track great walk, which you can start walking on from our land.

Our beautiful, rural organic small farm on 2 hectares provides amazing views of the Kepler mountains, lake Te Anau and the Murchison mountains, home to one of NZ's rarest birds, the takahe. It is a fantastic spot summer or winter.
In your afternoons, you can cycle a short distance to Te Anau township from our home, off track around the lake. We are also next door to an amazing off road cycle path down a Lord of the Rings river. We have bikes you can use. We have chickens, flowers, hammocks.

We are currently booking HelpX for 2018/2019, which is September onwards. However, if you are interested in winter Helpxing now, do drop us a line as we have some availability! Please note we only take one HelpX at a time and we do have facilities to take couples.

Hello,

I train race horses (gallopers) in Gore on a 200 acres property. I have my own track or usually we go to the racecourse into town. I do sheep farming as well.
We have a big house on the property where you will be using the facilities but you will have your own hut to sleep in. We live 5 minutes from Gore.
People with horse experience is a plus but the job would be in the stables every morning for few hours. Anyone is more than welcome, it's pretty easy going. You will have the rest of the day to go and explore arround, we are 1hour and 45 minutes drive from Queenstwon, a bit more than an hour from Te Anau, 45 minutes to Invercargill and 2hours from Dunedin. It's a pretty nice central location and you would have every sunday off. Mataura river is right there and supposed to be the fishing capital of New Zealand.
We don't mind smokers but this is a drug free place.
Feel free to contact us if you think that you would be keen to share a real local experience.

Cheers

We have a large house in the town of Gore within 5 minutes walk to town. Park-like surroundings. We are looking for helpers around the property e.g. lawns, garden and general maintenance etc. We also have 7 acres close to town where Donna keeps her horses so there is scope for working with the horses, and generally keeping the place tidy. Riding is possible. Access to an all-weather arena. Flexible arrangements to suit individual needs. We offer comfortable accommodation and friendly company should you desire that too. Wifi available so you can watch a movie, surf the net and keep in touch with your folks at home.
