We have a small place with a workshop/temple/mare where you can have self sufficient facilities or a caravan. Very good cooking by Antonia and mostly organic catering.

the place is only 10 min walk to a private white sandy sunny beach with no other access.

help needed with grounds looking after and light chores and gardening when needed.

there is a vast amount of knowledge we have accumulated in many fields and subjects and sharing it with our guests is the best use of the time spent here.

INTRODUCTION
I can sometimes use help around the place keeping it up and doing the garden. Sometimes friends are staying too or we are having meditation retreats or yoga classes. I have a small home orchard & veg garden, and have a lot of experience to share with interested people about sustainable building & living practices, landscaping, oxygen/ozone therapy benefits, use and device making, natural health, meditation and yoga.

We go to great lengths to make practical use of... more inside

Hello there. We are looking for some lovely friendly helpX and company.

We are new residents to Okains Bay, Banks Peninsula. We have travelled all over the world ourselves and would love to meet and exchange cultures with you all. We have had a few HelpX people to stay and feel it is such a wonderful, worthwhile exchange. We have previously hosted many people via Couchsurfing in Cambridge, England.

We have a tiny family (just the two of us) and really enjoy the company of others.

If you have any practical skills ie you are handy with gardening we are wanting to set up a vegetable garden and strawberry house from scratch. We have started (with the amazing help of HelpX helpers) to sand and seal the native timber floors. We love all DIY skills and we love initiative.

We have a lovely 11 year old boy in the house and he attends the local school (current school role has 10 children). I am studying UX design & Web development until the end of the year and so this would r... more inside

We require someone for a week or two to do basic housework and some gardening work. working alongside me.

We live in a beautiful old homestead and live on a sheep, cattle and deer farm in Little River, 30 minutes from Akaroa and 50 km from Christchurch.
We invite you to stay in our family home with Matt & myself (Sue) and two of our children Angus & Georgie (18,15). We need help in the garden (alot!!) and household chores.

We offer you your own room and welcome you to join us for homecooked meals. If you are a whizz in the kitchen, Sue doesn't mind a hand at all!!During your spare time we can offer a pool (in summer months), tv, or you can just join in with the family activities (never a dull moment!), or take some time to have a look around further afield on the Banks Peninsula.
The Akaroa Shuttle runs daily to/from Little River to Akaroa and Christchurch.

We farm beef and sheep about 25 minutes from Akaroa. We live down on a beach which has an abundance of wildlife, beach safe for swimming, surfing, fishing etc. We periodically require people to help on the farm, duties vary depending on time of year and what we are doing ourselves. Accomodation is in the main house in a family atmosphere with own bedroom provided or a separate sleep out. We look forward to meeting new and interesting people from throughout the world. Flick us an e mail if your interested or telephone. LOOKING FOR HELPER/S NOW FOR FARM WORK AND various other jobs. Lambing and calving at the moment and needing help around the place. Energetic and enthusiastic helpers needed that donít mind getting hands dirty.

We live on a cattle farm on Banks Peninsula, 16 minutes away from Akaroa -80kms from Christchurch. We only get Vodafone mobile coverage here because of the hilly terraine. We are 10 minutes from beautiful Okains Bays beach and 5 minutes to the Okains Bay Maori and Colonial Museum and store.

We have two working dogs and Monty the cat. I am a Bach Foundation Practitioner and retired nurse.
My eldest daughter, son-in-law and 10 three grandchildren live close by in Lavericks Bay and we often share our workers. Another daughter lives in Darwin, Australia and the third is living and working in Christchurch.

We provide good accommodation and food in exchange for 4 hours work per day. Many helpers have stayed with us over the last thirty years.

In February 2011 we moved here after 35 years in Lavericks Bay. We have moved into a house which is 142 years old and have worked hard at doing it up, we now have have it how we want it!
Clearing bush is our current project and if ... more inside

We would love some help with the many jobs there are to do around the house and garden. The house is on 1 acre of land and now there is a new 4 hectare block of land we are developing adjacent to it. It is not a farm stay although we do have chickens and bees and plenty of birds! This is a steep property on a beautiful site, with a large house in the sun (mostly). It is 20 minutes walking distance from Akaroa. There are many great walks in the area and we are in the heart of many great hiking tracks.

We appreciate the help with the many jobs there are to do. There is always help needed especially when it comes to weed eating (grass cutting) work and gardening. At the moment we are doing some indoor painting as well.

Hollie works full time and Ad works mostly on the land. We prefer 2 helpers (a couple or 2 handy friends) at once who can work together or people who don't mind working on their own. Also people who are happy to cook for themselves too, as we have irregular eati... more inside
