We are a small family farm, currently milking 300 sheep once a day. My daughter, husband and I operate the farm, plus a burgeoning soap business using our sheep milk. We have had people stay and help before and enjoy different nationalities. We speak only English (sorry). We are seeking helpers willing to tame our garden, destroy our thistles, give the hedges a good haircut, help with cooking the evening meal, help out with the sheep if necessary, hose down after milking, box up soap orders and if you have the skills there is always fencing jobs and repairs to be done. Offering accommodation and food in exchange for 3 hours work per day, or a full day followed by days off.
We don't have a landline so you will need your own phone. We prefer that when working you do not have your phone on you - they are very hard to find in a paddock of long grass when lost. We have WiFi but it is not unlimited so we ask that you don't go watching movies over it. We have a tv in the lounge that you ... more inside

**sorry we are not taking helpx at this time**

Hi there,

We are a family of 4 living in our home nestled in the quaint valley of Heathcote in Christchurch. Our two boys, Ethan & Baxter are age 5 & 7. We also have a dog, Stella. Our home is new with 5 bedrooms, modern kitchen & great views. We live right on a bus stop that takes you in to town. We live 15min walk to the Christchurch Gondola & the beautiful, historic Bridal Path walk, as well as in the middle of lots of other amazing walking & Mountain Biking tracks on the Port Hills, and the beaches of Sumner & Taylors Mistake (great surfing & SUP). There are lots of great markets on near us in the weekends. Jeremy & I both come from Christchurch so can advise on you where you might like to travel to next! I have also lived overseas (Japan & London) so I know what it feels like to live far from family. I also work with international students. Our family loves cooking, eating, being at home & working in the garden, going on walk... more inside

Needing help with a wide variety of things from gardening to holding a camera. I would love to pull a few things apart before doing repairs related to the earthquake. 2 hours per day each for a night's stay.

Have a double bed available so if 2 people would need to be a couple. This is a Vegan household so I would expect people to be plant-based in the house. My name is Rose and there are some cats that kinda live here too

I'm 10 minutes walk to northlands mall, live by the cycleway and not far from the bus routes

We are a small farm in BURNHAM which is an area around 20 km south of Christchurch.

The area is flat farm land with spectacular views of the mountains.

We have many kinds of farm and domestic animals and breed miniature horses. There are also large horses that can to be ridden (but not by beginners, sorry).

You must like horses, as you could be dealing with them daily. We want helpers to help for 4 hours per day each. At this time of the year we would like helpers to work in the garden and do other "odd jobs" around the farm. (Riding horses isn't work-Derek)

The accommodation is a comfortable cabin separate from the main house. You would be expected to be a part of our household so helping with house hold tasks could be expected. We have Wifi. We are not vegetarians but if you are that's okay.

If you don't have a vehicle there is a public bus system 3km from our gate that will take you into Christchurch.

You are more then welcome to visit, but we do like to have h... more inside
