Ki Ora

This is a flat which is a 20 minute walk into the centre of Christchurch. It is in a block of flats, is across the road from a nice park and within 500m of a chemist, dairy, post office etc and Sumner / City bus routes. It is about 2 km to Eastgate mall one way and Moorhouse Ave supermarkets the other.

My son Quinn lives in the flat and he works part time. He likes writing, Magic the Gathering, music etc. He will be your host and while quiet, he enjoys some company. He has lived overseas in Vietnam and Cambodia and retains some french language.

The spare room is a large room which gets the afternoon sun opening onto a first storied deck. There is a queen size bed and a tv in the room. There is fibre broad band.

We are offering accomodation and use of facilities and if we are around family meals at my home around the corner. I have 4 younger children who are amost 13 (twins), 7 and 5. They love visitors ! I am an early childhood teacher and work fulltime.

*** There is currently a vacancy. ***

As spring time approaches there are many outdoor garden jobs for helpers. I'm looking for someone to do some gardening, childcare and a few household jobs. I'm also keen to get someone apply stain to my deck. It is even better if you are also interested in children.

Are you bubbly, enthusiastic, positive, honest, hardworking and willing? Are you organised and fun? You could be the perfect person to stay with our family!

I have four gorgeous children from the ages of 7-12 years. The children are usually with me from Monday to Friday and every second weekend, the rest of the time they are with their Dad. The children love the cultural and social experience gained from having helpers stay. The children are into sport, adventure and music.

We have a five bedroom house. We have a bunk bed in our Rumpus Room for helpers to use. The Rumpus Room is a shared space a bit like a playroom. When we have helpers staying the children know to... more inside

This is your last opportunity to stay in a 100 year old home with stunning views of Akaroa Harbour. During the summer it operates as an AirBnB. I am trying to rejuvenate a seriously overgrown garden as well as tidy up the outside of the house. Gardening and/or painting experience would be an advantage. Dates available are weekdays only in November & early December

Ideal stay would be 3-4 nights (mid-week only) and you would have a private bedroom & bathroom, WIFI, TV, Hot Tub, plus use of the kitchen. Supply your own food.

3 hours work per day will give you plenty of time to explore Akaroa - hiking, kayaking, SUP or swimming with dolphins!
Own transport an advantage but I can drive you there from Christchurch if necessary.

Urban Stay in a quiet, convenient location in Christchurch - not far from the airport and easy walking distance from Upper Riccarton shopping centre.

Tasks: Housework, food preparation & simple garden maintenance. Alternatively we sometimes need some office administration or graphic design.

I am Robert. I have always liked travel and learning about how different cultures approach the challenges of life. We need reliable help, and we do our best for helpers. When we have sincere helpers we lend them a bicycle, or take them to group activities if they are interested in similar activities: e.g. mindfulness meditation, sightseeing walks, live latin music.

I've had several years of experience of hosting. Now we just start again after a break of over a year when it was needed. I learned that giving full and clear information to you at the start is important so you can think it over realistically. For any sincere helper this informative approach is useful for considering the... more inside
