** Winters here in the Northern Rivers are mild. The temperature today (20 May 2018) is going to hit 23 degrees. This is a perfect time to be working outside. Big blue skies, cool to warm temperatures but not hot. Nights are cosy and cool.

Steve and I offer a very high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Larnook the more you will get out of it.

Our property is situated at the foothills of the Billen Cliffs at beautiful Larnook, 30kms north west of Lismore and 20 mins away from Kyogle and Nimbin. We (Kev and Steve - we are a gay couple) have all kinds of work including weeding, mulching, watering plants, weed removal, creek revegetation, painting and planting.

We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looking at websites, Skpe, Netflix), TV, dvd collection etc. Accom... more inside

With fencing and building we also need help. We have composting, vegetable garden and fruit trees. When it rains we need help with our grain farming. We have 2 rooms with toilet and shower for accommodation. Meat based diet. Prefer 2 week stay or longer. We need help with computer work as well.

We run a rustic cafe in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, renowned for its awesome natural beauty. We serve people from every corner of the globe. It`s not just the rustic interior and simple, delicious menu that makes it an interesting place to be, but behind the cafe is a community life together, where families and single people are living together, working together, sharing a life together.

Our cafe is a busy cafe, so we are always glad to have people come to help us. We have a preparation kitchen, where lots of fresh vegetable preps, cakes, soups, etc. are prepared, that you could join in with. We also have a small bakery, which you could help and learn a bit of baking. Of course, there are always lots of dishes. Everything we do, we do together. So you can make new friends along the way.

We would be pleased to host you while you`re here in the Mountains, and hope that you`d be able to experience a little taste of our wonderful life as you work and live alongside us.... more inside
