We are a small organic veggie farm, producing a range of veggies on 1000m2 and supplying the local community via the farm gate, farmers market, and local box scheme.

We need occasional help through the busy spring-summer-autumn period especially, jobs will include day to day weeding and picking.

You will have a self-contained accommodation, with a solar camp shower, composting toilet, and outdoor camp kitchen. You have a small shack with two indoor rooms which have fly-screen, and are clean and tidy. The rooms are no-shoes and no-smoking. There is a nice double bed waiting for you, with nice fresh sheets. The shack is set beside a billabong (where you can swim when it gets hot), amongst tall gum trees. It is a very private space, nestled in the back of the property.

We have sheep on the property, and a visiting dog (Charlie, who comes from Mum's place up the road). Otherwise there is only the wildlife so far (chooks to come in the new year).

We are looking for help in our sled dog kennel. We live in the middle of Gippsland, close to the 90 mile beach. The closest town (Sale) is a 20 minutes drive away.

We have 71 dogs (85% of them rescues), some chooks, a few sheep, and Toby and Chancy, the miniature ponies (plus some wandering koalas, kangaroos, and possums).
We are looking for help in caring for our animals and helping maintain and renovate our farm. We are looking for people interested in coming for a minimum of three weeks, as some of our rescues need time to get used to new faces.

The kind of jobs depend on the season, from the fun time of year when all our huskies are blowing their coats and need bathing and grooming, to the quieter June-August when most of the dogs are up the mountains running, and the farm needs painting, fencing, and general looking after.

We organise the week for the helpers with some set hours of work and days off, so you know in advance when you have free time to go around and exp... more inside

**** Updated 22 January 2019****

Looking for a new helpXer to host from 4 February

I`m a single mum with 7 y.o. twins and I`m looking for somebody to help me around the house and yard and occasionally with the kids.

Some of the jobs include helping feed and look after the animals, getting the existing veggie garden ready for planting and mowing the lawn (with the ride on mower).

I'd also love some help cooking - don't worry if you don't have heaps of experience, I have recipes and it's pretty simple things.

We live 50 minutes from Melbourne city by train just outside of town and close to the station (17 minutes walk or you can borrow a bike) so you can easily access the city.

We are on 2 acres and we are regularly visited by kangaroos in the front yard or back paddock. We also have 2 Jack Russells, 10 hens and a rabbit so looking for somebody who loves all kinds of animals.

4-5 hours per day in exchange for full board (including all meals).

I look forward... more inside

Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better. We're looking for people who can start from now onwards.

Projects for this Summer include renovating our timber veranda, building some wicking beds for the vegetable garden, getting bird nets ready for the fruit orchard and building a fancy-fairytale chook (chicken) shed that would fascinate kids.

There may also be other work:
getting our berry patch ready, composting, mulching, chainsawing of storm fallen trees & limbs, weed & grass control, mowing, pruning, planting seedlings, fixing garden beds and irrigation systems, netting of fruit trees, net repair, tidying up the property, firewood, cooking.

Our house is on top of a ridgeline in rolling granite hill country with great views. Our western red cedar home has a wide veranda on 3 sides; we eat many of our meals outside here absorbing the scenery or occasionally just relax with a book in the hammocks.

We are looking for someone to help out in a nanny/ au pair / housekeeping role. We would prefer to meet you before we commit to a long term stay, just to make sure we are all a good fit for each other :-)

We live in Clifton Hill , Melbourne, which is a great inner city suburb just 10 minutes train trip or 15/20minute bike ride in to the city. Our house is close to public transport, the Yarra River and Merri Creek, with lots of parks, walking trails and great cafes nearby.

We are a fairly easy going family who love being out and about - bike riding, kayaking, going to the beach etc etc. We often go away for the weekend, and you would be welcome to join us to explore beautiful places around Victoria.
