Some activities on our property include bush walking, bike riding, swimming, blacksmithing and archery.

hello, I have a a small permaculture property in Koonwarra, near Inverloch, South Gippsland. I live in a bush environment near the coast. The wild life and bird life are superb. I have vegie gardens, about fifty fruit trees, a hot house, all needing some help. I also need carpentry help to renovate a food storage shed, wood splitting and house maintenance. Until recently, I was highly involved with farmers' markets as a stall holder, using as much of my own produce as possible, so my place became a little neglected. I follow organic principles. My owner built house is tiny but gorgeous. Your accommodation would be in a separate, very private and equally lovely bungalow with delightful views. The bathroom is shared but the access is easy and private. There is NBN internet access. Your own car would be invaluable but not essential. I would prefer older helpers. Excellent food is imperative to me. l love vegetarian cooking, and am able to accommodate any dietary requirements. In return... more inside

We are surrounded by kangaroos, echidnas and kookaburras and ringtail possums. Ten minute drive to the train station . We are also near some beautiful swimming spots and you can use one of our cars if you like . We are all really relaxed and definitely not strict about hours with help we want you to enjoy your stay there is a spare room or a loft that is also a lovely space to sleep with the coonara fire underneath. Quite often my people have come on jobs with me to give them a different perspective of work life in Australia and those experiences have been invaluable as the work is very interesting at times.

Come and experience Victoria’s largest Island: FRENCH ISLAND, only 1 hour from Melbourne and has the healthiest population of KOALAS in the world, fantastic natural landscapes, and breathtaking sea-views & only a very short walk to the beach, fantastic bush walks.

We are looking to find someone or a couple to help with the day to day cleaning and general help around the house and other small but interesting jobs.

We have a beautiful home here on French Island with fantastic living conditions, in return for your help, I can supply accommodation (your own room overlooking the sea) with absolutely stunning views, all your meals, plenty of fresh country air.

We have a small, rural property in the foothills of the Strathbogies [15 minutes to Yea and 25 minutes to Seymour].

We need help to complete a masonary retaining wall, external stairs or ramp, gardening and landscaping. We are interested in Permaculture and have planted a small vineyard and orchard, and we are just about to set up our wicking garden beds for veggies. You might like to help us do that :-)

Our renovations have reached the stage where we can offer decent accommodation and food in return for 4 hours of work a day. We prefer non-smokers and definitely no smoking inside.
Mobile phone reception is sometimes patchy, but okay outside. We can't cater for special diets (unless you cook it yourself), and can't take pets as we have two dogs - our two gorgeous girls - a border collie (Bella) and Kelpie (Cocoa ... or "that red dog" as Bella refers to her!).

We'd be happy to introduce you to people in the area and there is plenty to see and do in the area - wineries, ... more inside

Hello travelers, welcome to Australia.

I am a friendly, relaxed, woman in my 50’s, with no children, just pets, an old dog Jasper, a llama and occasionally some neighbours cows (sometimes we are visited by the local kangaroos, koalas or echidnas.) Non-smoker, I maintain a smoke free home, but have an undercover BBQ area where friends can go to smoke if necessary. My late husband and I traveled extensively around Australia and overseas, loved meeting new people, experiencing different cultures and sharing this fantastic country with others.

*** Ideally I am looking for couples or two friends traveling together.***

*** I have been absent from Helpx for a while during my husband John`s illness but am open to enquiries from helpers again now. ***

Our 12 hectare property is in Yendon, near Ballarat and comprises of 2 hectares of gum trees, 8 hectares of paddocks and 2 hectares around the house including the house garden, orchard and vegetable garden. We are surrounded by a m... more inside
