We have a beautiful 80 acre farm on the banks of a lovely river. We are currently focusing on moving from ‘self-sufficient’ to hopefully making the farm into more of a business (while also maintaining our organic, regenerative ethics). We have a big vegetable garden, fruit trees and an amazing river that is good for swimming (no crocs). We are in the beginning of adding a 5 acre syntropic orchard, a small perennial market garden focusing on flowers, a commercial greenhouse and a small cash-crop of vanilla. If these projects interest you, please get in touch!

Our daughters are 3.5years old, and 20 months old. They are lovely, grounded girls, however combining two kids with a busy farm and animals is sometimes chaos! Marc’s dad lives in a converted barn on the farm, and speaks German (and English). We have several dairy goats, a small herd of dairy/miniature beef cattle, 3 untrained horses, 4 dogs, and chickens, ducks and geese.

We are looking for people to help with the day-t... more inside

The farm is situated in Mount Mee, Queensland, which is very hilly and beautiful.

It is about 15 minutes drive from the nearest village, Wamuran, and 25 minutes to the nearest town: Caboolture. Brisbane is 60 minutes by train from Caboolture. I am about 60 min from the Sunshine Coast and the airport and about 90 minutes from the Gold Coast.

It is a farmstay that includes a variety of animals: a small herd of cows, a few camels, alpacas, horses, guinea fowl, dogs of course and a cat.

I am looking for help with general maintenance: gardening: mowing, weeding, etc. If possible, fence repairs and painting, Also, day-to-day tasks in and around the homestead: cleaning, cooking, etc. I prefer helpers to be over 25, willing and capable of turning their hand to any tasks required of them.

In return, I provide good meals, comfortable accommodation and transport to and from the nearest railway station if required.

Our property, known as Pomona Springs is set in the tranquil rain forest countryside known as Pomona. We are nestled only 20 minutes from Noosa and the wonderful beaches with some of the best views, walking tracks, and mountains to climb in the region . Our property is a relaxed environment with various activities that requires daily/weekly attention. From feeding the geese and horses each day to gardening and pruning and maybe a swim after a days work.
We do not have any children to look after! Ideally we would prefer people with travelling partners (Friends or couples, ) as we feel that they are better suited to our type of place and keep each other company.(We would also like that at least one can understand and speak some basic English). Please note, email us your HelpX details before calling.
But lets not forget our motto:
Eat when you are Hungry,
Sleep when you are tired and
Drink when you are thirsty!
We hope to hear from you soon !

Gday Funseekers! Easy-goin Fun-luvin Canadian dude seeks like-minded to share in mountain biking, walking, 4x4, flying (small aircraft lands on beach!), boating or kayaking adventures at Fraser Island, Utopia (mountain rock pools- see photos), Great Sandy Straits (whale watching, boating, fishing) and surrounds. I`ve worked as a Ranger-guide on Fraser for many years with Kingfisher with extensive experience touring there (you can`t bike everywhere as 4x4 tracks too soft to ride - continuously torn up by 4x4s). We are in no rush in our fun-seeking and the tour is fantastic! Far better than 4x4 coaches I drove there! I love the island & surrounding area & would love to share it with you! Come enjoy it as mother nature intended with environmentally sensitive biking, hiking, fishing, or boating (wakeboarding, skiing, tubing, crabbing, spear fishing) tours to suit. Or if ya don`t have much time, I can be convinced into piling into one of my 4x4 vans (seats 8).

I have 6 extra bikes (c... more inside

We are a family of 5 who live in 'The Creek House' on a scenic rural property with three other houses, and we're hoping to become a small homeschooling community, although we are not there yet. Our kids are 4, 3 and 1. Some of our interests are: growing food, native bush regeneration, learning to home educate our children, aware parenting, and self development.

We also have a second property just on the NSW side of the border, where we sometimes host volunteers also. The projects there are similar and it's also a lovely, rural property. As the QLD border is closed, if you are coming from NSW, sometimes people help us at the NSW house first, if it's needed, and then we can help you cross into QLD.

We regularly host volunteers who help us with household help, child care, gardening, watering, tree planting, maintenance, and lots of other projects. If you have marketing skills, we'd also be interested to see if you could help us develop a local market for our native fruit jam.
