Residential bush block in the Adelaide hills. Located on a Stringybark-gum hillside adjoining indigenous plant property.
Modern eco-friendly house with large windows overlooking bushland. Kangaroos, koalas, and Australian birds are constant visitors.
Public transport is irregular from my house, so it is preferable to have your own car. There is one double bed available for helpers.

Help is required to gather and chop fallen timber for firewood, general house cleaning, weeding feral plants, other gardening, and some house maintenance.
I prefer to reduce work hours in exchange for doing the cooking. Food can be supplied. A beautiful bedroom overlooking the bush. Shared bathroom.
One week occupancy.

My wife Sally, our 25 year old son Adam and I are down to earth friendly Aussies, have lived here for 27 years and still haven't got around to finishing off our planned organic vegetable garden. We operate our small engineering/automotive repair business from home which keeps us busy, hence the need for additional help at our home on 35 hectares. Our place is in a small country town of Cambrai with a population of 85 people, approximately 90 minutes drive from Adelaide in South Australia. We have good mobile phone coverage, cable TV, and good internet access. We are 35 kms from the Murray River and 40 kms from the Barossa Valley which is a large wine making area producing world class wines. Cambrai has a general store/post office, 1 hotel, a primary school with a library, local council offices, plus a community swimming pool which is open during the summer months. We offer modern comfortable accommodation in our home with 3 good meals a day in exchange for about 5 hours help per day... more inside

Kangaroo Island has been my home since 1973 and now includes Tina and daughter Anne. This farm, bought in July 2010 is my 3rd farming venture.Originally a productive mixed farm, it then became a pine plantation for 30yrs during which time the infrastructure fell into disrepair. It is our aim to rehabilitate the land for animal grazing and to develope a small tourist accomodation business.
In exchange for meals and in house accom, helpers would be required to work 4hours per day average, in duties (not limited to) tree planting, gardening, fence and rubbish removal, painting, building and renovation.Helpers need to be able to cope with physical but not back breaking activities .
In your time ,this place offers you the opportunity to explore some of the best, rural inland K.Is has to offer. Many winter streams feed into the permenant Cygnet River where maron and small fish live.`Roos, wallaby, echidina, goanna, koala, kookaburra, curlew, glossy black cockatoo to pardalote and many... more inside
