We have two properties that might be available. One is in Safety Bay near Penguin Island and the other is in Fremantle. Feel free to enquire as to which might be available.
With both properties, we do not provide meals but they have shopping nearby. It's a good idea to bring some basics foods if you arrive at night.
The property in Fremantle is a lovely cottage. It is located within walking distance of Fremantle centre near markets, grocery stores and public transport (bus at front door!) as well as a local coffee strip. It's a fully self-contained cottage with kitchen and bathroom. There's a separate bedroom upstairs and another bed downstairs. It may be that you might share with another helpers (couples get priority in upstairs bedroom). The helping exchange arrangement would be about 10 hours a week helping with repairs, landscaping and painting etc. It is on Wray Avenue, if you want to check location
The other option is near Penguin island. Here you'd have your own privacy d... more inside

We live on a very peaceful property (about 2 acres, surrounded by 3000 undeveloped acres) in Coolup, which is about 30 minutes from Mandurah. We are a family consisting of 1 adult, 2 children (aged 11 and 13). We live an alternative life which involves growing spray free veg and home schooling. We do not have television, however wireless internet is available. Our lives revolve around creativity, music (we are all musicians), cooking, learning and spending time as a family. We like to discuss topics of a spiritual nature and work on our individual roles of raising the global consciousness. I run Women's Circles and Community Drum Circles which you can participate in. Duties will involve cooking, cleaning, gardening, and hanging out with the kids. This will amount to approx 4 hours per day with some days being less and some days being more. Our lives are very flexible, which will allow for plenty of free time, which you are welcome to spend as part of the family. We are not a busines... more inside

We have a small 4 acre property (not a farm) between town and the beach, we balance professional jobs with a rural family lifestyle close to the bush and river. We keep a few sheep and have a couple of small dogs too. There are also native animals to see and lots of birdlife around us too. We have built a house and have been planting and landscaping the property. This is a homestay in a family environment, therefore we welcome enquires from NON-SMOKERS ONLY.

We are always busy here and what you will be asked to do will depend on the weather, time of year, and the projects that are currently going on at the time. The work can often be physical and dirty for example, general maintenance, landscaping, planting, garden maintenance, including weeding, digging and watering, mulching, housework and ironing. We don`t ask anything of helpxers that we wouldn't be prepared to do ourselves.

It is essential for your own safety that you understand English and are willing and able to follow... more inside

Our Pearling Base, on the shores of Beagle Bay, is 120kms north of Broome (approx 2.5hrs on unsealed road in 4wd vehicle) on the Dampier Peninsula. It is very hot Nov-Mar (our wet season) & very quiet during these months, but we’re still hosting helpers. Our dry season is often called ‘tourist season’ because the weather is warm & sunny every day in the northwest, during Australia’s winter months.

In exchange for 5-6 hours work per day (often you will work independently), you will be provided with a rare and remote place to stay for a while, healthy food - mostly freshly caught fish (catching the fish & cooking the fish are shared experiences), single or double room with ocean or garden view (linen, fridge in the room), shared bathroom facilities & possibly sightseeing, fishing and freediving opportunities by boat - or onshore, & you can use our fishing rods and throw a line in and try your luck.

All cooking, cleaning & other domestic duties are jobs shared by all. We've hoste... more inside

Inviting two helpers the middle of December If Usually we have a helper between one and two weeks, not longer. We can't plan a long time ahead.

We have a beautiful Federation Style house in Cottesloe , best beach suburb in Perth and only a walk away from the beach., Even though we have a small property we grow much of our own vegetables and live as ecologically as possible. We are very close to public transport (train station and bus) going to Perth City and Fremantle. We offer 3 healthy (mostly vegetarian) meals. We occasionally also eat meat and fish. You will have a nice room to stay in with a very comfortable bed.We have a camper van that we travel with often and can give you many tips where to go.We are young at heart and enjoy good conversations. We are health conscious and love good food.
In exchange we ask you to help us around 4 hours a day, however it is not hard work. We have a good work ethic and ask the same of our helpers.

UPDATED 21/09/18

Come and stay with us at this very special place. It's within walking distance of Hamelin Bay. It's right beside a tall forest National Park with loads of walking and mountain bike trails ..., and it's the closest private property to the surf break at beautiful Boranup Beach(also an easy walk). But wait, there's more..., with a stream flowing right through the middle of this land, it's a sanctuary and many native animals live here safely. We also have a large vegetable garden and orchard and we need helping hands right now - for weeding, picking up sticks, mowing down weeds/grass and raking the fire breaks.

As the days grow longer and warmer...., Spring is really starting to 'unwind', showing it's true colours and beauty. It's a very special time of the year in the South West...., and because we are so close to the S/W corner of Australia, all of Southern Australia's weather crosses this stretch of coast first..., after spinning up from around Antarctic... more inside

Hello, I have a hobby farm five minutes from the sea side twin towns of Dongara and Port Denison, which is 350klm north of Perth and 60 km south of Geraldton. Dongara is a quiet fishing/farming town and one of the best kept secrets on the west coast. On the farm I have a dog, chickens, ducks, horses, sheep, pigs, goats and a few cows.

I`m looking for people to help out around the farm with experience in house sitting, permaculture, gardening cooking and cleaning. In exchange I`ll provide meals and accommodation.

When not working there are many lovely spots in the local area to pass the time. With 180 acres of land there is plenty of space for quiet walks or a bicycle ride to town with the beach and the river close by,surfing, snorkelling, kayaking, kite surfing, swimming or fishing is possible.

The farmhouse is spacious with a cool covered veranda area with bbq, hammocks and comfortable chairs to relax in for the evenings.

If you would like to see a beau... more inside
