Hello from Darwin. We are a couple living in Rapid Creek. Megan is a music teacher and Ajis is a carpenter/builder. We have an air conditioned bungalow available in our tropical garden and a room inside our house with an outside kitchen and private entrance. There is a lot of wild life here including monitors and many birds as well as our old cat and chickens. We would like to exchange accommodation and food for help with some projects we have. At the moment we need help with cleaning inside and outside our house and gardening/landscaping. Cooking is always appreciated. We love music and cooking and we have a piano which you can play. Ajis is from Indonesia so recent travelers to Indonesia are very welcome. We are close to the beach, markets and have a bus stop outside our door. We have a cool spa, bikes and a fridge for your use.

Hi, we are a female couple with a young daughter living in Darwin.
We'd like to host a non-smoking couple in our home to help us do some weeding, planting, possibly help us build an outdoor cat run and to prepare evening meals. Some house cleaning would also be appreciated.
Ideally you'll work around 3-4 hours a day which we can split into early morning and late afternoon so you avoid the hottest parts of the day.

Your accommodation: We have a room with a double bed in our lovely tropical house and access to our pool.
We love good food, music, board games and stories so if you're interested in these things, enjoy gardening, cooking and eating good food; are comfortable around a chatty 11 year old child; 4 inquisitive chickens & 1 shy cat & a naughty teenager puppy you'll fit in well.

We have a separate outdoor kitchen, dining and sitting area downstairs which you can use when we need some family time. Our living area upstairs is not large so the downstairs area is perf... more inside

Hi there! We're Jacqui and Mike, a family with two small kids and a couple of friendly dogs who live on a remote 150 Ha wilderness block in the upper hills of the Adelaide River, called Wrigley Creek. We both work part time, and at home we are working to conserve and restore the high quality ecological values of this block.

We currently want help restoring our native ecosystems, a mix of savanna woodlands and monsoonal forest. This is best done by hand-pulling weeds and encouraging regrowth of native species by spreading native seeds. With rapid wet season plant growth, it is the best time to get out on country and affect change.

Our living areas are surrounded by tropical permaculture food gardens and a dam with waterslide access, plunge pool and Wrigley Creek, which flows most of the year with numerous crocodile-free swimming holes. The bush offers views of the valleys, hills and escarpments.

Our home is about 1hr 45 minutes south of Darwin and about 30km south of Adel... more inside

This is a rural block with some cattle and a horse and a few fruit trees. It lies astride the Finniss River on the way to Litchfield Park and it is just 5km from the park boundary, 14km from Batchelor and just over 100km from Darwin. There is a caravan park next door, where you can by drinks and takeaway food if needed.

We are looking for motivated people who are travelling around Australia and interested in sharing our home for short stays of about a week during the wet season.. Jobs might include weeding, watering, fencing, painting and general cleaning inside and outside. Accommodation and food is provided in return for about 4 hours work per day.

2 things if you want to come here:

1.You need your own car to get here. Litchfield Park is only 5 kilometres away so there is plenty to see when you are not working.

2. You will also need your own travel insurance.

The photos are of our block. Come and enjoy!
