Next vacancy; NOW.
Only open to people who have some experience with horses.
Most of the reviews below are from when I lived at Withy Cottage. Since July 2018, I've been at Manor Farm. Different environment, same me!
Always fun to be had....

I am a semi retired teacher with a love of the countryside, my animals, wildlife, cycling, art, music and dancing. I have a small grassland holding for my 4 horses. I live in a very tiny cottage, deep in the Lincolnshire countryside; ten minutes' drive from Horncastle and Spilsby, small market towns, and 30 miles from Lincoln, a beautiful historic city. There are buses to these towns, but it's a very long walk to the bus stop. ((We really are very rural). Our nearest train station is in Boston, which can be reached via either Grantham, Lincoln or Peterborough from most towns with nearby airports.
Help needed with grassland management, horse care and gardening, domestic and DIY tasks in exchange for accommodation and meals.

We are passionate about remaining in the EU with our European friends and neighbours!
Devon - general help with garden, clearing ground, weeding, firewood, fencing., a little help in the house with cleaning etc.

We would love to meet someone who is able to help us with mostly outside jobs. Some of the work is quite hard so you must be strong and fit, and willing to work in all weathers! Also routine jobs like feeding / cleaning out hens, weeding and tidying.

We are musicians (traditional/folk) living in the South Hams of Devon - an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are self employed in musical instrument repairs and always in need of more time for our business - the reason we need some help. We live in an old cottage in a village with a bakery and a pub.

We are looking for someone to help who is strong and able and thoroughly practical.

We have 2 dogs - a terrier and a large white Shepherd (both rescued), a Lusitano horse and 10 hens!

Hey guys!

** 3 spots to start immediately **

We are a fun, friendly hostel in Kyleakin at the base of the Isle of Skye. The hostel is open all year round and we are always in need of helping hands to keep the place clean, tidy and welcoming for our guests. Skye entices many different travellers, and we have the opportunity to enjoy their company and make their accommodation a great part of their adventure.

So what's the deal?
We are looking for volunteers to join our team up on the beautiful Isle of Skye. We ask that you help us for 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. In return you will receive free shared accommodation, free breakfast, free laundry and 5 per day for food (check with us, this isn't available year-round). You also have one day off per week which is yours to go and explore the island.

Our hostel has two houses which accommodate both independent travellers and people on tours of the island. Although we are busiest in summer (full every night!) we have gues... more inside

Hi. Thanks for looking at our profile.

We are currently looking for help working round the garden and with log processing (with a machine)and stacking.

This is what we are about in a nutshell:

We are about nourishing mind, body & soil. Our lodge is a secluded, easily accessible guest house and retreat space offering bed and breakfast and group space with stunning views of the Scottish countryside in the Kingdom of Fife. It is a place where guests can just "be".

You will be supporting us in making the above guest experience possible.

We value authenticity, integrity, honesty and self-awareness.

We have put together this outline as a result of our hosting experience so far. We find that it helps to clarify what is on offer at Cherry Tree Lodge and what is expected of someone who comes to support what we offer. Expectations have a greater chance of being met for both parties which can lead to a more all-round, fulfilling experience.

We are looking for people who ... more inside

We live on a 27 acre smallholding in south west Wales. We have been here since January 2019. The farm was neglected for almost 40 years so we have a huge amount of infrastructure work to do. Although we weren't really ready for animals - no livestock fencing!! - in our enthusiasm, we went ahead and got some.... 10 goats, 15 chickens, 2 cockerels, 2 pigs and we already had 2 ponies. Our intentions are to become as self sustaining as possible, producing our own milk, cheese, eggs, meat, wool, fibre. The work we are currently focusing on is fencing, gates, re-establishing the polytunnel, tree cutting (and, later, re-planting) for timber, firewood and woodchip (for animal bedding). We also need to put a new roof on the barn, build field shelters for the horses and goats, build new barns to accommodate animals in winter and store hay/feeds and restore a derelict cottage.... the list goes on and on! We also want to create some man made beauty around the place.

We would love help with a... more inside

We are a 2.5 acre smallholding by the sea near Bunessan on the Isle of Mull.

The property has been long neglected and we are currently restoring gardens and stone barns. Help is needed mostly gardening, landscaping and building. Work is mostly outside and can often be muddy.
Our aim is to create organic vegetables and dye gardens and a weaving and textile studio in the barn.
Accommodation is a single room in the house with the family. We are a family of three, Simon, Monica and our son who is 12.
Helpers are welcome for 1-2 weeks.
The land has a small tidal harbour good for swimming, fishing ,kayaks and small boats. There is a bicycle for use and it is 2 miles to the bus stop and shop. Great local walking and beaches, close to lona for day trips. Various old kayaks for use in the harbour.
This is a non smoking and meat eating household but vegetarians are also welcome.
We would like 4 hours help each day and are happy to be flexible.

Hi, My name is Andy and I have been hosting people for many years now.
I appreciate spending my time with people like me who want to learn more about this strange and wonderful planet we all occupy. I get on with people who care about others and want to learn more about themselves. I have learnt a lot from my time hosting people and this journey continues.

Whether you are an introvert, extrovert or an inbetweener like me :-) then I hope you will consider my offer and if you are unsure then we can always have an informal chat or call before any decision is made so all questions can be asked.

I am a well-educated person and believe that life is a continual learning experience, I like listening to the music of most genres, watching a good film and watching documentaries. I am interested in matters of environmental sustainability, current affairs, psychology, history, politics, philosophy and technology. I have a good sense of humour, I like to share a joke and tell a story. I l... more inside

We're a multi-generational household looking for someone helpful and relaxed to come and stay for a week or so. There's lots to get involved with including various garden projects, hanging out with a 1 year old, helping with some housework and potentially sharing permaculture-inspired design ideas for our beautiful but underused space.

In return for an average of 5 hours work a day (we can be flexible with how this is spread through the week) we can offer you your own room, meals together in the evening and all your food while you're in the house in a peaceful rural location with frequent trains to London half an hour's walk away (always happy to give you a lift into town if we're around).

Our house is friendly and warm and a bit of a mess and there are often people popping in and there's a barbecue and a firepit and we'll drink together and we eat meat and we have a mad cat - if all this sounds like your cup of tea get in touch :-) We have been 'helpers' ourselves during l... more inside
