We (my girlfriend, my daughter (1) and me) live in a pretty rural area, that is however not so far away from vienna (~40km) and the regional "capital" St. Pölten (~15km). We live on a small farm that provides us living here with fruits and vegetables (at least in summer). I do also have chicken and some sheep. I work as some kind of social worker and want to keep doing that - as I neighter aim to be a full time farmer, nor someone totally self sufficient but at the same time isolated from the rest of the world (="Aussteiger" in german)..

We have two small guestrooms and a bike you can borrow for the time of your stay. There won't be any fixed working hours, you can join me basically as much as you want, but a litte help during the day would be nice. If you really want to quantify it, i would say that about 3-4 hours a day would be more than sufficient for you to stay+meals. However i would say we discuss that when you are here. Unlike some other profiles i found here, i really wa... more inside

We are 2 adults with a wonderfull dog (Eurasier). We are looking for a nice person: 2 days per week, the helper will be alone with the dog and has to do long walks (2-3 hours per day), 3 days per week I, Christine, stay at home and with the helper, we will do some maintenance (cleaning or renovating/painting the house, gardening)... and if you want to learn French, I could help you as I'm a French teacher. 2 days are free.
We are living in a very small village (only 19 persons) in the mountains. There is no shop, no restaurant or bar and no bus!... but some wild animals... So, it's a paradise of silence!
And we would be really happy to meet a helper with its own dog! Some great moments for our Meijin!
Hope to hear you soon!

Hello,
we are family (Guido, Beli, Johann 5 and Artur 4), currently working on the dream of turning our garden into a small permaculture paradise and growing as many food supplies as possible on our own.

Also we are about to set up a meeting place for families (Familiengarten), where they can just get together, share facilities, help each other with different tasks, find prepared learning environments for their children and have their children looked after if needed, all of this in the sense of unschooling.

We are at the very beginning with all of this and are looking for people to h... more inside

We are a couple (41 and 47) with three kids, two boys (7 and 6) and a girl (4). We`re living in a beautifully renovated (17th century) farm house. Surrounded by a big garden with an orchard and a vegetable patch. We also keep four chicken, a cat and some beehives.
Before having children, we liked to travel the world. We spent time in Asia, Africa and especially South America, where we traveled in our customized car for almost two years. See our website link above.
Even though we`re living in a French speaking area, our Family language is Swiss-German. Moreover, we speak English, French, some Spanish and Danish.
Our little village (around 1200 inhabitants) is situated in the French speaking part of the canton Bern. It has all the infrastructure needed, such as one bank, a post office, bakery, butcher, little grocery stores, schools…even the famous Swiss chocolate factory Camille Bloch is located here.
Our area offers a lot of hiking and biking trails and just down the mount... more inside

We do organic beekeeping for living and care for a small walnut plantation. We work together with other (organic) farmes and institions (nature park, zoo, ..)

This year we try to finish plenty of house- and gardening projects with wood and stonewalls.
You can join in with beekeeping or help with gardening, also we plan to build a wintergarden with wooden terrace, swimming pond and also convert a barn/stable into a craftsroom.

We try to keep things simple and enjoy life (hiking, canoeing, organic food, dog, cats, pets, friends, yoga,...)
We are "selfmades" and have skills in gardening, beekeeping, working with wood and other handicraftd and have the right tools and usually a smile in our faces. ;-)

Our helper(s) can stay for 2 weeks minimum or longer, we provide an appartment, food and depending on conditions pocket-money. We live close enough to Vienna and great landscapes.

We speak German, English and some Spanish.

— Ecological constructing —
— Clay plastering —

Hello everyone!
____

We are two sisters and a brother (37,36 and 30) in a former farm house with a big garden close to the city center of Hall in Tirol.
Hall is a small picturesque historic town, with lots of nice cafés and cool bars (actually just one ;-)). But Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol is just around the corner, reachable by bike, bus or train.
If you are a sporty person, the area has a lot to offer: there are tons of cablecars, tracks and paths for hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, etc. There are also opportunities for more laid back activities, like cultural, subcultural and sightseeing stuff. We can always provide good advice and suggestions!

About the Helpx activities: in the garden we grow small amounts of vegetables and fruit. This is mostly our mothers responsibility, and she is always very thankful for a helping hand.
At the moment the helpers work with us on our construction project, where we conve... more inside
