Hi there folks! Since you bumped into our profile, here is a description of what we are looking/wishing for :)

We bought our house on January 2014 and moved in two years later. There is always work to do in the garden, where we are growing vegetables following the permaculture principles, and, in case the weather kicks us in, in the basement. We just built a shed in the garden that needs painting, so we are looking for someone who'd be happy to do that : it's at least a three days job. There is also our inside wooden staircase that needs polishing and oiling, which would be another three to four days job.

What brought us here and which kind of people are we looking for? We love to host some travelers from all over the world to help us out. We traveled ourselves during a year (2010-2011) in New Zealand doing woofing and helpex, it was an amazing experience and we've been happily returning the favor since we moved in our house :)

What are we expecting? We are expecting a... more inside

We (Hans&Karo) bought a small house in the countryside. We try to live as self-sufficiently as possible, with our small permaculture vegetable garden and with our ecological lifestyle. Although we have bees, we eat vegan food - we love to cook! We can cater for glutenfree vegatn diets, too.
We live in a very nice, green environment, which is only 40 minutes busride away from Leuven, a beautiful university town. If you are interested in WW II, the village next to ours has a particularly interesting history and small museum.
We have a dog.
We need help weeding, sowing, planting, harvesting, processing the harvest (pickling, fermenting, jam,...). We are still renovating the house and caravan, so if you are a handy or artistic person, you are very welcome! Also if you know how to work with wood or are a mason: we are specifically looking for someone who can help us build a woodshelter, a shelter for the bees, a garden-fence and raised stone gardenbeds.
If you know how to get ... more inside

Hare Krishna, beautiful people!!! :)

Located in one of the most beautiful areas in Europe, our little nest sits in a virgin forest surround by clean rivers and streams. We invite you to experience our Belgian hill billies lifestyle! (Mind you, there are not many hills in Belgium, I tell you! :D)

The famous Ardennean walking trails sitting literally outside our doorstep, you will never run out of things to do around here.

For your accommodation, we offer free camping (and tents if necessary), FYI, there are cramped commercial camp sites few meters down our road charging as much as 30 euros a night to set up a tent! We propose three yummy Krishna Vegetarian meals and free-wifi for 4 hours of work, Monday to Friday (and 3 hours on Saturdays).

In 2018, the work will mostly consist of clearing up of the land. Minimum 5 days, exten... more inside

We are ecologically renovating an old house with straw-bales and clay. We are looking for straw bale / clay building enthusiasts, who like to make their hands dirty.

Hosting gives us the possibility to travel while staying at home. We enjoy making vegetarian dishes, but occasionally we eat meat. Joris is a professional wood fired clay stove builder. An recently started as a full time ceramist, making hand crafted pottery.

As our straw bale building is getting more and more to a finish the type of help that we require gets more and more refined. We need helpers who are handy with woodwork. One of the next projects is making the wooden doors and a kitchen from scratch. A carpenter apprentice would be perfect!!;) But if you know that you are handy you are very welcome to come and learn.
You can find some pictures of the building site via our first website link above.
We live in another house (co-housing with my nice parents) where there are two extra rooms for our host.
