Having now moved on from our bed and breakfast, in which we were lucky enough to host for some wonderful people, we have now started a new project by the river gardon, just upstream from the world famous "Pont du Gard" unesco monument.
We'd very much appreciate help in making this new place into something special, and hope to get to know some new and interesting friends on the way.

If that appeals to you, please get in touch
Update:
Having now spent sometime getting our garden started and water hole installed, we are getting on with various projects in the garden and outbuildings, with the view to eventually becoming autonomous, any gardening experience helpful, or being able to wield a spade.

Hi,
We are looking for 1 or 2 people (partners accepted) to maintain our property.
We are located in "Pont-Légé" (Vendée Area), a small village not far from the world famous Parc "Le Puy du Fou" (Find out more : https://www.puydufou.com/en).

We need some help for cleaning weeds, feeding our animals (2 female goats and 1 pony) and also for taking care of our mobile home.

We'll give you food and shelter (mobile home) on the property and if you do the job properly, we will give you a ride around the area ;)
No matter where you from or who you are, we are enough open-minded to let you join the adventure.

We are an easy going English couple with a large historic property near Agen. We have 3 'children', 18 ,19 and 21yrs who are studying/working in the UK and regularly visit. We are renovating the house and outbuildings as a gites project.

A lot of the work we need help with is outside, so any assistance with general diy, landscaping, gardening, pruning fruit trees clearing brambles, rebuilding stone walls, walking our crazy dog and keeping on top of the vegetable garden would be gratefully received.
Additionally, it would be fantastic if there were helpers with specific trades such as roofing, plastering or plumbing. We are also about to start re-roofing one of the outbuildings and would love help with that too.

We offer you a bed, good company and delicious meals (we are not vegetarian and would find hosting a vegan very difficult). We have 2 comfortable double bedrooms available for our Helpx friends, so would also suit a small group of friends looking to travel togethe... more inside

Looking for animal-loving, outdoors-type, hard working people! In september 2016 I bought a small property 'in the middle of nowhere' that needs a lot of love and attention (not to mention work) so it can become an eco-friendly, clean, warm and beautiful natural place for visitors and guests to enjoy!
Update october 2019: It is the end of the harvesting season for most of the garden, which means we can start preparing the soil for next year; adding manure and compost, building small 'hills' to plant on, creating new patches,. my land is very dry and rocky, not much good soil, so the challenge is to create it ourselves! There is also lots of (fire)wood work to do; chainsawing, splitting, collecting kindle, stacking,..and in the evening, we can enjoy last years work: lighting the fire,. If you want to learn about gardening, animals, vegetarian food and you are not afraid of getting your hands dirty and doing physical work (about 4 hours a day), please contact me and we can discuss det... more inside
