This farm is composed of two farmhouses and their gardens in a tiny village, Döröske. This calm and peaceful village is full of tidy and intimate peasant houses. Its countryside is scenic, as the settlement lies at the ridge of the Vas’ hill. In the first house are living my parents permanently, in the other one our big family’s members periodically. The settlement has a wonderful bathing lake, with a shore rest area. The river Rába – when presents an opportunity to canoe and angle - is three kilometer from the lake.
Our farm is in possession of a big bio garden, what cultivates my mother. We has a lot of fruit trees, which crops we use to eat as some delicious preserve or drink as tasty poteen. Our dog Joda can live in peace with the hens and sometimes strange cats use to visit our land,
We are travelling people so can speak English, German, Spanish and show interest in other cultures.

We are an organic family farm with many children, island horses and lots of other animals. We are located in the middle of the wonderful Hungarian "puszta", which is a sandy area, just like in the desert of Africa, but with more rain and therefore green. Budapest is only 50 km, reachable in about 50 minutes. It is an unforgettable and unique nature surrounding and a beautiful cottage, more than 150 years old. We will have children to familiarise with the country living and learning to ride and would appreciate to have an international helping hand. So if you like riding and children, this is an ideal opportuinity!!

Bushes, berries.
The start of the project was in 2017.
More and more exotic things. Hippy style. Farms of Canary Islands (Tenerife North) gived me inspiration in 2018.
We want to demonstrate an alternative way of life. Urban culture, dance, sports, information technology, digital nomad life, learning languages, along with a healthy environment.

I'm Cookie (38), originally from London but widely travelled. I like to think I'm super open minded, welcoming and friendly.

I've moved into my new place six months ago with my dog Titus (there's also a cat that lives on the land, Rosie). I want it to be an open garden where all are welcome to come and learn, play and enjoy.

I've been in Budapest for almost 2 years, and after tiring of yet more city living I've decided to live how I've always wanted: closer to nature, more self-sufficient and away from the stresses of modern money systems.

At the moment what I have is a lovely bit of land, in a lovely place and a small house to get started with. I have electricity but no running water, that's all rain capture.

St György Hegy is in the Balaton Uplands and part of the National Park, which extends into the Kali Basin. It's a great place for hiking and cycling, and in the summer months it's only 8km to lake Balaton.

St. György Hegy is predominantly a wine growing region. ... more inside
