My husband and I are artists and gardeners, and we have a small milk goat herd. We grow as much of our own food as possible and want to expand to have a surplus of fresh food to offer to our community and the visitors we have. We moved to this piece of property in March 2019 and although we technically own the land, we consider ourselves stewards and very much want to offer a space for learning, retreat, and growth. We are currently looking for an individual or a couple who can help us build a small hoop house, establish garden beds, prune trees, plant more fruit trees and berries, and generally expand our growing potential. We are also learning about Korean Natural Farming and are looking for folks who are interested in learning with us! We can provide fresh, seasonal food, and cook communally or separately depending on guests preferences. At this time we hope to have 3-4 hours of help a day for a couple days up to a week at a time. We can offer a private living space for guests, a... more inside

We are a small rural farm only 1-1/2 miles from Lake Michigan. We have horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, waterfowl, cats, dogs and some exotics. We raise all of our own meat, eggs and dairy as well as 4,000 sq ft of organic gardens for vegetables, herbs and some fruit. We will be building an underground greenhouse, this year, and a root cellar and cheese aging room. There is ample opportunity to work with animals & in the garden. We can provide a furnished room, or a 30' RV, and all meals (cooked from scratch)! There is lots to learn and lots to do!

Our Farm is a 20 acre peri- urban organic farm 4 miles north of Springfield, in southwest Missouri. We have a diverse operation, including pigs, chickens, turkeys, a 6,000 s.f. greenhouse, 5,000 s.f. of solar heated hoop houses, 5 acres of vegetables, a beginning orchard, forest, ponds, a small aquaponics system, vermicomposting, etc. on our 20 acres. The farm is managed organically, meaning we focus on soil health, using compost, cover crops, and manure as our primary fertility sources, and avoid the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. Our farm is located close enough to a metropolitan area that we get to host many tours a year, from beginning farmers to preschools, and education is a big part of the reason we do what we do. We believe that its important for eaters to re-connect with the source of their food, and thats what were here for. We sell our produce through... more inside
