Hello, I'm Salem, living in Wadi Rum desert. I'm looking for volunteers to help me with the tourists during my desert trips and camps in the desert.
The work usually will be guiding tourists, helping cooking and cleaning in the camp, collecting wood for the camp fire, helping in keeping the camp surroundings clean.
Volunteers can learn about the Bedouin life and culture, Arabic language and are given the chance to stay at one of the most amazing deserts of the world.

Feel free to contact me any time, I will try to answer as soon as I can.
Come and live in the beautiful Wadi Rum Desert. Enjoy the silence of this magical place and experience desert life. My tourism business organizes overnight stays and jeep, camel, and hiking tours through the desert. The schedule is relaxed and helpers work 2 to 4 hours a day, depending on how much work there is to do.

Hello,

My name is Salem and I am looking for one or two people to help us work at our desert camp and village home.

While working in the desert camp our duties include cooking and serving food, cleaning and general maintenance.

While working at our village home duties include website management and editing, marketing, answering and booking tourists' inquires and reservations, and email correspondence.

Ideally, we would like volunteers with strong English language skills and a basic knowledge of computers to help us with day-to-day operations, especially when I am out of the house.

For compensation I provide lodging in my village home and food. During free time you may roam the desert at your leisure. If time and availability permits, you may join in on any tourist excursions, or spend a night with a Bedouin family in the desert and experience the Bedouin lifestyle. You would also be welcome to come out to our Bedouin family camp and interact with our camels :).

Salam and hello,

My name is Awod and I live in the desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan. Wadi Rum is a home for numerous of Bedouin families, who have lived all their lives in the desert. The desert around us is one of a kind, with gorgeous mountains, fine red and white sand and dunes. We live a simple and peaceful life. We enjoy spending time in the desert around a camp fire, telling stories and having some sweet Bedouin tea.

I've been working many years in tourism, making jeep tours and hiking trips for tourists. I need an extra hand to do some office work, someone who could work with the computer e.g. answering e-mails, helping with reservations etc. I could also need some help with hosting the tourists: this includes for example helping me to serve the dinner and breakfast, make the beds and help cleaning a bit.

We provide the volunteer with accommodation and food. The volunteer would stay in the village of Wadi Rum, in the house of my mother with my two sisters. When we have tou... more inside

After several years working with tourists in the beautiful desert of Wadi Rum in Jordan, I\'ve got a big experience as a guide.

My name is Atayek Hamad, from the tribe of Zalabieh and i grew up in the desert where my parents are still living in.

I am very proud of my bedouin culture and I like to share it with the foreigners who are going to visit my area.

Very good driver, well experimented as trekking guide, I speak and understand english good enough and I want to communicate my passion of the desert to the others.

I know many beautiful places where you can contemplate the red landscape of Wadi Rum, on the top of the highest mountains of the place for example. I will show you the tracks of animal drawings on the sand, I will tell you about our wild bedouin life here, I will lead you through unknown canyons and roads. We will share together the pleasure of being in such an amazing place.

You can decide to sleep under a bedouin tent in a camp, or outside in the moonli... more inside

We are a small budget hotel in the town of Petra, just up the hill from the town center and offer guests wonderful views of the Petra mountains. After a long day walking around Petra, visitors can sit back and relax on the hotel's balconies or rooftop terrace and enjoy the sunset, mountain panorama and later on, the lights of the town.
Our philosophy is captured by the Arabic saying - betna betkum - "our home is your home". All of our guests are very welcome.

We are looking for someone to come and help out with reception, general helping out and chatting with the guests.
