This Farm and garden is situated in the southern part of Morocco near the Sahara desert.

Together with my wife and son we've been managing this beautiful property for the past 8 years.

The work here involves mainly of caring for the palm trees so they can produce the date fruits.
After the harvested fruit season, dates are picked from the trees to be eaten and also sold locally.

Occasionally there are also some animals on the farm like sheep, goats donkeys and camels.
These animals graze in our own areas.

A short visit to the nearby desert can easily be arranged since Ahmed worked as a chef there in a camp.

We do however ask a small contribution mainly towards meals since there's no other option than to be provided by us.

Back at the farm the facilities include toilets,
Internet, kitchen, and bedrooms.

Please feel free to contact us with any queries and any more info you might need.. we're here to help you and gladly host you...

Hello travellers,

my name is Tereza, I am Czech and I live in an ancient atmospheric house in the old medina of Marrakech, not more then 5 minutes from the phenomenal place Jema el Fna. I call the house Dar Esperanzah.

With Mohamed a good friend of mine who lives in a small Berber village in High Atlas we have recently started a travel project. Both of us have different working career background (me in finance, Mohamed as tour/ mountain guide) so we decided to combine skills and become successful together:-)

And we count on you, dear fellow travellers, that you will get enthusiastic for our cross-cultural project and come to live and help us with your experiences and new ideas.

Currently we especially appreciate support for

positioning of our website in Google and other search machines

online marketing - newsletter, Facebook, Instagram...

also we welcome some good photographs who would like to go with us on hike/... more inside

We are a friendly french family : Christophe : healer (osteopath)and meditation instructor, Maud : writer and actor's director, with 3 easy going children : Lin 12 years old, Enki 4 years and Zacharie 1 year.
We’ve built TIGMI ALYOM a meditation center where we organize retreats, meditation, tai-chi-chuan and other courses.
Our place is situated in a very beautiful area surrounded by argan and olive trees’s forests. It is very quiet : no cars arounds (only dunkies !), no city…

We need a hand for looking after Enki and Zacharie, for cooking (we love discovering new meals from all over the world), for gardening. Sometimes we are in France but you are still welcome if you feel like helping with promotion work for our meditation center on internet. Then Omar will be home, he's 28 years old, a very gentle and friendly person.

Very close to home, you will find nice walking tracks, the river, amazing views…
it's ideal if you are mature, able to be independant sometimes and ... more inside

My name is Madani, I live in M'hamid El Ghizlane in the Draa Valley, the last village before the Sahara. 6 years ago I build this farm where I try to grow vegetables despite salted water and low resources.
I am a nomad who has had to settle because of the drought, I know about camels, not agriculture. I want to set an example for the people of the village and encourage them to do the same, to show them that this is possible and that they're not forced to leave M'hamid because of lack of work. Unfortunately I do not get to be independent in my farm for lack of experience certainly, but also because of the weather conditions and salt water.
This page was created to encourage people of any nationality interested in desert farming to come and help me participating in my project.
But as I said I still can not produce enough to make a real woofing so I request participation for meals, 60 drh (6 euros) per day per person and 3 hours (15 hours per week) . This money is ... more inside
