This place started 5 years ago working as an example in organic farming, we're still working on it.

Our daily works include fruit n nut tree planting, vegetable plantation and management, stable cleaning.

As we are a young farm we still have a lot of construction in our day, usually it involves cob plastering, carpentry, earthbagging, hunting missions to the jungle, etc.

Our farm sits on a hill over a small Tamang village known as Gaggle. We have about 60 homes in our community. Forests behind us, river down below and good Himalayan views when no clouds prevail.

We ask for 5 hours help a day, usually divided between mornings and afternoons. Saturdays we try to keep as an off day.

We offer local home stay with a nepalie family (you will get separate room). It is 500 rupees per day per person including 2 times local meals with the family (DalBhat) and morning tea. And it is 5 nights minimum stay*. We also ask that no alcohol is consumed on our farm and projects.

Hello, my name is Shamser. I am the principal of the primary school as well as a chair person for a local NGO in Lamjung, Nepal. I was recently selected for top 50 finalists for Global Teacher Prize for 2019. My family has a homestay located in a beautiful part of northwestern Nepal on the top of a hill with stunning views of Annapurna, Fishtail, Manaslu, Peak 29 and Lamjung. My village is called Gaunshahar. It is the original abode of the royal family of Nepal that later relocated to Kathmandu. The small palace and courtyard still hosts traditional festivals that attract many people from all around many times a year. Gaunshahar is 4km uphill from Besisahar, one of the starting points of the famous Annapurna Circuit trek.

Our school currently welcomes over 100 students, aged 3-10, divided into 8 grades; Pre-school, Lower Kindergarten, Upper Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2 , Grade 3, Grade 4 and Grade 5. We currently have 4 children with special needs. All students from the village... more inside

Some friends and I living in the peaceful town of Kirtipur (only 30 minutes from KTM city center) has established this organization.

The purpose of this organization is to introduce travelers to the real Nepal. Many people come to Nepal to trek and experience local culture. Unfortunately, many people never get the opportunity to get out of Thamel and participate in Nepali lifestyle. We will set you up with a homestay family for any length of time. We can place you in a rural or urban home according to your preferences as well. During your stay you will have the chance to experience authentic Nepali culture. You may visit local sites with your family members, learn how to cook traditional food, help with daily tasks around the home or farm. Teaching is also an option. If there is something you are particularly interested in learning about or a specific area in Nepal you would like to spend time in we can accommodate this request. If you wish to stay with families in several distri... more inside

My farm is inspired by nepalese traditional farming design, where we grow fruits, vegetables, flowers, animals, birds etc. we have very nice environment like home.

The farm is starting or growing from this year, we are new, construction of building houses, terraces, making cow shed, goat, chicken houses, making compost are going these days so we are looking for those helpers who prefer to work in this phase

One of the unique aspects of our farm is that we have managed to combine traditional Nepalese farming methods and knowledge with new and experimental approaches. As such, you have the opportunity to learn from the ancient expertise that exists, as well as freely contribute with any ideas. Life is beautifully simple here. There are certainly no luxurious or expensive facilities, but our family and the many other wonderful people that call this place home prefer it that way.

We warmly open our gates and hearts to all those who would like to learn about authentic traditional farm... more inside

Nagarkot:
Namaste! My name is Gregg. I recently moved to Nepal after retiring from a career in Information Technology. I am in the early stages of developing an organic farm in which to grow fruit and nut trees, vegetables, and medicinal plants and herbs. The land is in a beautiful setting 30 km east of the busy dusty city of Kathmandu. On a clear day you can see the snow-capped Himalayas in the distance. Iím seeking individuals with varying levels of farm or garden experience. The work involves clearing land, digging holes for trees, preparing vegetable beds, setting up seed beds, weeding, and all the usual work a small farm requires. Any experience in organic farming practices, water management, rain water capturing, irrigation, green houses, and hydroponics will also be especially desirable. The land is north facing, moderately sloped, and terraced.
Depending on your level of involvement, we request a $5 donation per day for a room housing up to 2 or 4 people. Rooms have west... more inside

Our farm is a family run permaculture farm in Chitwan District, Nepal with supporters in the U.S and Canada.

In Nepali, Ajamvari means eternal. We chose the name because of our commitment to sustainability, permaculture, and living on the land in a way that builds long-lasting connections in the village and around the world.

Our farm is located in Gunjangar, a village in Chitwan, the Terai region of Nepal. It is 150 km from Kathmandu and 15km from Chitwan National Park.

Staying on our farm, you will have opportunities to learn more about organic farming, experience rural Nepali lifestyles and practice Nepali. Mr. Udaya Raj and Mrs. Sadhana Parajuli and their children Sebika and Subahs will be your hosts, providing lively conversation, lots of laughter, and wholesome farm cuisine.

Our farm is about five acres and has many trees to provide fruit and fodder. Underneath grow pineapples, yams, ginger, sugar cane, and many medicinal herbs. We also have plots for seasonal ... more inside
