Our place is located in the small village of Nagarkot, in Bhaktapur district. Lying in the hills of this district, it is 35 km from Kathmandu and a one and half hour bus ride by public bus. It is just 3 km away from the renowned Nagarkot tower and High Street, a tourist attraction full of hotels which attract travellers during the dry season when mountain views are clear.

I am Pramila Parajuli and my family and friends live and work on this farm. We are Brahmin people. Around the village, there are different ethnic groups like Tamang and Newars, and also Brahmin. Our effort is to provide our guests with a Cultural and lingual exchange along with learning the traditional way of organic farming.
Surrounding the village there is a large jungle where an occasional leopard, tiger, or bear can be spotted. We use spring water for daily purpose. This water is drinkable without purification as it comes directly from the earth, purified naturally through stones and aquifers. However, we u... more inside

Namaste everybody!

My family and I welcome you to our home in the village of Changu Narayan. Changu is located about 20 km from Kathmandu and where I have grown up and spent my life with my wife Menuka. We have three children who are all getting in to work, as well as our granddaughter who lives with us.

We want people to stay with us so they can experience the village life of Nepal. We have cows, goats, dogs and other animals in the village. Here you are considered a member of our family. We encourage you to get to know us and spend time with us! The longer you stay the closer we become.

Evolving to our comments I have to tell you that its not easy for me to except help. In our culture its not nice to tell people what to do, so a former volunteer helped me and created a book with insight information and listings of all projects.

We are a young, friendly family and our house is located in the quiet and cozy area of Swayambhu. We live 5 minutes from the Monkey temple, one of the most famous and popular tourist attraction in town.

I am Nischal Sherestha and I live with my father Sundar Mani, my mother Sita and my young sister Prakriti. We all live together in a lovely house, working and managing our shop and garden.

We live in a less polluted area of Kathmandu, ideal for those people looking for a nice and quiet place a little aside from the busy city center. We are just 30 minutes by foot from Thamel and from our place you can easily catch any busses heading all around Kathmandu, Nepal (Pokhara, Chitwan...) and India.
