40 bunk bed lodge, nesteled in native bush, with walks and beautiful streams and plunge pools. We run retreats and hire out the lodge for guests. There is a mixture of jobs from building, to gardening to catering and cleaning. We love good food and enjoy sharing our place with people who love to learn and work hard. We often make trips to Mount Maunganui to the beach where we love to surf and visit. We are currently undertaking full permaculture design and build so come if you wish to learn more about organic food systems.

We are a family-run holiday park in Maketu, near Te Puke, in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. Our family consists of Mum and Dad, and our three sons - 13 year old (at boarding school most of the time), 11 year old who loves to play sport and horse ride, and a cute and playful 2 year old. We also have an international exchange student living with us.

We have very busy lifestyle and simply do not have enough hands and time to do all the work that the holiday park and raising a family requires.

We are looking for friendly helpers who would be able to help us with:

* Outdoor grounds work -
* Gardening
* Landscaping
* Light building work
* Pool Cleaning
* Painting etc

We would like you to work for 4 hours per day as well as helping with the evening dishes/kitchen clean up.

In return for 4 hours work per day we will provide you with accommodation and meals. Basic sleepout is available, as shown in photos. But from time to time we may have cabins available

We are a family of 5 (3 small children) on a large property in the hills, about 20mins out of town. We have some avocado trees, many chestnut trees and free range chickens (for the time being-maybe more later). We are fairly new to this life-style, but have always been organic. We are vegetarian (though we accept meat-eaters) & health conscious and are looking for responsible people to join the family and help with housework, cooking and looking after the children. Speaking French or Chinese is a bonus. Eng, Ger & Fr are spoken and we are learning Chinese (mandarin).

Keith & Nicola have a beautiful neat tidy Avocado orchard - 300 trees -20 mins drive from both Katikati and Tauranga. We have one puppy and one very large cat (he's getting very old now and definately past his use by date!!). We both work from home and are interested in having some help on the orchard pulling weeds, spreading mulch and fertilizer etc. For our helpers we have a double bedroom and bathroom in our very nice timber home, and lots of interesting places to visit in the area. We are very happy to pick our helpers up from the bus, airport etc. We are non smoking and look forward to meeting helpers that can become part of the family during their short stay.

I have a small lifestyle block with sheep,a horse and 2 dogs and would like help sometimes with my gardening or keeping the land tidy. I'm a senior citizen (female), and work a 30 hour week at a community office 8 kms towards town at Te Ngae shopping centre.
My place is approx 14 kms from Rotorua city, so own transport might be easier for you, unless you are comfortable with hitch-hiking. Buses do run to the airport, and past the community centre where I work, so I can help to some degree with transport.
I used to have a bed and breakfast place in Rotorua so am happy with overseas visitors and would supply all food for a few hours work each day.

We are a couple who would like to bring out the full potential of our lovely property. James spends most of his time working in the large garden and running the lodge accommodation business, whilst Victoria works in a local preschool, looks after the home and two small children (aged 4 and 7).

The property already contains areas of native bush, tree plantings, a small orchard, lawn, ponds and various shrubbery. The main tasks that need doing include: tending the orchard, vineyard and large vegetable patch; weeding and pruning in the garden; and making compost. We may also ask you to do a small amount of household tasks or child minding.

We would welcome helpers all year round. Usually we host 1 or 2 people at a time, but occasionally we will take more (up to 6) if there is a specific task that requires more people. There is always lots to do in the garden, so we can match your skills to the tasks needing doing.

Our house is large and comfortable and helpers normally stay in... more inside

We are on a lifestyle block separated from Tauranga harbour by the train track. Myself, my partner Debbie and her daughter Sophie live here and Debbies IT business is run from an office on the property with permanent office staff. We are half way between Tauranga and Katikati so it's about a 20k trip to either town. There is wireless internet at the property. We have Alpacas, Pigs, Sheep, Goats and miniature horses plus dogs and cats.
We have a large greenhouse that was growing calla lilies which we are replacing with sub tropicals. We have a few fruit trees and 38 Avocado trees which are bianual and will not produce this year.
You could come and help with some weeding and spraying and if you can do some fencing or building work that would be great..
