This farmstay is currently occupied by a lovely HelpX helper. Will update when it becomes available again.

Come and enjoy a farmstay in South West Victoria. We have a variety of helper exchange opportunities from working with sheep & horses and general farm maintenance to domestic duties such as helping us get our house and garden back under control! Food and accommodation included. Language exchange encouraged.

We are a family of 4 in an old but comfortable farm house with air con and woodfire. Helper accomodation is a comfy bedroom in the family house with all amenities shared.

Flexible duties, hours and perks such as fuel for your car in return for work can be negotiated to allow you to travel and explore the region. Best to have your own vehicle as there is little access to public transport and lots to see in our region but we can assist if you don't. Nearest pick up for public transport is bus to Lake Bolac or Mortlake or train to Camperdown train station.

We are a retired couple who love all things to do with the visual arts & music. We live in a large converted warehouse style building which has an open plan living area, two lofts and several bedrooms plus a recently opened art gallery. There is also a large garden on approx. half and acre with lots of fruit trees, a chicken house, pond and bamboo forest and very friendly dog named Krug!

We are living the dream here in Hepburn (approx. 1.2hrs from Melbourne). Our place is close to a general store (a few mins walk away) Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, several cafes, restaurants and a pub across the road.

In return for 4 to 6 hours of help per day we will proved accommodation, meals and vibrant conversation. We would love a hand with:

Painting
Taming the garden
Establishing veg plots
Pruning trees
Sorting out artworks
Hanging exhibitions
Framing & printing pictures
Chopping wood

We have space for two person's in a loft bedroom with a double bed, deskspace a... more inside

Situated north of Melbourne, nestled in the foothills of Kinglake National Park around an hour to the city. Close to the Yarra Valley region and rural areas loaded with native flora and fauna. Although only an hour to the city and everything on offer, only 9 kms to the train, so your own vehicle would be helpful however not essential. There are loads of bush walks, wineries and an alternative market nearby on Saturday mornings. We have chickens, goats, 2 cats and 2 dogs.

We require someone who is trustworthy to help with gardening, cleaning and general odd jobs around the house. In exchange for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, we offer a private bedroom, with shared bathroom, kitchen and living facilities. Also access to the pool, spa, gym and theatre room. You will need to do your own cooking, as we are unable to due to our schedules.

We are a family of 3, of a blended culture, prominently speaking English at home, although Spanish is also often spoken. Stays of at least a week... more inside

I am feeling quite disappointed with the government rules on working visas as helpers don't seem willing to come visit my beautiful property. The weather has been absolutely fantastic this spring.I have had 1 helper since Xmas. I am in need of 2 helpers with the grounds maintenance. You will stay in the main house with your own bedroom and shower, meals will be prepared together. I prefer to have at least 2 people at a time. Now is a great time for Australian emu's, kangaroo's and wallabies to be seen in the wild. This property was a commerical trout farm, it was burnt out in the 2003 bush fires. We purchased the property in February 2007 over run with blackberries and tree suckers. Property has double creek frontage. The pristine Nariel Creek is the main creek. We are in the process of cleaning up the blackberries, dead trees along the banks of the creek to gain access to fish for trout, swimming, canoeing, gold panning and spying the odd platypus. The property is surrounded by crow... more inside

Historic farmhouse high in the hills of the Otways overlooking the Southern Ocean. We are restoring the house, creating gardens and a hothouse and would love some help, especially from builders or carpenters, but any help is much appreciated. We have ocean to the south and national park to the north with glow worms and tree ferns. It is a very gorgeous place to spend some time. We are told our food is excellent and we take anyone staying with us to see things around the district if they don't have their own transport. We need practical and enthusiastic people who love to share their stories over a glass of wine and good food, so if that sounds like you we would love to hear from you.

Hi I am a busy single mum with a 8 yo lovely girl. I am looking for a nice friendly female to stay with us to take care of my daughter for around 20 hours per week in exchange of free room. We live in a big 3 bedroom house in Ringwood, VIC. Our house is within walking distance to public transport and Eastland shopping center. I am a Chinese lady. I am a nurse in hospital. We are easy going people. Only me and my daughter live in the house. So you will have your own room and lots of space to relax.
I would prefer Asian girls as we would have similar culture and food.
Thanks for reading my profile. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers

please text or email if you have any questions. thanks

Are you looking for a sabbatical? Come and stay in our beautiful home in Mount Evelyn which is in the centre of the Yarra Valley and the Dandenongs regions & less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD. I share the home with my two children aged 8 & 13. I am a single mother and have the children at home with me 60% of the time.
In return I will require assistance with cleaning & laundry duties and gardening and any heavy lifting (such as shopping) as I will be recovering from an operation. I will also need help cleaning the one room B&B which is located underneath the property.
Additionally, you will be required to do a little driving so it's essential you have a license to drive in Australia.
You will have plenty of freedom to do sightseeing and I will assist you with this. There is public transport nearby but sometimes you may be able to use my car.
Mountain bike available- it's a wonderful area for bike riding so if you're into fitness and cycling this will suit you well.
