Our place is in a stunning setting amongst the native bush and wildlife of the Strathbogie ranges. It's a great space to relax, explore, and there's often a fun local event to attend.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 10 years old). We have a large garden, grow a lot of veggies, have an orchard of over 100 trees (every type of fruit imaginable), bee hives and about 50 free range chickens. We are both teachers (music and art) and I play saxophone in several bands most weekends (afrobeat, lots of west and South African styles, jazz, funk, soul and more), so if you like good music and visiting Melbourne, this might be a good place for you.

We have a friendly dog and a cat, and lots of beautiful friends nearby, in Melbourne and all over. There are lots of nice spots nearby for swimming (Polly McQuinns waterhole and Gooram falls), walking, riding and adventures. 15 mins to lake Eildon and an hour to skiing at Mt Buller (bus stop a few kms down the road). 30 mins to eit... more inside

Hi There,

Normally a fit and healthy mum, I have ruptured a disc in my back and need complete rest for six weeks.

We are an easy going family of 4.
We would like to work on the model of around 4 hours work per day in exchange for self contained accommodation, with a beautiful view, with daily visits of kangaroos and birdlife.
We are needing help to prepare and cook the evening time meal, make the next days lunches and clean up afterwards. Also some basic gardening and household duties would be involved.

We are happy to accommodate couples or singles and prefer if you have your own transport, (as we are in a semi-rural location)

I will be home all the time, just need help in running my household.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Normal suburban 3 BR house. 1 Bedroom Free, soon to be 2 free.

Needing some help in cleaning, tidying, gardening.

We have a luxury camping getaway set on our 25 acre protected bush property, it is a home of significant local flora and fauna. With 360 degree views from Kinglake to Kilmore. Located at the door step are many local wineries and the gateway to the Yarra Valley region. We are also under an hour from Melbourne city.

On the property we are currently building our strawbale house. We are interested in hosting singles or couples who would like the opportunity to have a glamping experience unlike many others in exchange for a few hours labor on our house build. Jobs will likely include swinging a hammer or handing me tools.

The glamping site is the only accommodation on our property and you would have the private use of it. Giving you a wonderful secluded Australian bush escape. There are cooking and cleaning facilities, a flushing toilet and hot water.

So a little about us, Iím a primary school art teacher who is taking time away from the classroom to build our family home. Elle... more inside

This is a beautiful property - and requires some ongoing general property maintenance.
Jobs including gardening - weeding, mowing, trimming, mulching and some painting. The choock shed needs a bit of attention, nothing to major, just general upkeep really.
I`d be happy to have you here, no smoking, drugs or alcohol.
The property backs onto the beautiful Tarago River and has a variety of native bird life around.
For those wondering - there is plenty of space to park your RV and hook up to water and power!
Longwarry North is in West Gippsland, its about 1hr 15 minutes from Melbourne CBD, about 1 hour from Philip Island and Wilsons Prom, at the foothills of the Strezlecki ranges and Mt Baw Baw. Some very beautiful country to explore around Gippsland. Your own vehicle is a must.

My farm, located near Kaniva, is a commercial agricultural enterprise in the Wimmera region of western Victoria (midway between Melbourne and Adelaide). It has been owned by my family for more than 130 years. In 2006 I purchased the major portion of the productive land from the family Estate, and now annually crops nearly 425ha to spring wheat, barley, oats, field beans and canola. I am fully responsible for the management and on-going development of the farm, with a "share-farmer" undertaking many of the farm labour components.

I do not have enough work to keep you busy long-term, but I certainly have enough for 5-10 days. The deal I am offering is that you help me with general farm chores (e.g. burning up heaps of branches, some fencing repairs, cleaning up branches under trees, caring for my lawns and garden, cutting up firewood, planting farm trees, etc) and I provide free meals and accommodation and a modest weekly payment. Depending on the day/weather we would work for ... more inside

Home is a large old weatherboard house in beautiful Sherbrooke, in the Mount Dandenong Ranges. This dear old place may one-day soon again become guest-house, like it was 100 years ago. Mdeantime both house and garden need plenty of tender loving care.

The hills are a popular destination, with native forests for walking, public gardens, villages, cafes and galleries. See: http://www.villagesofmtdandenong.com.au/

Sherbrooke itself is made up of a state forest and a mountain village. It is recognised internationally as the home of the Lyrebird, and many native birds visit us daily.

Sherbrooke is one hour drive east of Melbourne city, or 1 hour on the train from Melbourne to nearby Belgrave.

As a busy professional household this year we have been grateful for helpers' assistance with yard-work, household chores, firewood management and painting. We have a large organic home vegetable garden. Skills needed now include gardening, stonework, fencing, painting, carpentry and bu... more inside
