COME AS STRANGERS.....LEAVE AS FRIENDS :-)

We are a couple of middle aged parents with a beautiful energetic young pre-schooler, passionate about developing and living in a sustainable world. Dad manages the dairy farm where we live, while Mum is home schooling our daughter.

Dad spends the majority of his time running a large scale dairy farm, however in our spare time we are developing another 5 acre property with permaculture principles in mind. We are hoping to find people who would be happy to join us in this endeavour, whilst also helping around the house and dairy, and with our daughter.

We are located about 2 hours from the city, in a region that has diverse farming operations-from vineyards and market gardens, through to dairy and sheep.

We'd love to share our rustic, no-frills life experiences with you here, in exchange for your willingness to help us as we work in our food-garden, care for the animals, and play with our kids in the great Australian outdoors. O... more inside

Helper must love dogs and be able to handle them with confidence. I run a Home Boarding establishment that require dogs to be cared for in my own home. This can be demanding at times but also fun. I pride myself in being self sufficient although surgerys stop this, hence lm needing some support to care for dogs, get the place up to scratch again Work includes gardening, feeding animals window cleaning, painting, do require housework occasisionally and prefer that you can cook meals for yourself. Respect for person with a disability, highly desirable. Accom within my home or camping if desired. Non smokers only. I prefer a minimum commitment of two weeks.
A phone call is preferred contact. I also need to advise I can be absent from property and the helper will need to be comfortable on their own a... more inside

Hi my name is Kellie.

I live in a sweet little house just outside of Castlemaine in a town called Newstead.

I love to cook amazing food (vegetarian), play music by the fire, make things and host people in various ways.

I have a 5 year old son who is with me one week on one week off, he is funny and energetic.

What I'm looking for is someone to help me sort out the veggie garden, make a chook run and build a tree house- support with keeping the house tidy etc is also gratefully received.

I can provide accommodation, breakfast and dinner and would love 15-20 hours per week.

Happy to work together to get things done but can also leave instructions and let you do your thing.

The area is really beautiful in the spring/summer/autumn and we can welcome you into the spare or the camper van if you'd like some more space to your self.

There is also space for vans to park should you have one of your own.

(taking people from September 20th)

Mallacoota lies approximately halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. It is in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park and is a world biosphere reserve.

There are a dozen beaches within walking distance of our house and our property is situated on a quiet street close to town.

We need help with child care, house duties, gardening, and general maintenance. We can offer a room with two beds, a shared bathroom and would like someone or a couple who are flexible and willing to work 4-5 hours per day. So work until lunchtime and then hit the beach.

I have 2 ponies and a dog to look after. If you enjoy riding then Mallacoota is the place for you.

Hi we are Antonia, who is local from Australia and Fernando who is originally from Mexico. Together we have started Tonantzin Chocolate, making Aztec Artisan Chocolate. We produce raw organic chocolate bars in our chocolate kitchen, which is in the basement of our house, located on a wild little bush property. Even though you feel emerged in nature, it is only a 10 minute walk or short bike ride to town, where transport is available to the city in one direction and further into the beautiful Yarra Valley in the other.

We require help with packing our chocolate, assistance with the chocolate making process, some light building work inside and out, and we have two young children, so help with childcare and tidying up is always welcome. We would also love help going to weekend farmers markets and even some delivery trips to the city.

We have a spare room for your accommodation downstairs, which has a single bed and a couch that folds into a double bed.
We are happy to host singl... more inside
