Hi there, we are a sugarcane and cattle producer looking for a little help at times, situated in babinda just south of cairns where fresh water creeks are an abundance along side beautiful rainforest, I try to get to the Great Barrier Reef when the weather is good, a great experience if you love the water and fresh seafood. The boat is quite large with plenty of room, so there will be plenty of food, good laughs and fun times.

The accomodation is quite private, air conditioned bed rooms, and large entertainment area with a BBQ for use at any time.
Smoking is permitted outside the house at any time, mobile phones are ok, also children and pets are excepted and only 5 klms to babinda town centre.

One to two hours of work per day is sufficient for accomodation and main meals. Nothing to stranious. Help with basic duties such as checking stock water, gardening around the house and maybe some cooking to introduce your culture. During the cane season there will be more paying jobs... more inside

Please contact by email if you have skills in the following:
Labouring: we are doing some home repairs and Paul needs a strong person to help lift and carry building materials like roofing iron and fencing; also other garden treelopping, weeding and pruning. Housekeeping: general cleaning, washing walls, cleaning inside cupboards. Nerida has been working away in a remote outback area and needs a good cleaner with an eye for detail to get the home back to normal. Helpers must be able to work without supervision at times, and be careful about keeping doors closed so our cats stay inside - we have two indoor cats, and one is blind. We are a couple in our 50's.We are 6km from city centre on half-acre (2000mm2) of gently sloping land that backs onto a creek & bush - very quiet & private. Spare room in house with queen-sized bed. Two hours per day per person work, in exchange for accommodation and prepare your own meals in our kitchen (preferred), or 4 hours per day meals and accommodat... more inside

Looking for help now in November 2019.

We are a young family with three children 13, 11 and 8. We live in the beautiful suburb of Brookfield right on the edge of a national park with riding trails and walks surrounding us. We have ten acres with a pool, dam, campfire and viewing deck for you to enjoy. Two horses, two cows, a dog and a cat not to mention all the other native wildlife are also there for your enjoyment.

We welcome young traveller's looking to stop and stay for a week or two and help around the house and property. You have your own separate accommodation external to the main house however kitchen and toilets are a part of the main house. Having your own transport is an advantage as we are a few kilometers to the local shop however not a necessity. Generally we are happy to help with transport.

Non Smokers only please.
