We are a small, independent, family owned hotel in the north highlands of Scotland. My partner Angus and I run the place along with our 2 wee ginger kids and a friendly old retriever dog called Sonny. We are looking for someone to help us and our small team within the hotel. Tasks including housekeeping, laundry, helping in kitchen. We provide all meals and your own ensuite private room or in a small caravan. We have a great wee bar with regular music sessions and have bikes and kayaks here for you to use, and are more than happy to tell you of some great places to visit on your days off. Its also really important to us that you like kids as they are very much part of your experience here. We have welcomed volunteers from all over the world and have become really good friends with them. Living in such a quiet area of Scotland we want our kids to meet and get to know people from all different cultures and places...and become part of our family. So if you are friendly, happy, hard wor... more inside

We're looking for somebody who can tend the garden and help with the current projects which include turning our lower patio into a Japanese theme garden, developing our woodland with a few relaxation areas, including making a swing and a yoga/rest platform. Garden work includes planting out, weeding and general maintenance, and we use permaculture, organics and biodynamics which provide fantastic results. We're really experimental in what we grow and how we grow it so it would be a great experience for somebody into that sort of thing. And if you can help around the house that would be even better. I am happy to train you and it's good fun!

Andrew and Yolande live in Howle Hill, which is 3 miles south of Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire. Our property is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is close to the Forest of Dean, Monmouthshire (Wales) and Gloucestershire.

Yolande and Andrew are well seasoned travellers who have helpxed around the world. We have a low-impact, sust... more inside

Accommodation and English language training if required in our lowly but characterful three hundred year old fen edge cottage. Its scruffy and often a bit dirtyent as I'm decluttering days. But summer is still here andent its beautiful if you like animals and countryside and medieval cities and scruffy old cottages.

Its exactly halfway along the road from Cambridge to Newmarket, the capital of horseracing. Its 7 miles from each centre. That takes about 15 mins in flowing traffic and considerably more in rush hour.
Urgently in need of helpers at the mom Please come

There is a bus into town(s) from the corner and there is also the park and ride service which is cheaper and quicker than the regular bus which is nearby so we can always run you to or from there in our car.

We are a couple in our mid sixties. I'm a semi-retired freelance English language teacher, teacher trainer and ex-author of resource books for teachers. I'm thinking of moving to Spain or France with the ... more inside

Beautiful old cottage and 'gardens' in the Tamar Valley, Cornwall, an area of outstanding natural beauty - between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, one mile (on foot) to the River Tamar, half an hour to the south coast and one hour to the north coast (by car).

Sue (Mum) and Grace (daughter) live here, Marcus lives up the hill, and various friends and family visit and join in. We are in the third year of a new plan for our land. Sue has been here for 35 years, raised a family, grown food, flowers and herbs, worked as a healing therapist and run courses and ceremony.

Much of the land is sloping, with limited sunlight hours but last year we got a south-facing flat piece of land! Our aim is to develop a new community project to grow more food, keep more chickens, plant a new orchard and develop the healing and community side with an emphasis on reconnecting with nature for health.

Whats needed is enthusiasm and flexibility for a wide variety of tasks and extra strength and physic... more inside

The estate has an exceptional collection of heritage assets comprising 16 separate Grade I, II* and II listed buildings set within a Grade II registered historic park and garden.

We have 70 English longhorn cattle, historic gardens, woodlands, ponds, wetlands and parkland.

Help is needed in general maintenance of the site, gardens, woodland etc. cutting lawns, trimming hedges, shrubs, weeding, taking care of the rose garden and feeding and checking the cattle everyday.

we also want to start reusing the walled garden to grow vegetables.

The estate is within St Osyth village, close to the beach and has good transport links to Colchester, Ipswich, Chelmsford and London.

I am willing to teach what i know about cattle, vegetable growing and farm management in exchange for some help and conversation.

I am also a musician.

Pentiddy is a family run Permaculture and woodland project on a 27 acre holding- consisting of a small flock of sheep, a few ducks and lots and lots of trees including a small orchard.
We have built our own cruck framed straw bale house, with a new natural swimming pond and we also run a natural burial site.

Approx. 13 acres is existing woodland and most of the remainder is new planting of coppice, much with public access.

Living is blissfully basic, all off-grid- dry composting toilet, rainwater harvesting, solar/wind power systems, limited wi-fi internet available. No TV.

Help required in the woods, garden (i.e polytunnel/food production) completion of straw bale house and other day-to-day tasks such as chopping firewood, cooking etc.

Some of our other interests are green woodworking, breadmaking, homebrewing, bushcraft, charcoal burning, music and basketry.

This is a creative family environment- there is always constant conversation with our two home educated chil... more inside

Looking for help from 12th February 2019

We live by the sea in Devon, in the South West of England, half an hour from the wonderful Dartmoor National Park, 25 minutes from the beautiful city of Exeter. The nearest train station with trains to London every couple of hours is just a short walk away.

We live 5 minutes walk away from the beach and harbour.

In exchange for about 4.5 hours work a day, 5-6 days a week, you will have accomodation, decent wifi and all meals, including a packed lunch if you are going out for the day. We eat a vegan diet (no meat, diary or eggs). It would be great if you are vegan too, but of course that's not a requirement! We'll give you plenty of tips to help you cook vegan food :) The work hours you are required to do need to be flexible around the family - depending what needs doing that day - but ideally if you are confident to cook a simple evening meal for the majority of the week, and do an hour or two housework, working on your own, that'... more inside
