We are a family home comprising of 6 of us (us and our 4 grown up tribe who stay at home sometimes) coming and going , 2 dogs, a rabbit and 3 sheep ecolawn mowers. There is usually lots going on and we like that. We are looking for an individual or couple that are both happy to muck in and be hands on. Short stays are fine, longer stays considered. There are lots of things to do inside the house and out, but we are quite relaxed and open to new ideas. It would be hugely beneficial to us if you have any skills such as carpentry. At this time of year, we need help with a variety of tasks, from strimming and brush cutting, to collecting and preparing firewood. The large garden is always in need of weeding and pruning. Cooking and cleaning are always a welcome addition.
We are at the beginning of growing food and making the most of the land but would like help to build on this. There is also plenty of space for camping, definitely welcome skills to help to build a compost loo, compost... more inside

This is a beautiful old Scottish house nestled in the woods to the south of the island of Gigha. I run it myself (but kept company by Luna the springador!) as a B&B and also run music retreats, or indeed hope to run any kind of retreat as its a tranquil spot which has a soothing energy.

I moved here in January 2019 and then broke my leg! So am a little behind on all sorts of outside projects. I am setting up an organic veg garden, want to clear land to plant fruit trees, clear space for a self catering pod, clear overgrown trees, and create a forest garden. Oh and wood chopping. Much wood needing processed.
Inside jobs include some painting.

It would be great to have some help and energy and ideas from volunteers. I will cook yummy food and I do also play music. So bring an instrument as its great to play with others.

I will have accommodation in a comfy and cosy caravan in my back garden which you can have to yourself or if I am not busy have spare rooms in the house its... more inside

We have moved into some barns which we converted half into a home and half into an engineering workshop. We are surrounded by spectacular countryside with opportunity for walking and cycling. You would have lots of opportunity to meet people as there are always friends and family visiting so it is a fantastic place to practice english. There is a train station 3 miles away. We have four lovely children aged 10, 9 and 7, and 1, chickens and a vegetable garden.
We have a bedroom and bathroom at the other end of our house so you would have privacy and not be woken up early! We hope to have people who enjoy spending time with children, can help us in the garden and poly tunnel, and help running our busy house hold. (Hanging up washing, help in the kitchen etc)

We are a family of five, urgently looking for an extra pair of hands as I, Laura, have broken my arm and need assistance looking after the kids in particular our one-year-old. Experience with young kids and drivers licence would be preferable.

In return we offer accommodation (own room, own bathroom) & meals in beautiful Guernsey. We live close to the beach and St Peter Port.

We own a beautiful smallholding with woods and lake in Carmarthenshire. We have 3 goats, 2 cats, 3 dogs and 6 horses and I am a qualified Equine Facilitated Learning practitioner. We are looking for one or two people (couple/family) to help out on the land. In particular the woods. We are new to managing woodland so people with experience a bonus! Jobs would vary from chopping wood, clearing paths, mending fencing and general maintenance. As well as help with our garden and veg patches.
Also ongoing creative and animal based projects to get involved in for the right person/people.
Mostly outdoor work so a love and appreciation of nature and the elements essential!
We have only been in this property a few months and have lots of dreams and ideas. However one half of us works full time and the other (me!) would love to find some helpful souls to work alongside.
In exchange we can offer private studio accommodation with own kitchen and bathroom. Hours and other conditions negotia... more inside

We are a family run organic fruit and veg smallholding which is based in the East Neuk of Fife, a short drive south of St. Andrews. We grow organic veg, fruit and flowers, which we sell at a weekly market in Edinburgh. Help required would include weeding, quite a lot of that!, looking after our orchard, and some general maintenance.

This is a 3.5 acre garden. We have hens, goats, cats and dogs.

We are looking for 2 friendly people to help us, working 5 days a week, around 5 hours a day. Accommodation would be a caravan on our grounds, with self catering facilities. Food will be provided. Please contact us if this sounds of interest to you. We are now looking for 1 more helper from August 19 - 30!!

I have recently returned home to the family farm and need your help:) Come and have a wonderful summer on our farm.
We have 50 acres of grassland with 2 jersey house cows. A small herd of shorthorn beef cows and wiltshire horn sheep. We have a couple of glouceser old spot pigs, some chickens and a veg patch. Hello, we are a family living in the countryside near Glasgow (20 minutes by train and bus). We need help in the last week in September and the first week of October. We need help packing up our house as we are moving. The helpers will have their own room and access to the kitchen and WiFi and all home comforts. The work is all indoors although some gardening is available if you'd like. It's easy work and we will help you with what to do.
We're a nice easy going family and have had helpers stay with us before.

I am always looking for someone (or two) with basic landscaping skills, and basic carpentry skills. I enjoy having couples to stay, as they are a bit more independent. This summer I am looking for a couple (or singleton) to help me in the garden as I am having an outdoor dining room constructed and there will be some tidying up to do. There will also be a little interior decorating to do. I would supervise and work alongside you.

I had a very positive experience five years ago with my first HelpXer who in 10 weeks transformed
my garden from a builder's site into a lovely lawned gadren.Since then I have had a regular stream of marvellous young people.

I am a good cook. You will have a room and bathroom to yourself in my comfortable house. I am quite social and will include you in the social network in the area.

My house is a few miles from the coast, nature reserve etc and these are a short bike ride away. Yoxford is a charming village with 2 pubs, 2 good restaurants, and ... more inside
