We converted a 200 year old coach house into our home. It is set in a wooded valley by the sea, 12km from Kinsale and about 25km from Cork, in Southern Ireland. Help always needed with general maintenance, stone work, carpentry, painting, woodland management, vegetable patch and garden or whatever project is going on. We have 2 grown up kids, two dogs, one cat. Sara is a ceramicist and Gidi sells his Middle Eastern food in three local farmers' markets and at festivals. We both work from home. We can offer a nice big room ensuite with wifi and good food. As we have a small house we usually offer short term stays (c.2 weeks).
At present we have a lot of trees down after Ophelia and could gladly do with some help clearing, cutting, tidying...
so do get in touch if that sort of outdoor work appeals, thanks

We work in exchange for room and board. There is no stipend or anything like that. Typically we share rooms, two to a room. So two of you would be in the same room in an apartment next to the stables. We work 35 hours a week with two days off during the busy summer season and though the hours are less during the winter there is still a fair amount of yard maintenance in addition to the basic horse care and treks. In Spring we will be getting ready for the busy season, so It is a fun group of people and a good working environment. We work hard but have a good time doing it.
If you are interested please send details of your horse riding experience and any qualifications you have for example first aid and horse care courses you have completed. We also require interns who wish to ride to furnish us with a copy of their personal accident insurance prior to your arrival at Dingle horse riding.

We have a family-run Bed & Breakfast on the beautiful island of Inishturk.

Our house is a hive of activity during the summer months as we have a lot of guests, therefore we require some help.
You will be made very welcome in our home where myself and husband Bill raised our 6 children.
We treat our guests as family and we will naturally do the same with you!
There is a wonderful family atmosphere in our house and can be quite busy at times with both family and guests.
We require help with housekeeping and accommodation and if you are a couple there plenty of odd jobs to be done outside.

In your free time, our island has a lot to offer: beautiful scenic walks, 2 beautiful sandy beaches and a lively atmosphere in our Community Club. There are many events and festivals on the island throughout the summer.
Our island webpage is www.inishturkisland.com

Hi there. Exploring the Wild atlantic Way, or looking for an Irish family cultural experience?

If you enjoy a family environment, and are fit and relatively experienced it would be great to have your help at Little House (mostly garden but some DIY/renovation if skilled) In exchange you get food and board and a welcome into our Irish family ways. We look for about 20 hours of help a week and encourage you to use your free time to explore all that West Cork has to offer. (we can lend you a bike)
Note: we have 2 dogs, a cat and live in a quiet rural area. We are non smokers and enjoy a varied meat based healthy diet. We also drink alcohol occassionally.
While we do have wifi, it is limited to the main house (the Bothy is too far from the wifi to work).
Check out what other Helpx have to say about us/Little House.

My name is Suzanne, I run a B&B and a farm in Doolin. We are located between Doolin and Lisdoonvarna where we welcome volunteers, 20 years upwards (not older than 50), to help in the daily running of the house.

We would love the volunteer to be available for around 25 hours in the week to help meet the guests and show them to their rooms and help with light household duties. Volunteers can have two days off at their leisure time along with the wonderful long summer evenings where the volunteer can spend exploring the wonderful countryside and the west of Ireland. There is an abundance of facilities and places of interest in the vacinity of our farmhouse some to include the magnificant Doolin Cave, Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, the Burren and many more places of interst along with a wonderful nightlife in the local pubs in Lisdoonvarna & Doolin. Volunteers will also enjoy the Irish culture and be involved first hand and learn the Irish farm way of living.

In the house we accommodate for Air bnb and need help maintaining the rooms. Also outside we have a vegetable garden and grass etc that needs to be kept. We also keep a chicken and a dog named Indy. Most of the work required is to do with the garden but you will be guided as to what to do.
During your time off there is a lot to see and do in the area. We have bike that can be used to get around so helpers need to be ok with that. We play music also so at night if you are keen there is usually a session or a gig on in the bars that you can come along to... and join in if you'd like.
