We have a large veg plot, mixed fruit trees, chickens, bees and 13 sheep. Although not certified organic we use no sprays or chemical fertalizers and are keen to protect our surrounding wildlife.
This is very much a family enterprise with every body mucking in, especially for the larger jobs like lambing and haymaking.
Tasks can include weeding,pruning,pest control,
planting, shearing, haymaking, fruit picking, all depending on the season.
We are also interested in any body with experience of caring for the elderly. My father has parkinsons and early onset dementia although he's very much still involved in the daily running of things we'd be grateful for any one who'd be prepared to get involved in the domestic chores. There's always plenty of mouths to feed and fresh food to be prepared.

Full board and accommodation is provided. You'd be expected to work around 4/5 hours daily.

The part of suffolk we live in is great for walking and cycling,(we have bikes etc you can borrow).... more inside

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU APPLY TO WORK WITH US:

I have recently moved to Draycott, Somerset - beautiful area in the Mendip Hills - area of outstanding natural beauty, 2 miles from Cheddar (town Cheddar cheese is named after and famous for Cheddar Gorge). There are lots of lovely walks in the area.

Hello HelpXers - If there is anyone out there, available NOW, with a seriously healthy appetite and a great work ethic who likes to indulge in a good amount of meat, fish and eggs then please get in touch as I have more food than I frankly know what to do with! I'm looking for someone to do roughly four hours per day, five days per week (weekends off). More suited to someone with their own transport as we are a long way from town, although we do have some spectacular views to enjoy! Thus if you enjoy walking / hiking then this could well be the place for you. You will need to be physically fit or prepared to hurt for a few days until your muscles learn! If you are knowledgeable in the equine arena so much the better, but if not, no worries as I am happy to teach you everything I've learnt over the last forty odd years. I prefer longer stays to shorter ones - with a minimum of two weeks. Please DO NOT contact me if you are expecting central heating, cleanliness everywhere and someone... more inside

I am slowly setting up an organic permaculture farm on 2.6 acres near the North coast of Cornwall. We will be camping in tents, with 1 space in a caravan during the summer while we create an edible forest garden, a no-dig market garden, plant trees, make paths, clear brambles, tend our beehive, and learn about growing food. Solar power available for occasional internet and movie nights, but the field is very basic so self-sufficient types only please. I am working in care to pay for this so will be working with you at least 3 days a week, up to 7.
We will be carrying with building and insulating our large shed/cabin, plus establishing beds for a no-dig market garden.
Surfboard/bodyboard/kayak available for use, with kitchen in caravan and collected drinking water, and rainwater for showers in the polytunnel.
I'm no slave driver - we'll balance out work with chill time on the land and at the beaches all around us. We're sited on a popular cycle route.

Hello,
My name is Ania and I live in Oxford. Iíll be going away by the end of May(27th of May till 8th of June 2018). I would like to find someone for this duration to look after my dog Gustav. He is a very well behaved dog and loves people. Youíd be responsible to look after him, taking him for an hour walk around 1pm and another one around 5pm. Oxford has a lot to offer, there are a few museums, great pubs and a good music scene. You can take Gustav to the pub too, many of them allow dogs. You would be staying in my room. There are two lodgers in the house who are very friendly but they both working full time so I canít ask them to look after my dog. It would be a great opportunity for someone who wants to explore Oxford because youíll have a lot of time in between. The accommodation would be of course free but youíd have to pay for your own food hence there is no actual work that needs to be done, you just need to like dogs!
If you have any questions please donít hasitate to ... more inside
