The house was built in the 1950's and over looks the Huon River.Although I'm not an organic farm I use organic practices and encourage wild life on to the land. The garden is quite large with fruit trees.I live on my own with my cat and dog and need help to maintain the house and grounds.I am involved in several community organizations which a visitor may find interesting.I am also happy to take them on walks and to places of interest.I am sorry that I cannot provide a second visa.

Hi, Donny, Stacey, Elle-Mae and Molly welcome you to come and stay with us on our small farm in Copping. We have a few cows, sheep, pigs, chooks, heaps of birds, rabbits and a very friendly chatty cat called Puss and a dog that thinks he is part of the family and loves sleeping on the couch!

We are a short distance from the very beautiful Marion Bay Beach and a hot surfing spot. Copping is also on the edge of a gorgeous forest where you can go for picturesque walks. I live in a 3b house on a good sized suburban block in the northern suburbs of Hobart.. The yard has lots of potential for developing a produce rich & native filled garden. Projects to this end include rebuilding a small garden shed; constructing a chook house & run; preparing veg beds; planting & mulcing native beds; paving & preparing an area for a possible transportable room.
The house is close to transport, shops, MONA & the bush.
Helpers with some gardening/building skill would be welcome to stay & offer their skills in exchange for a room, food & bed. Length of stay negotiable. Non-smokers please.

We live in a passive solar, straw bale house on two acres of land that runs down to the North West Bay estuary. We have planted lots of Tasmanian native plants, a small orchard and a veggie patch. As our garden is fairly recently established there is lots of weeding and mowing. Other work includes house maintenance and general housework. Richard works in Hobart at the bureau of meteorology, about 30 kilometers away and I am semi-retired and love cooking and being in my garden. We enjoy meeting new people and hearing about peoples adventures and their experiences of the world. We are happy to have people stay at any time of year On a first stay with us we usually restrict visits to a week or so and during that time try to ensure a trip to Salamanca Market and a day trip to MONA or Bruny island. Please make sure you have strong shoes or gumboots for mowing in and old clothes that can get really dirty if you come to stay with us. We also love food and enjoy trying new recipes.

I have just moved to my house in Snug, a village 25 min south of Hobart. My front yard is a tidal river, 10 min walk or kayak to a beautiful beach. I need help with creating a garden and maybe odd jobs in the house. Meals mainly vegetarian and I love to cook! Accommodation in your own room with a double bed, there is also a single bed in the back room.
Why I love it here? The amazing bird life around the river and bush, that I can drop my kayak in the river and paddle to the beach, swim and kayak back! The beautiful coastal and beach walks in this area. Being so close to Hobart,an incredibly beautiful city.

Hi. I have a lovely little house in the hills of south Hobart. I am looking for helpers that have some building experience to help around the property and house. I am wanting to start up an organic garden, build a fence ect.
I would be expecting 4 hours work a day in exchange for accommodation and food. Workers are welcome to take the weekends off to explore Hobart and Tasmania.
Im in to hiking, the ocean, mountain bike riding and socialising with friends. I have extensive bush walking experience so will be able to give you good tips of beautiful places to go.
