We live in a passive solar, straw bale house on two acres of land that runs down to the North West Bay estuary. We have planted lots of Tasmanian native plants, a small orchard and a veggie patch. As our garden is fairly recently established there is lots of weeding and mowing. Other work includes house maintenance and general housework. Richard works in Hobart at the bureau of meteorology, about 30 kilometers away and I am semi-retired and love cooking and being in my garden. We enjoy meeting new people and hearing about peoples adventures and their experiences of the world. We are happy to have people stay at any time of year On a first stay with us we usually restrict visits to a week or so and during that time try to ensure a trip to Salamanca Market and a day trip to MONA or Bruny island. Please make sure you have strong shoes or gumboots for mowing in and old clothes that can get really dirty if you come to stay with us. We also love food and enjoy trying new recipes.

I have just moved to my house in Snug, a village 25 min south of Hobart. My front yard is a tidal river, 10 min walk or kayak to a beautiful beach. I need help with creating a garden and maybe odd jobs in the house. Meals mainly vegetarian and I love to cook! Accommodation in your own room with a double bed, there is also a single bed in the back room.
Why I love it here? The amazing bird life around the river and bush, that I can drop my kayak in the river and paddle to the beach, swim and kayak back! The beautiful coastal and beach walks in this area. Being so close to Hobart,an incredibly beautiful city.

We are living in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. The area is surrounded by lakes and a big attraction is the trout fishing. We are in the final stages of building an energy efficient house and would love to meet helpers and have their assistance with some jobs at the building site. Probably best if the helper has practical skills and is able to assist with the completion of our project with painting and other work. The area has lovely natural scenery with plenty of wildlife sometimes at our front door.
Come and enjoy life in the highlands, see the wildlife, meet local people and be comfortably accommodated in a modern house. Also have the chance to learn fly fishing.

We live in South Hobart, down by the little river that runs off the mountain, easy walking distance to town, and beautiful views of Mt Wellington. We live in a big old house with a large garden. We are currently building a yoga studio in our back yard. So far the cement slab has been poured and now we are ready to build. There is also lots of landscaping to be done. We are looking for people willing to help on this building project. It will be interesting, enjoyable work.
We will make sure you enjoy yourself, have plenty of time to explore the surroundings, relax, and have plenty of laughs.
