Situated out in the bush in the Snowy Mountains, we combine teaching horse riding and horsemanship with horse breaking, retraining and trail riding.
It is a half-hour drive each way to Cooma where the nearest shops are. Our place is a quiet place, with one, two, or sometimes three helpers here at a time; we are older people and like it quiet.

We wish to attract people dedicated to developing an understanding of horsemanship and although experienced and competent riders are a bonus to us, complete novices are welcome. All helpers will have the opportunity to have a riding lesson almost every day,(there may be occasions when this is not possible); skilled riders maybe encouraged to ride more than one horse each day... (which will then be considered part of their work). Also helpers will enjoy trail rides through our unique mountain scenery.

We need to point out that a basic knowledge of English is essential: perfect pronunciation and grammar is not required; a reasonable vocabu... more inside

Hi, I'm Kyle.

Along with my partner Justin, we live in a 2 year old 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on 20 acres of land located in a conservation area of Wentworth Falls, a town in the lovely Blue Mountains, approximately 90 minutes drive or 120 minutes by train from Sydney.

We are a gay couple (both 37), with a small dog.

We provide accommodation in exchange for some general cleaning as well as gardening (2-3 hours per day) Meals will generally not be provided, however you're welcome to use our fridge and Kitchen to prepare your own meals.

We would prefer gay males who are happy to work both indoors and outdoors and share our house with us.

Please note that our house is clothing optional, please let us know prior if you are or are not happy for this and we will cater for your preference.

We have two rooms available. If you stay with us, you will have your own bedroom and bathroom, plus a guest living area as well as access to the rest of the house.

Our house is a... more inside

Hi! HelpX people are welcome to come and stay to assist with some of the day to day work that arise in this beautiful part of the world.
I would appreciate help with the garden and some building as well as maintaining the land. Wildlife abounds on our community property. We are surrounded by National Park on three sides and the ocean on the fourth. Walk to the beach.
Artists, musicians, gardeners, nature lovers most welcome!

Also doing some occasional maintanance work on a beautiful 30 foot wooden yacht located at Yamba, two and a half hours north of here.

At the moment I'm doing some renovating and would appreciate people who have experience in building. hope to see you soon!

We live on the side of Gulaga Mountain surrounded by Gulaga National Park, half an hours drive to beautiful pristine beaches. A fantastic diverse community surrounds us including permaculture, artists, healers, musicians and more. I live in a small cottage and am building a rammed earth and straw infill small house. Nick lives in a mud brick house on our shared land in the forest. We are solar powered and mostly self sufficient, mountain water, veggies, eggs, meat, jun, (even Nicks home brew!) Help needed with gardening, animal care, scything, firewood collection, clearing regrowth bush, help with building... building skills a big plus (or come and learn skills) Accommodation in cosy loft, surrounded by nature. Quiet location, appreciation of nature and sitting around a fire a must! We are half way between Narooma and Bega on the south coast of NSW.

Small acreage on the NSW Central Coast, 25mn by car to the beach, not far from the trains and the shops.

We’re active Permaculturists in the local community and we organically produce most of our food. My wife is a nutrition therapist and can provide free consultations.

We need someone to assist us with every day tasks like vegie garden maintenance, feeding poultry, brush-cutting, slashing paddocks, etc. We also have a couple of interesting projects planned.
We need someone reasonably fit and handy. We prefer someone quiet who doesn't smoke.

Accommodation in a furnished self-contained unit with:
- Modern bathroom
- Kitchenette
- Carport
- WiFi
- TV & DVD player
- Air conditioner

We don't provide meals but we only request 3 hours of work per day, 5 days a week.

We want someone who can stay for at least 6 months, so this would better suit a local than a backpacker. No short stays please.

Welcome to our sanctuary in one of the most beautiful parts of Australia - an ancient caldera alive with world heritage rainforests, stunning mountains, clear swimmable streams, and the highest biodiversity of flora and fauna along with the greatest concentration of artists, musicians, healers, environmentalists, and creatives on the continent...

We live in a yellow dairy with a sweet little cabin for you (in the photos) that also doubles as a library, so great if you're a bibliophile! Speaking of which we all love stories (me, my two teenage kids - 13 and 15, and a venerable Golden Retriever), and we'll want to learn about your life and share stories.

I'm a writer and teacher and a big part of enjoying hosting is about including you in the daily chaos of family life - fake sword fighting, swims in the waterhole, vying to get a word in edgewise at the dinner table, and any talents or skills or interests you have which you'd like to share with us. (The kids have put in a spec... more inside

We are a family of 3 living on a beautiful property close to Bellingen town. We are on the East Coast, our nearest beach is 15 mins away. Bellingen is a vibrant town with a close knit, creative community. Mark is working and studying and jude is a stay at home mum. Lev is a happy go lucky 5 year old.

We have 18 acres which needs some level of attention - we are currently spending time doing bush regeneration and establishing gardens which we would love help with. We would also need help with general property maintenance and child care. Our son lev enjoys interaction with other people and we like the idea of having folks from all around the world visit. There is much to explore in our area with pristine rivers, beaches and forests. We enjoy nature and bush and beach walks and swimming in the summer months.

We have a comfortable newly renovated 3 bedroom house and are flexible with what we can offer. Our preference would be shorter stays of a few days to a week. We are happy to... more inside

Do you love animals? Especially pigs? We are a small vegan farm animal sanctuary and a registered charity.. We offer refuge, rehoming and rescue to neglected, homeless or vulnerable traditionally farmed animals. These include rescue pigs, goats, sheep, bobby calves, turkeys, ducks, chickens, lots of roosters and seven rescue foxes (we have permits for these). The animals free range around the property and are very friendly. I need help with the day to day running of the sanctuary, the work is not hard and there are no super early starts. Tasks often include bottle feeding animals, goat cuddles, socialising the foxes, basic healthcare, shoveling up manure, checking water troughs, giving the animals attention and tidying up outside. Accomodation is in an outside room located a minutes walk from the main house or a cute retro caravan. Share bathroom. Volunteer lounge and kitchenette in the house. Excellent WIFI. Volunteers stay for 2 weeks minimum and may stay longer. The property is... more inside
