We are a young family of 4 and have recently purchased a little piece of paradise. Our main objective is to turn our 8 acres into a productive space based on permaculture principles to try and achieve a certain level of self sufficiency. We have sheep, beef, chickens, bees and fish in the dams, as well as a little dogs.
Spring is busy with sowing/planting vegetables. We are currently expanding the veggie garden, making bio-char and compost, renovating the house and installing a solar hot water system.
Can pick up from Albury/Wodonga.

Hi,
We are on a 60 acre farm in the out skirts of Melbourne.
50 minutes from the CBD in a N/E direction.
My husband & 3 children have lived here for 17 yrs.
We have 28 horses & 3 agistees.
It's a busy farm and never a dull moment.
We have chickens, 3 dogs, 1 rabbit & 1 Guinea pig but predominantly horses. There are many different disciplines that horses & riders compete in from eventing, dressage, endurance, showing & trail.
We live in the green wedge to Melbourne with the kinglake ranges in close riding distance. There is abundant wildlife from kangaroos, wombats, foxes, owls, deer & oodles of bird life.
We need an energetic, dynamic person who can use their initiative and work without much supervision. Someone who is motivated, creative and full of life to start. Room, board, pocket money & ride available.
Drivers license necessary.
Experience helps & speaking English also essential
Start date 14th September - 14th October 2018 or longer!

A friendly, happy family household in the beautiful seaside town of Red Hil South. Surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and sweeping ocean views.

We would like assistance mainly with childcare of James's beautiful 15 month old grandson who he is currently the primary carer of, along with some light household chores and maybe some gardening if that is something that interests those that stay.

We are open to one person at a time staying with us.

An arrangement of around 25 hours work a week in exchange for food and accommodation. We can cook some meals and also supply food for you to cook for yourself if one of us is not cooking.

You would have either a large 22 foot caravan to yourself which we are currently decking out and is getting more awesome each day ...or if you prefer your own comfortable room in our spacious 5 bedroom home.

You could feel free to eat together with us or have more of your own space if you would prefer that, or a mix of both.

We are happy... more inside

We have a 26 acre farm, 2.5km from the centre of Beechworth. We eat seasonally from our garden which provides us with most of our vegetables and eggs. We practice the Australian Demeter Biodynamic Method. Our current home garden has been influenced by Linda Woodrow's "The Permaculture Home Garden". This summer we plan to sell seedlings and vegetables. We will be building a strawbale round guesthouse in Summer 2018. We will also be working to set up a market garden that will be approximately 2 acres in size.

Help needed includes all aspects of vegetable growing (preparing beds, sowing seeds, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, preserving and seed saving) and general farm work (eg fencing, setting up and maintaining irrigation and infrastructure). We have 2 creeks from which we are currently removing blackberries and weeds. If interested and skilled, we would also like help with building the strawbale house and yurt with living roofs. As we are establishing a working farm, some wo... more inside

I I'll need someone for at least 6 weeks from end of August. You help will help for few hours a day look after my son, cook sometimes... And you can do something else and found a job outside the hours we will agree on. I will offer you your daily meal.

We are a family farm business with stud and commercial sheep. We have other animals on the farm including some Maremma dogs, working dogs, some cows, chooks and lots of native wildlife! Please see our website for more information and photos. Join us as a member of our family, and we can all learn and enjoy every day :-)

Looking for easy going people to allow our kids to experience your cultures and develop long term friends and or memories for them as well as us. Don't be afraid to ring or send a text message.

We always have things to do on the farm or around the house and garden and its always more enjoyable having someone to share it with.

Please note, we do not live in Melbourne, we live on the farm and this is how we enjoy it. We are 2.5 hours from Melbourne but are only a short trip to the Grampians, Port Fariy, the wine areas, and much more to explore.

No more than 4 hours help per day. Own bedroom and bathroom for helper. I need garden maintenance that will involve weeding and pruning. All equipment here. Must love dogs. One large poodle lives here who loves people. If there are two of you, please pay for some of your food.

We are an easy going, happy home with very correct English spoken here and can help in that department. We are well travelled. Mount Eliza is on the Nepean Peninsula side of Port Phillip Bay. Affectionately called the 'Riviera of Melbourne'. Wineries abound and also racehorse breeding. Great coastline to visit. At the end of the Nepean Peninsula is Portsea about 30 minutes from here by bus. So much to see. Bay one side and some of the best surf on the other.

Our home is a short walk to bus 15 mins ride connecting to train to the city of Melbourne, 1 hour away. Close to beaches and shops. Mount Eliza is a village, all major banks and PO. Great alfresco and bistros. Also close to Mornington wit... more inside

Looking for a young woman or two to dogsit a new puppy from the 12th of August. Chutney the spoodle (cocker spaniel cross poodle) will be eleven weeks and needs a dedicated dog-loving helpx to provide backup care.

Chutney will primarily be the responsibility of my teen daughter but since she goes to school we hope to find someone who can care for Chutney when my daughter canít.

Being a devoted puppy auntie is your primary responsibility but we also hope you can help with light domestic duties (cleaning and cooking). I work long hours in Melbourne so imagine my post would attract someone who is independent and possibly needing some time out from the pace of life on the road.

About me. I am an anthropologist (I have provided a link to my website) and have hosted wwoofers for many years in a town near Ballarat. I now live in a central part of Ballarat (which is just over an hour from Melbourne by train). Ballarat is cold at this time of year but I have good heating in ... more inside
