I'm a 41 year old guy from Germany living in France for the past 10 Years. With the urge to leave a good footprint on this planet and make the world a bit nicer within my possibilities. I am still working on the creation of paradise, and I do accept with a smile that this is going to take all the years to come. And that it is going a lot of work.

And after all the years and some quite hard times I got a lot from it: I never felt younger at heart and in mind, I met amazing people. And the most important I had to learn, is that there is a lot in this world going wrong that I can't change. But there is a lot I am able to change. And this made me a luckier person!

There are 4 old stone houses that I rent out for holidays, and there is some land to be taken care of. So there is always something to do, depending on the time of the year and the skills you can offer! I'm always happy to have some nice people around, like the exchange and a good atmosphere, a dinner with a good conver... more inside

We live on the edge of the 'black mountains' which is an area great for exploring with many old monasteries and castles not to mention a land dedicated to vineyards and wine! Our nearest town Carcassonne has one of the oldest medieval castles in Europe and many people come from worldwide to visit.
Our house is an old mill and is set in what's called a 'domaine'- we have 15 acres which consist of woodland, fields and a river. We can provide clean, comfortable accommodation in one of our wooden chalets (with all amenities incl. wifi) in return for gardening, painting, cleaning and pet sitting.
You need to be resourceful as you will be spending most of the week with the doggies whilst we are away working in Spain - we leave Monday afternoon and are back Friday evening. When we are around, we would be happy to take guests into town or to catch the train from Bram to places further afield - such as Carcassonne or Toulouse, well worth a day trip and a change of scene!
We are happy ... more inside

We have a gite/B&B located in the Ariege department of the French Pyrenees, close to the town of Tarascon sur Ariege, where there is a train station. Well positioned for rock climbing, walking, biking. We can generally hook you up with other climbers and we have mountain bikes you can borrow. We are happy to drop you off at places to help you make the most of your time off.
We like to think we are an easy going family. We have two children, aged 10 and 12. We would like you to work for 4 hours a day, two days on, one day off. Work will probably be in the mornings. We can be somewhat flexible with this if you have a particular project or activity you want to do.
The work is out on our land: helping develop our "no-dig" veggie patch, digging out brambles and nettles, strimming, landscaping, planting trees, sorting fences, putting in rustic steps, cutting grass. We welcome your ideas, and for the DIY capable there is plenty to go at. Its in a beautiful, peaceful sunny spot with a v... more inside

I'm Emma, a Galician/Mexican girl (34 y.o.) I live with my sun Natan (french-Galician-Mexican, 7 years old), and our cat Nawak (8years old ;) at a cosy apartment in the pretty village of Les Junies, near (by car) from services and a lot of heritage interesting points. The apartment is bright and overlooks our little garden, the pretty little park of the village and the Castle of Les Junies (look photos!)

All around, trees, forest, nature, and some pretty ancient stone houses!!

We love to meet new people. talk, laugh! sing!!

Music is very important in my life, but not very present yet, so I'd like to musicalize my/our life/s! :)
We have some musical instruments at home and the possibility to loan some others for free at the "Médiathèque de Toulouse"...

I love cooking when I have free time... (some Mexican-Galician food, and mostly, "Emma's inventions"! ). We eat vegetarian and organic as often as we can, if you want or need another type of meal we can talk ab... more inside

As usual, we have more jobs than hands :-). We finished the kitchen in on of the vacation houses and are ready for take-off to build the tiny houses and two outdoor kitchens!

Also, if you are more interested in maintenance of the premises (garden work), you are more than welcome!

We are a Durch family of 4, who has lived in France since 1992 in an old property in the Poitou-Charentes. Jan (1947), Beer (1962), Charlotte (1995 - now in Paris) and Norah (2004). Both Jan and Beer work in their home office to prepare the teaching jobs. Beer just wrote a book about "Digital Hospitality" (in French). Besides our regular jobs, we are managing three self-catering accommodations and a small campground. Thus we alter office work with "down to earth"-work on the premises and on the buildings, that we are restoring forever, so it seems!

We are a bunch of laughing people who love to debate on a whole range of issues. We are used to receiving people (as tourist professionals but also pri... more inside
