Hello to you traveler,
My husband (Antoine) and I (Thelma) traveled for a year in New Zealand. There, we made HelpX as guests. This allowed us to meet beautiful people and really discover the local culture. So we decided, when we came back, to become hosts in France.
We live in the countryside of Nantes / Rennes in a house with a small garden. My husband works in a sawmill and I work in a factory that makes madeleines. We have two hens and a cat with 3 kittens. We have a little vegetable garden. I am passionated about creations, I craft jewels, catch dreams and sew pockets.
We want to make you discovering the local culture of our region and the French culture.
We are ready to make you visit in the district (as far as possible because I can work at night), to lodge and to feed you (morning and evening) in exchange for a few hours of work per day. We will need help in the tasks of the house and in the garden.
We can accommodate to 2 people but we only have one double bed, you wou... more inside

Please note, alcohol is not included.

We are Simon (48 years old, ex-timber framer with a small recycling business) and Frauke (53 years old, musician and amateur film maker), with two grown up daughters, both of whom are studying art, and home from time to time. Living in the beautiful Gers countryside (between Bordeaux and Toulouse), we have a large organic garden and orchard. We have a very cute dog, cats and some geese with occasional aggression management issues.
We are looking for four hours help a day in the house, garden, and with the odd building project. No experience is necessary but smiles & enthusiasm are always welcome! We have a large wood and metal workshop, bicycles that can be borrowed, internet access available, a ping pong table, and in the summer a small swimming pool. As for accommodation, we have a room in the house or a caravan in the garden to offer. Hello Dear Helpers

??Let me introduce you me, the Villa and what I’m expecting from you. ?

I’m a quiet smiling direct and actif woman. I play hard and work hard too. I'm over fifty, single, with a dog-a kind of shepperd- and my children are living close. People usualy say I'm easy living. I love CS'ing, music, photography, street art, talking, enjoying life as much as possible and I can be silent too. Most of the time, I'm running the house alone. ?I’ll be working with you and never ask you something I’m not used to do. ??
The Villa is a big Mas in Aix en Provence, just at the border of the city. Almost the country side at a walking distance from the center. ??The house is really nice, comfortable, big quiet and the garden is wild.
I offer a private room with a very confortable bed, breakfast and lunch. If there are some other helpers, you will share the same bathroom.

?I need to keep the house highly clean and in order, few little works of painting, fixing stuff and ga... more inside

Help with gardening needed for a week or two.

200 year old stone farmhouse in the Drome Provencale: north of Provence, in the foothills of the Alps. Cotes du Rhone wine production; Nyons olives; great walking and cycling (the Tour de France passes by every couple of years en route to Mont Ventoux). Rural - but the market town of Nyons with bars and cinema and weekly market is only 8km away. House has wifi, pool, central heating. It operates as whole house rental in the summer, and a mixture of bnb, seminars, smaller rentals out of the main season.

Help required depends on the season and the occupancy (It's unlikely that we can accommodate you between July and August) and the sort of project and skills that our helpers bring. It can include range from help in the house and the permaculture garden through to renewing crumbling terracing, landscaping projects, redecorating.

Ability to work on own initiative a must.

Please remember that Helpxing works on an equal commitment... more inside

We live in a beautiful part of France, and we are looking for flexible independent helpers, to help us.
We are looking for help at the moment to restore a barn, we would like to joint and render à stone wall with lime rendering. We are also in the middle of finishing off insulation and installation of a ceiling. The garden also needs some work, weeding, trimming, cutting, etc. as well as some painting/restoration work on the buildings and garden furniture .
Building or gardening experience is valued, but common sense and good attitude are always a plus. Some of the work can be physically demanding, but we find something to do for everyone.

In exchange for 4_5 hours a day, we offer accommodation and meals with us, and hopefully some nice evenings learning new stuff, and having a laugh.
St Jean de Paracol is a very small village, with a good atmosphere and with plenty of great places around to visit, particularly for those who enjoy walking.

Hello travelers,
I am the proud owner of a historic castle from the 15th century, situated in the middle of the countryside of Burgundy.
If the building is habitable as it is, the gardens and grounds require substantial work that I can not carry out alone.
The walls need to be stripped of their invasiveness ivy, dry stone walls of the paths are partially collapsed, trails are not passable overgrown, fruit plantations are to be undertaken, etc. ...
Accommodation in the castle or in tents, bicycles available, wireless internet.
If you have skills in wood or building you are more than welcome.

The Next Operation of tree planting is scheduled in November 2019.
September,October open.
.
We are relatively isolated 10 km from shops and 40 minutes north of Dijon.
Simplicity, sincerity.
