-----from 10th October until 31st October----

we are in Mareeba near CAIRNS. Working Family of 4 (1 year + 4 year old) looking for very trust worthy people to help around the house with a MEGA spring clean and in the garden with getting it all freshened up. Ride on-mowing and whipper-snipper(experience in this would be great!!!!!), looking after the pool, looking after dogs.

We have a very spacious self contained granny flat, with private patio. Close to the small town of Mareeba (60km from CAIRNS), but far enough to be out in the bush. There isn't anything at walking distance so own transport is best. Fantastic area in the Far North Queensland to explore.

We are easy going and looking for just around 2-4 hours of work a day in return for free accommodation and some family evening meals, so you will need to look after the rest of your food. Beautiful 30 acre property, with a pool, creek, use of canoes. Get to see the Australian wild life just here in the back yard, with pl... more inside

Hey!

We invite you to Drakenforst, our pocket of paradise in the Sunshine coast hinterlands between Noosa and Eumundi, in the realm between the earth (ten and a half acres thereof) and the sky (at least 32 clouds worth).
Amongst our trees and creek we’ve built a stone villa, wood and metal and jewellery working shops, humble homes, art and music studio spaces and gypsy wagon.

We’re a funky collective of peoples made up of extended family and willing ‘adoptees’ seeking to temporarily adopt one or two extras to help out with a few funky projects.

Tasks and people you will work with can vary from day to day. Some of the things you could jump in and give us a hand with involve:

-carpentry and general building
-masonry
-gardening (soil sorcery, bedding, weed warrioring,) Native and Seasonal
- general property maintenance (keeping that riff-raff grass in line)
- general household duties (herding dust bunnies, etc.)
- online stuff (photography and/site building for a... more inside

We are hobby farmers (in our fifties) on a timbered block of land with a creek running through. We have a lot of animals: a few cattle, horses, pigs, ducks, chickens, dogs and cats and sometimes sheep. We also have a garden with fruit trees and native shrubs. It is a quiet place with lots of native birds, but we are only 5 minutes off the Bruce Highway and only 15 minutes from Rockhampton.

The house is new, clean and comfortable, and the surroundings pleasant.

We provide a good variety of food, and we are not vegetarian.

There is always a lot of different jobs here: feeding animals, watering the fruit trees, maybe stacking timber/branches out in the paddock. We expect about 5 hours of work per day - the work is not hard. We are flexible with hours, you might want to work some longer days, and take a day off.

We are easy to find if you come by car, and we can pick you up from Rockhampton if you come by bus, train or plane.

It may be a couple of days before we can ... more inside
