Hi, My name is Emma and I am a 33-year-old mother of 3, We live on a busy dairy farm and have 3 small children 2 boys and a girl (5, 3 1/2 and 18 months).
We would love someone to come and stay with us in September. A long stay would be great for us but willing to look at short stays too.
Duties would include helping me with the housework and looking after the children. We have just moved to a new house so are busy making it our own.
You would have your own bedroom off the playroom. The room is suitable for one person only.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact us.
A driving licence is a plus as we live in quite a remote area with very little public transport.

The area we live in is beautiful with beaches, castles and heritage sites close by.

I would love help with my long narrow garden which opens onto another larger area of land where I have a polytunnel and raised beds. I have 4 very shy cats who sleep in the conservatory/studio. I am a non-smoking vegetarian/vegan and love preparing food, so you would be well fed - all meatless meals :-)
I have only just signed up on Helpx so for now I can't think of anything else you might want to know. Please contact me if you have any questions and are interested in a week or so in Killyleagh - and see some of this area on the shores of Strangford Lough.

They are holiday accomodation and have been renovated somewhat but there are more buildings to finish renovating, maintenance to be done and garden maintenance, as the area is beautiful but substantial. We are looking for ideally a couple or a couple of friends who are interested in building work, restoration, can help run the holiday lets from Easter to September so cleaning / laundry. We dont live on site so it wiuld be better to have company, possibly. We live in Ladys Island about 3km away, the nearest villafe. Check us out it is a magical spot. A developing residential arts centre that needs a variety of skills in volunteers to help become a reality. We are doing a lot of stone building, landscaping and there are always things to do in the garden. Anyone with carpentry skills, especially with a creative eye, is very welcome. Its lively here sometimes, especially in the summer months, I have WWOOFers as well as SERVAS visitors and a variety of friends constantly coming and going. Everybody is included as part of the family, visitors mainly stay in caravans and have a small converted shed as a relaxation room/kitchen etc. There is quite a good music scene locally, and at home at times! We sometimes all eat together, sometimes helpers cook for themselves. All the food I prepare is vegetarian, but I'm told its very good!
Specifically right now I am looking for a ‘House Elf’ – if they came along with a carpenter that would be great! But no slavery – you get given a pair of socks on arrival! ?

This is an ideal place to stay when exploring this most beautiful, hidden part of Ireland's rugged south west coast. Local tourist attractions include boat trips to the Skellig Rock also known as Skellig Michael, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the iconic McCarthy, the Gaeltacht village of Dungegan or ‘Dun Geagan’ in Irish, is home to a restored thatched cottage and a pre-famine village Cill Rialaig, now used as an International Artists and Writers Retreat or you might just want to indulge in and visit The Skellig Chocolate Factory amidst the awe-inspiring scenery around here.

You can stay for free in a room for helpers in exchange for 4 hours a day (5 days a week) of general duties (housekeeping, beds, small maintenance tasks. Reception work might also be available. I would need helpers to commit for a minimum of 2 weeks, Please note that food is not included and that there is no remuneration being paid. This is 100 per cent volunteer work but it is also all about good times! ... more inside

Niamh and Con's farm is host to Celtic Druid Temple in North West Roscommon, 7km outside of Castlerea town. 16 acres of land with 12acres planted in Native woodland. The Temple has a wooden roundhouse and we are also developing a medieval style rath. The aim is to develop the woodland and buildings and open them for community enjoyment. We are guided by the principles of environmental sustainability and renewable energy, producing all our own electricity from Solar and Wind Power. We also have an off grid tertiary reed bed system. The main building is insulated with hemp and lime on the walls, sheep wool in the attic and underfloor heating connected to the stove. The Temple promotes comprehending and cooperating with nature. We do not use any toxic chemicals on the land and all our activities are guided by organic and forest garden principals. We start with supporting soil health and follow the abundance from there.

We can host up to 5 volunteers. Accommodation is temporarily in ... more inside
