We are a couple (Christine 29 and Adrien, 40)with a baby boy.Our farm is located in a beautiful place into the mountains where nature is wild and preserved. We have 30 goats, we grow berries and medicinal herbs. Christine also gathers wild herbs and flowers in order to do healing and eating preparations. We also have 10 donkeys that we need to educate. We are only beginning the farm so we also do bulding jobs (sheds, henhouse...)and cut trees. We need help to look after Basile (the baby boy)and for all the jobs on the farm. Helpers' accomodation and work schedule will depend on the time of the year, meals will be prepared and taken together. There is an internet connection on the farm. We would like the helpers to stay a minimum of 10 days.

We were a group of 5 persons living in yurts in the wet French Pyrenees, the group is now reduced to a couple with 5 children, but our goal is still to have more people living together. We have plenty of rocks and little earth, but our garden already feeds us in the summer. Our 2 donkeys are also willing to help us, but we didn't have enough time to work with them. The yurts are old, and will not last another winter. We already built a strawbale cabin and a larger wooden/straw house - both should be finished this summer (clay coating), and a yurt's stilts are going to be used for another strawbale cabin. So, building is the main activity for now, wood cutting is very needed as well, musicians are very welcome, humor is a must.
We will have either a yurt or a caravan for lodging, depending of how fast we can finish the second house. Vegetarian meals, our own bread at breakfast. We are glad to see people bringing their own inspiration, we like learning from others. We are often busy... more inside

BECAUSE OF CHANGES WE ARE MAKING; WE ARE SORRY TO SAY WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE WORK/ACCOMMODATION IN THIS SPRING/SUMMER AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DO SO FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR (2013).

We are a family with a son, living in a beautiful old 8-hectare farm in the foothills of the central French Pyrenees. We all speak English and French, and some Spanish.

The owners (who are abroad for an extended period) converted the farm to B&B and Group accommodation and we are running and developing the place.

We are particularly looking for people who can help us continue to develop our organic vegetable garden - but also for people who can help us with lots of other tasks round the place (steps, paths, trenches, managing the woodland, fences etc). NOW LOOKING FOR HELP FROM LATE APRIL!!

For about 5 hours of work per day (time off at weekends) we will give you comfortable accommodation, all your meals, use of internet, plenty of French or English practice, and general use of all the facili... more inside

We are an English family of three with a toddler 'Dexter' (born 20/12/2010). We moved to France from Bristol in September 2007. We also have an 18 month old dog - Jazz (boxer-cross) who is full of energy.

Paul is a yoga teacher and teaches in french and English - we have our own yoga studio here and we run Iyengar yoga retreats every year. I am an English teacher. I teach the French army and run English intensives for french children during the holidays. So extra work can be exchanged for either yoga lessons or English lessons - if wanted.

We really enjoy sharing our place with people and want to help make our garden and the surrounding areas feel more established, managed and beautiful.

We have just bought a piece of beautiful woodland and so need help clearing and managing it - to make paths for walks and a tasteful parking area.

We would greatly apppreciate any help (even if just for a few days) to help move on our woodland project. We enjoy meeting new pe... more inside

Living in a fantastic region of France in the foothills of the Pyrenees, near the spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre.
We are a family of 5 with three children 16, 13 and 10.
We are currently trying to renovate our farm house alongside trying to generate an income. We offer a home stay and are looking for help with a number of projects we have here, these include fencing, planting developing and reclaiming land for animals, building work.
We are looking for up to 3 people to help with our place and a couple of other friends as well. Although the helpex program offers us many benefits we are mindful that those that help us need the opportunity to explore the mountains and surrounding areas.
We want to enjoy the experience as much as we hope you will.

We are keen to find people with renovating skills from plastering through decorating, our goal is to finish the renovation of our property it is important to us that there is a balance between work and play with everybody winning.

So with that and our children: Charlie 11yrs, Poppy 6yrs and Isabella 4yrs we are finding it very difficult to renovate our home. We are looking for a person or a couple to help us restore our ancient pigeonnier using your building skills. We have a self-contained caravan in our garden for your stay but are equally happy for you to join in with the family. We are looking for people from May to September.
