A small picturesque farm situated on a river between two big forested national parks in East Gippsland. Witchwood is tucked into the hills just below the Errinundra plateau which is a stronghold of old growth forests.
The settlement of Goongerah has a population of about 40 people, a school, but no shops, TV or mobile reception (it does have satellite internet and landline phones).
The property is run organically and has a large food production and preserving set-up; vegie gardens, orchard, chickens, geese and dairy goats, as well as two Clydesdale horses, two dogs and even free-range guinea pigs in the orchard. Self-sufficient in fruit, veggies, eggs and milk. Still working on chocolate and vegemite.
Have piano but no time to learn - so piano players welcome!
Property is 100% solar powered and has a water wheel for pumping to the hill tank from the river.
A lot of my time is spent working to protect the East Gippsland forests from clearfell logging and woodchipping - a ma... more inside

Welcome to our mixed farm and Vineyard. Approximately 1 hour (by car) east of Melbourne we are located in a peaceful area on the edge of the beautiful Yarra Valley and close to the picturesque Dandenong Ranges.

Hi my name is Andrew and I will be your easy-going host here. I have been involved in organic agriculture, permaculture and viticulture for about 10 years and have travelled to different countries backpacking and have wwoofed many times around Australia. I am passionate about farming organically and living sustainably (sensibly) and try to live and work without impacting on the planet as best I can. I love to cook and can cook dishes from most cultures, but always learning more. I like to preserve excess fruit and vegetables throughout the year also, focussing on more traditional and simple techniques and recipes.

Accommodation here is shared in a well-presented and tidy farmhouse. There is one room available to share (sleeps 2). Well stocked kitchen and bathroom is sh... more inside

Hi! I'm looking for helpers who can help me running this milk bar in Junction village(1 hour to Melbourne city).
Only work two days a week as a cashier and you will get food & accommodation free. It's very easy to learn. Normally we are not busy you'll have a lot of time do your own things at living room. You can also try to find a part-time job nearby.
I have three dogs, two birds, I love cooking and fishing, you're welcome to diving with me on your day off.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.
I look forward to hearing from you :)

Looking for someone with carpentry/handyman skills to build a chicken coop and lay a floating floor over a very uneven garage floor. I would expect 3 days work in exchange for accomodation.
We will be away for one week. There are 3 bedrooms, so a group who can work together would be fine. Get the work done faster and have more time to explore Melbourne. We are very close to trains and buses. And very close to the CBD.
Accomodation is available 3-10 August 2018.

We are seeking helpers for our farm located near Yarram in the beautiful Gippsland region of Victoria. The property is nestled in the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges and overlooks the coast and picturesque countryside in this part of the world. Wilson's Promontory is just over an hour away from this idyllic location, the untouched beauty of Tarra-Bulga National Park is 30 mins and the start of 90 Mile Beach is just over 35 minutes (amazing swimming beach).

The property is 30 acres in size and home to a range of amazing Australian wildlife including: echidnas, kangaroos, koalas (heard them, but yet to see them), cockatoos and kookaburras.

We are setting the farm up to be an organic beef operation . It's early days at the moment, meaning you will get to try your hand at a range of interesting tasks, including:

Fencing

Establishing the vegetable garden/orchard

Laying out walking trails

Maintenance of stock watering points

Looking for someone end April to end June for about 2 weeks.

Our home sits on 2 1/2 acres just 26km north east of Melbourne. We are a middle aged couple with our 24 year old daughter and an elderly cat living with us. The house is in a great location, with access to public transport, also close to the Yarra Valley and walking bike tracks. There is a bus which is a 10 mins ride to Eltham train station where you can catch a train the the centre of Melbourne - takes 40mins. The house is in a residential street but with lovely bush views at the rear of the property and plenty of kangaroos and birds around.

Our home is very comfortable, you would have a room to yourself with a shared bathroom with my daughter. There is one queen size bed which would have to be shared if 2 persons apply. I would expect 4 hours work a day in exchange for your own bedroom, shared bathroom and meals. I am happy for you to have your meals with the family, however at times you will be expected to cook for... more inside

Hello and welcome to our Farm.
We have a small recreational horse and cattle property in a picturesque dairying area near the tourist town of Warrnambool on Victoria's south west coast. Only an hours drive to the iconic 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road or a half-day round trip to the Grampians national park. It is a 3hr trip to Melbourne by train or car. Our historic homestead and BnB is lots of fun but lots of work. We are renovating inside and out leaving the history but with modern conveniences. We are keen to redevelop the farm as well but need help. We are open to new ideas and good practises in farming.
Meals; a quality Queen size bed, clean comfortable private room or caravan, shared bathroom, heating/cooling, free WIFI provided.

You can chose how to use that time from a list of tasks and you can break it up so that you can enjoy this beautiful, unique experience.

Our place is old and needs careful handling. This is suited to those with skills with horses, tree p... more inside

We live on a totally off-grid property in the Stony Rises with kangaroos, koalas and wallabies, within easy driving distance of the Otway Ranges and the Great Ocean Road.
There is a great deal of work involved in developing this property and we can always do with help - anything from working in the vegetable garden, to hoeing thistles, to carpentry work, constructing fences, the list goes on! Maybe you could design and build a new letterbox with us?
We love having heaps of people around and sharing meals. We're vegetarians, and you can either eat our delicious vegetarian meals with us, or cook your own meat.
