I live in a large beach house that's a bit too much for me to maintain. I also need to do a lot of work in the garden and I find it very hard to find the time because I have a couple of boat projects on the go. People with practical skills, who can help with the boat work would be great.
I'm looking for one or two couples and I would be asking for 20 hours work a week from each person, in exchange for accommodation and food provided with shared cooking (I'm not much of a cook), so enthusiastic cooks especially welcome. I have boats on the beach, which is directly out the front with bushwalking and the Barron River across the road. 15-20 minutes drive (or there's a bus) to the center of Cairns. Amazing bushwalks, waterfalls 10 minutes drive away, which I like to do some early mornings (too hot later).
I would say to plan on a two week stay, maybe longer if it suits everyone, there's no shortage of work to be done.

I prefer a non vegetarian diet, and I would prefer non smokers, ... more inside

We need help keeping our 2.5 acres property under control. We have a fruit orchard and vegetable garden as well as flower gardens that constantly need weeding and pruning. We also have chickens for fresh eggs. You would have your own room and bathroom. We do not have reliable public transport so your own car would be advisable. If necessary we can drop you at local shopping centre to get bus.
We require 5 hrs per day for 5 days then 2 days off. All food will be provided but you will prepare your own breakfast and lunch.we are helpful and look forward to having you stay with us

Unavailable at the moment.

Update - we’re also looking for help at Mt Nebo, just 20 minutes up the road from The Gap. We would love some help in the yard... cutting branches, raking, etc. Own transport would be great so you can come and go as you like. The Chalet (cabin) can sleep three. The internet is ok, not always reliable.
Can send you photos if interested.

A family home located in The Gap, Brisbane, 11kms from the city. Conveniently located across from Brisbane Forest Park where you can enjoy bush walking and water sports. The express bus is only a three minute walk away. We have parking available too.
We would love help with our gardening, housework, cooking (vegetarians welcome), car washing and some house maintenance. Our house has an open fire place to enjoy during the winter months and a swimming pool for summer. We have wifi too!
There are two beautiful cats living here and we also often mind one large beautiful dog.
You would have your own bedroom with a ... more inside

I have a lovely split level home perched on a mountain in the Gold Coast hinterland. Mudgeeraba is a beautiful bush  suburb of the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is surrounded by bush and has an abundance of wildlife and a vast range of birds and animals including rock wallabies and Koalas. Often you will see wallabies grazing in the back yard, and if you are patient, also koala’s in the trees. You definitely will hear the latter even if you do not see them!
This is a wonderful opportunity to stay in a very picturesque part of the Gold Coast. This 8 acre property is set in bushland at an altitude of 1300 ft with 270 deg uninterrupted view of the Gold Coast surrounds and beaches. The property is only 7 minutes drive to Mudgeeraba township, 12 minutes to Robina and a further 20 mins to beaches and Surfers Paradise. One of the major Shopping Centres is only 10 mins away (Robina Town Centre) . Also one of the largest shopping centres in Queensland is only 25 mins away. If you pr... more inside

We have an 80 cow mixed dairy herd, a biodynamic broadcaster and practise natural biological farming methods in the North Western part of South East Queensland. Suffering from drought at this time. We are good, honest people and like living healthy (Weston A Price based). James (48) has a job off farm and Cassandra (45) is a natural therapist, both non smokers. We run the farm ourselves. We enjoy conversations about energy, health, farming, travelling and more. There may be a variety of tasks such as milking, feeding farm animals, gardening, cleaning and we need our helper/s to have previous experience with cows or a dairy. There will be plenty of opportunities to leave the farm to see the local areas. Lots of bushwalking. We are considered to be in a remote area (though I don't think it is!) 23km from the closest small town (Biggenden) and 55km (Maryborough) from the closest large town. We do have wi-fi - slow, and we also have phone reception. We do expect capable helpers who d... more inside

Our home is situated just 300 metres from the Eagle Junction railway station, in a quiet, leafy street, the location is what sets our place apart. Only minutes from Toombul shopping centre, and the restaurant and cafe scene in Clayfield, with public transport on the doorstep, Clayfield is one of Brisbane’s most sought after locations.

The accommodation is of a high standard - a one bedroom furnished apartment with total privacy. It has a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and wifi.

We live upstairs - the accommodation would suit a single girl.

The helping hours (about 2 and three quarter hours each person per day) can be flexible;
Available from 11 January 2020
