Since 1978 this Station has pioneered ecological methods of improving degraded lands using stock management, weed control and planting improved grasses. Now the beautiful paddocks with their groves of native trees, spectacular boabs and eucalyptus, serve as a model for sustainable management of the tropical savannah and support our horses and cattle herd.

The Kimberley School of Horsemanship offers training for all ages in horse care, horse training and riding. Facilities include a round yard, rodeo arena and special paddocks for care and foaling. Horse rides are available for all levels of experience. The School includes a breeding program for Quarab horses.

Our small scale Tourism facilities include a bush style campground and a limited number Savannah Bungalows in the beautiful gardens around the homestead. For those interested in our approach to sustainable ecology we have ecotours and horseback trail rides through our paddocks.

We live in Fremantle, Perth and are currently looking for help with renovating our new (old) house from the beginning of September onwards.

We may also need help with some gardening and possibly child care.

Ideally we're looking for builders or carpenters, or people with other relevant skills and experience.

Depending on your skills and interests, there is plenty to do.

We have a lovely little daughter, so if you have experience with children, that would be great.

This post would suit friends travelling together or a couple.

In exchange, we can offer accommodation in wonderful Fremantle, good food and English-speaking company. We are also flexible about working hours/days. In addition, we can offer some additional payment to those of you with relevant skills and experience.

We look forward to hearing from you, Ana, Andrew & Lucía.

P.S. The reviews here refer to our old house in Nimbin, NSW, which was completed with a great deal of generous h... more inside

Our rustic home is part of a community not far from the South Coast. The population of our home fluctuates with young adult children. Plenty of opportunities in maintaining bushland abound, as do building maintainence tasks. We are fifteen kilometers from town, a quiet location.

At our farm, we try to live sustainably and minimise our impact on the earth. This means we grow a lot of our food, don't use poisons and eat seasonally.

As you'll notice if you come and visit, we try to repurpose, recycle and reuse as much as we can. We hate waste and the thought of perfectly serviceable items ending up in land fill!

We have always grown fruit and vegetables and have over 80 nut and fruit trees on the property. We have several bee hives, which help our fruit to pollinate and provide us with delicious honey. We also have many olive trees which we use for pickling and for oil.

We don't use poisons on our crops, which are irrigated using rainwater collected in our dam. Whilst we're not certified organic, we can't see the point of using poisons on food that we'll eat or allowing it to end up in our ground water.

We run our tractor on biodiesel, made from discarded restaurant oils.

We are currently building our sustainable café restaurant and you can keep... more inside
